Celexa with ibuprofen

Common Questions and Answers about Celexa with ibuprofen

celexa

Avatar n tn I just started taking celexa and have had terrible sinus headaches and feel like my sinus is completly dried out along with chest congestion. Anyone else had these?
Avatar m tn After a couple weeks of panic attacks and the most annoying anxiety symptoms I started talking with a therapist who recommended I give Celexa a try. I just thought I would share what I have been going through the past couple of weeks and see if you had any suggestions on how to deal with this until the Celexa kicks in. Below is a journal that I have kept on my phone. Any insights or stories would be super helpful. Thanks!
897400 tn?1303332748 I take neurontin 1800mg a day, 50mg Trazodone ( usually ), and was taking ibuprofen 800 x 3 daily. I quit using the ibuprofen and switched to tylenol after reading the insert with the celexa, but it indicated that using it concurrently with trazodone can be problematic too. Has anyone had a reaction similar to mine? I can't see the point of adding another drug to my current list if it's not going to make me feel better. And the headache is coming back now that the Tylenol is wearing off.
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with this my a physcial medicine doctor. I have had severe arm pain with swelling of my middle finger and stiffness for about 8 years (I am 28). I saw her and she said my case was complicated and prescribe nortriptilyne, which isn't helping the pain and it's ben 4 weeks. We talked a few weeks ago and she told me she thinks I have CRPS, and sent me for a bone scan, which was normal.
Avatar n tn I am on Celexa and that has helped with the crying. I am still using, 10-12 norco 10/325 a day is what they are prescribing me, just had nerve surgery. But not being able to clean, too high a dose of neurontin made me either so giddy that I would be bouncing off the walls or so sad I was laying on the floor sobbing. They knocked my neurontin down to 300mg twice/day and put me on the Celexa. I have been on Zoloft, Prozac, Ascendin, Elavil (not all at the same time!
Avatar f tn Otherwise, why would Ibuprofen help with chills where there is no fever?? You can try it, too, but I take Ibuprofen cautiously because it can be hard on the stomach. Heed the warning on the label!
317787 tn?1473362051 So, I am going to try tylenol for fever and reserve ibuprofen for really bad times. Last night was bad, I only took two ibuprofen vs the 4 I usually take. My hemo said that aspirin paralyzes the platelets for a week while ibuprofen does the same for a few days. I was going to take the pills out and put them in a pill box with a timer. The nurse from Vertex told me to keep them in their containers as they would stay fresh that way. Oh well, I will come up with a better way.
Avatar n tn Swelling went down, my headache ceased after a weeks use and I finally felt like a normal human being, although I have permanently lost partial vision in my left eye. Now I intermittantly get headaches with painful eyemovement but celexa usually takes of that. Uveitis also pops back up sometimes concomittantly, sometimes on its own. But the tingling and numbness in my hands, again especially my left, has been incessant for the past 3 weeks. It is especially worse in the morning.
Avatar f tn Celecoxib (Celebrex) belongs in the class of NSAIDs or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, similar to aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, etc. It is used to relieve pain and inflammation. Celexa is citalopram, a SSRI or selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. It is similar to fluoxetine (Prozac) and belongs in the same drug class, SSRI. It is used to treat depression and other mental health conditions. I am not sure what you mean in regards to "mind relaxation".
Avatar m tn I have been able to get through the physical withdrawals easy, with the help of suboxn.. By biggest problem begins about a week after I have been clean. I deal with terrible mental deamons that will not leave my head. The cravings get unbearable and i end up relapsing. Then the cycle begins again. Does anybody have any advice about how to Stop the mental cravings????
Avatar n tn I am diagnosed with bipolar disorder. i take lithium ER 450mg BID, Mirapex 1mg for RLS, and zoloft 100mg to treat depression. I can usually fall asleep, however i wake and stay up for a few hours every night. i have tried benedryl, klonopin, trazadone, serequil, and elavil for relief however every one of these meds has a paradoxical effect on me. Any suggestions?
Avatar f tn He tells me that he could exercise more to lose the weight he has gained if there is a drug that could reduce or eliminate the constant headaches. Acetaminophen, ibuprofen, or naproxen only make the headaches worse. Would a very small dose of celexa help (i.e. 5 to 10 mg.)? Otherwise, is there a good prescription drug that will work. If anyone has been prescribed a drug that works, please share this with me. Thank you.
Avatar f tn I also take Lisinopril/HCTZ, 20 mg of Celexa, 1 Lodrane, and two otc Dramamine (that if for the nausea). I stopped taking Ibuprofen over three weeks ago. I thought things were better, but I have thrown up twice in the last week. It seems that I get nauseous after most meals. Most of the time it does not lead to vomiting. Many times I will wake up at 4 or so in the morning to vomit. The doctors seems to be at a loss as to what is causing the problems. Does anyone have any ideas?
Avatar f tn I'm really anxious about taking medications for anxiety, but after having limited success with counseling, exercise, etc. only to be caught back up in another anxious cycle I'm giving an SSRI (Prozac) a try. After reading the VERY LENGTHY patient inserts from the pharmacy, I'm troubled by whether there are any 'unlisted' drug interactions or something like that that I'm missing. The doctor is aware of daily medication that I'm taking (ex.
Avatar n tn I am a moderate drinker and smoke socially. I have been on 20 mgs of Celexa for 8 months and Well Butrin for 4 months 300 mgs. My issues started about a month ago (maybe a little more). 1. Unexplained random brushing (a little more than 10 in total – which have stopped) lasted a few weeks 2. A week after that I felt terrible stomach pain – I thought it was ulcer (ish) so I started taking prilosec and the pain went away in 3 days. 3.
