I still drink coffee every day but i dont overdo it.. just one coffee a day and it will be fine..

I have pretty high blood pressure. Wanting to know if anyone has advice on how to help lower it. I haven't been adding salt to things or drinking coffee.

Tea does not trigger a blood pressure spike, for most people. Tea has compounds in it that counteract what caffeine does to blood pressure, so the net effect is a wash. If you like tea, and you have high blood pressure, you're probably better off drinking tea than coffee.

I am 35 years old and never thought I had HIgh Blood pressure until recently. As I am into my higher studies, when visiting the doctor for a fall, they told me I had high pressure readings of 160/110. My pulse was also high, ( I was diagnosed with tachycardia some years ago which was again put down to stress.) They put it down to anxiety and stress, and gave me atenenol 25 mg. Since then I have developed a fear, and my pulse raises whenever the doctor checks my pressure, and my pressure is high.

I mix it up. I have an espresso machine I bought back in those carefree days before I became an angst-ridden PVC'er. I keep regular and decaf espresso on hand and I'll mix a little bit of regular in with the decaf depending on how I feel. In the am I take my blood pressure and if its ok and I'm not having any palps before my beta blocker kicks in, I'll add more regular to the mix. I find though that every day is different.
