824226 tn?1238634194 I currently take 40mg of celexa at night and am taking 37.5 mg of phentemerine. I have not noticed any side effects but what are they I am curious if ever i noticed something different about myself. I cant find anything on the internet to find an answer to this question.
2204316 tn?1338833844 I was on 4 different eye drops, had antibiotics (oral and 2 shots), steroids, and saw 3 different doctors. It finally cleared up but the vision in my left eye is now changed. It is blurry and I see a halo around lights at night. The opthamologist said my eyes were dry and advised me to use dry eye drops. I had just gotten new glasses and contacts a couple months before and now I can't wear my contacts and can't see that well with my glasses.
Avatar f tn Well, I know that spots and vision changes can be associated with preeclampsia and other health issues. It may also be no big deal though. Drink a lot of water to stay hydrated and call your doctor just to keep them in the loop. They may want you to come in and it's always better to be safe than sorry. Good luck!
915119 tn?1341948989 I had vision changes with both my pregnancies...Always started in the first trimester...I noticed that my glasses started becoming stronger and giving me headaches. I couldn't wear them sometimes...I remember reading a while ago "What to Expect When Expecting Book" and it said it was common to have vision changes...
7891785 tn?1397532007 Has anyone had changes in vision since being pregnant? I JUST had an eye exam like 2 wks before i got pregnant got my new glasses and such, prescription was totally different than my last. I use to be able to see fine w/out my glasses. Now i struggle to walk w/out them. I know it is also affected by the new prescription, but it shouldnt be affected this much. I know i need to go back and see my eye dr, and i do plan to, just curious if anyone else has had issues with their vision changing.
Avatar f tn A few months back I had a horrible eye infection...a week later my vision was hazy and I went to the Ophthalmologist he said I had infiltrates and prescribed Lotemax. I was on it for about a month but I never got 100%, still can hardly see at night (see glare, starburst and halos) I had to go to the doctor every week for a checkup. Well, on my last checkup with the Ophthalmologist I felt as if he just blew me off saying that it was just going to take time.
Avatar f tn The classic signs of optic neuritis are pain in/behind the eye, pain with movement of the eye, color desaturation in the affected eye, and sometimes aberations of light and vision. Most often there are shadows in one of the visual fields. Change in prescription/acuity are not typical signs. I'm glad you have an appointment with a neurologist coming up. Make sure you tell him about this and about the results of the Ophtho visit. And tell us how it goes!
Avatar f tn I did but I actually had extreme light sensitivity and small vision changes. It went back to normal after. This second pregnancy I've had some blurriness and light sensitivity but it seems to adjust itself.
Avatar n tn ve been having really weird vision. Everything looks so much smaller and farther away and it ruined my depth perception. I keep walking into things. Anybody know if it'll go away? I can still see fine, decent clarity as always. Just depth perception, really.
Avatar f tn We tried sleep studies, guided meditation, diet changes, exercise changes, vitamins and steady schedules... Nothing helped. My PCP on a yearly checkup said "let's try meds" and I decided it was time to get a good night sleep. Starting me immediately on Ativan and Celexa and weening me off of the Ativan in the first month stopped my night terrors in there place. And for the first time, my family and I noticed those little oddities of mine were gone!
Avatar f tn ve had blurred vision before and was always told it was anxiety. I was on klonopin before and wondered if I needed to go back on that. The xanax calms me down but my heart beats fast after taking it. I need to get better I can't afford to not work.
Avatar f tn And what is a better drug to take? I am ADD/ADHD and really stressed out. I feel better when I take celexa 20 mg. daily and 5mg of Ritalin twice daily. I am only 4'11" and this weight HAS GOT TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Avatar f tn My doctor just put me on Venlafaxine chl er for depression and pain, I am switching from celexa 40mg and have taken half of each each night for the past three nights. I feel horrible, I feel like a zombie, barely able to get out of bed, dizzy, blurry vision, spacing out, nausea, and all I want to do is sleep. Is this normal when switching drugs, I dont even know if I want to continue if im going to feel like this. I havent been able to go to work and I have two kids to look after.
Avatar m tn When I first started Celexa I had diarhea and general stomach upset. I felt a little jittery, especially at bed time. Besides that I had no other side effects. I have found that Celexa works quite well for me. I think the thing with depression meds is that you need to find what's right for you. If you are still feeling depressed, keep getting your dosage increased - 40 mg is the common dose for cronic depression.
Avatar m tn of your symptoms and how often they occur, how bad they bother you, if you take any pain relievers or other meds, and any changes you may experience. My post was really long but I put everything in there that has happened to me that may or may not be a factor simply because I'm not a doctor and I need help putting the pieces together. Tell your doctor you're not against taking the celexa but AFTER he figures out if you have a sinus or ear infection and what not. do you have insurance?
1166402 tn?1303847056 I've been generic Celexa for 3 weeks now and was wondering if very slight blurred vision is a side effect. I feel like I need to squint when I look at things from across the room. It's not bad, but with my anxiety it's starting to get to me...
Avatar n tn After having you describe the taper off method you used, before introducing the Celexa, I highly doubt it is Serotonin Syndrome. SS is actually much more rare than most people think. It is a danger, but rare indeed. In most cases Serotonin Syndrome is caused when people take VERY high dosages of two or more SSRI meds at the same time. Your Zoloft taper method is fine. You got down to 25Mgs a day and then started the Celexa. That's a safe way to do it.
1268921 tn?1288919056 I read on a Neurology website that 150mg was very effective as a migraine preventative, so I started taking that amount a week ago and so far I have been migraine free! I took Celexa before trying Effexor and that gave me major sugar cravings and I gained 5 lbs in a week! Plus, I was getting horrible migraines just about everyday with it. Effexor XR has not given me any munchies. So, this is just something to think about as another option if you need one later.
Avatar f tn t noticed any changes yet. Previously I was taking Welbutrin, depakote and celexa. I have asked her to put me back.on celexa for anxiety since I dont want to take a narcotic for it like xanax. Has anyone else been on this combination and how long did it take to start leveling out??
Avatar m tn so i have been on celexa for about two months now, and recently i have been trying to lose weight i am 5'11 230 pounds (now i know that sounds bad but if you saw me you would not guess i was 230 pounds, i have very muscular legs which is why i think i weight 230) anyway, i have set a goal for myself to be 190 pounds by my 21st birthday, which i think is totally achievable back when my anxiety first started and i wasn't on any meds i was running 4 miles a day + weight training and i drop
4548569 tn?1356292637 I used to be (prior to taking the Celexa) a really mellow and laid back person and now I have become quite the opposite. Has anyone experienced something similar? I don't really want to stop taking the Celexa but I don't like being the way I am either. I know you can't have your cake and eat it too but there is surely a middle ground in this situation.