Avatar n tn When I had the blood work drawn, I was just finishing up a 2 month stint taking 800 mg of Ibuprofen 3 times a day for ten inflammation in my wrist. With the slightly elevated liver enzymes I also had a progesterone level so low it was undetectable. I know that progesterone can affect how your body metabolizes fat. I do not know what my progesterone was pre-surgery. Again, even pre-surgery, my liver enzymes were normal and in December of 2008, they were also normal.
1166402 tn?1303850656 Without knowing your age, your level of physical activity, if you have any other physical problems such as diabetes, any other meds you may be on, the exact nature of these "weird symptoms." it will be difficult for us to give you much. When the doctors told you there was nothing wrong with your legs, which tests did they use to rule out anything organically wrong?
Avatar f tn Here is the patient information that would be dispensed with Celexa if you were to fill it with us. Citalopram Hydrobromide Oral tablet Trade Names Celexa The list of names may not include all products that are available on the market. What is this medicine? CITALOPRAM is a medicine for depression. This medicine may be used for other purposes; ask your health care provider or pharmacist if you have questions. What should I tell my health care provider before I take this medicine?
Avatar n tn During the day the intensity level fluctuates and becomes more/less severe along with neck tension, facial tension and ears plugging more. This has been going on for over seven years. In the least six months I’ve tried PT, went to the pain management clinic where I got trigger point injections for my shoulders and headaches. The injections helped my shoulders my shoulder pain but not me headaches. I’ve seen a GP, neurologist, ENT, physical therapist, allergist and chiropractor etc.
397118 tn?1219765850 Hi everyone my pains are back now that I'm not numbed with all those pain killers and so my upper back is killing me for the past 3 days and I'been taking tylenol 2 to 3 times a day but not helping I have an appointment to see a chiropractor but I want to know if you all know what is safe for someone like me to take over the counter or prescription for pain on my shoulder blade and upper back. Avatar n tn I am a male, 30 years old, have a good diet, and exercise. I am a moderate drinker and smoke socially. I have been on 20 mgs of Celexa for 8 months and Well Butrin for 4 months 300 mgs. My issues started about a month ago (maybe a little more). 1. Unexplained random brushing (a little more than 10 in total – which have stopped) lasted a few weeks 2. 997730 tn?1254281976 Hrrm, I don't have a copy of the lab test yet, so maybe it was for the test you mention. I don't know anything about anti-depressants, I'll have to look up what SSRI is. Prozac scares me... I don't know why. But if it helps me keep control of myself, I'll try it.
Avatar f tn Where did you read or hear that celexa interferes with hydrocodone half-life and metabolism? Just wondering since I can't seem to find anything on it. As for using klonopin to ease your withdrawals, there are no doctors here who can advise you, and giving that kind of medical advice is forbidden. There are a couple alarms to be aware of about the klonopin. It's all too easy to overdose on it while you're detoxing and desperate for relief.
479459 tn?1246745619 I was going to take a hot bath last night and got too tired to deal with it. I wonder if I shouldn't mix the L tyrosine with my celexa? Ok...if it's bearable after a week, maybe I can take it. I don't understand tho..yesterday I felt better than the day before...I thought I was on the mend..and now this??!! sorry to whine...anyone reading this tho who ever thinks even an ocassional use of perc or vike can't turn into this ....maybe they can be helped. I thought i had control till now.
Avatar n tn 5) does not help me much with my low back pain unless coupled with the soma.Even if I take ibuprofen with the soma it helps better than if I take ibuprofen alone or tylenol, take soma with it and it helps. I know I cannot be alone on this one. Please, am I?
Avatar f tn You can take Tylenol but not Ibuprofen when you have HCV I know it sounds opposite (and is), but it has something to do with Ibuprofen being an NISAID or something spelled like that.
Avatar n tn and allow me to feel like i was alive. right now i feel like i am in a glass coffin that allows me to see but not connect with my family or friends. the thought of suicide is forever in the back of my mind, it feels like the only way to find a lasting solution. the only thing holding me back is what effect it would have on my family. i have become very good at letting people see what i want them to see, so they are not aware of my desperation.
391274 tn?1210631465 So, now what I do in between fruitless Dr visits is basically try to deal with the symptoms as they come with a cocktail of Ibuprofen, Xanax and Albuterol. The Ibuprofen seems to alleviate the swelling feeling I get in my throat and the aching tightness in my chest to some degree. The inhaler is a nice touch, but it only helps to a certain extent. The Xanax is kind of last resort for me.
Avatar n tn I have also been undetected since week 12. The only other meds I'm on are synthroid, celexa and atavan. My enzymes were rising before these meds. My AFP test also came back within normal range. I can't seem to get a straight answer, even from my doctor as to what's going on here. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar f tn I am 32 years old, just recently had a CT of the abd/pelvis with and without contrast for a weird discomfort I had been having for 4-5 weeks. CT showed a small ovarian cyst. That evening on my way home I got a really really bad headache. I took ibuprofen for it and starting the next day I've had neck pain, tension and tingling sensations. They travel from behind my ears (to the base of my skull), my jaw to the front of my chin and especially my neck, under the jaw bone.
