Celexa and excedrin

Common Questions and Answers about Celexa and excedrin

celexa

Avatar n tn he was put on amytryptilye to wean off the daily excedrin and the excedrin PM. i hope you are still reading because this is serious. the doctors missed it and eventually my husband ended up critical in the hospital with renal failure. he had a parathyroid adenoma which caused the increased calcium that caused the renal failure. he is lucky he lived. i regret that we were not on top of this. it was the calcium which were causing the headaches.
Avatar n tn I've been on Celexa for 1 week. I was on 40mg of Paxil for 7 years. I have depression and panic attacks. I've been having the "classic" paxil withdrawl symptoms: -vertigo(wow, it has a name? I thought I was crazy for feeling this!) -flu like symptoms -extreme moodiness -tremors -etc, etc, etc... Anyway, my doctor said nothing about weening off of Paxil. Are the effects of Celexa supposed to (for lack of a better phrase) take over where the Paxil left off?
Avatar n tn However, I have developed a severe headache, clenching jaw, grinding teeth, and neck, facial and shoulder tension. I am positive this is from the zoloft, and I did NOT have these symptoms when I was taking only klonopin. The headache does not subside and I have tried everything from Tylenol, to excedrin, to drinking a lot of water, not drinking caffeine, drinking more caffeine, exercise. Is there anything (muscle relaxer??
Avatar n tn needles to ay i was misserable, i felt like some one was laying up acanst me and it made it difficult to breath like i was not getting enough air. my fingers and face where tingling, and i was becoming very anxios. the dr had a ekg but did not find anything to wrong or atleast he said that would kill me wich really did not make me fill any better. he gave up on the problem my pulse ox o2 stats where fine, my blood suger was at 97 so that rules out hypoglycemia.
Avatar n tn If you are having similar problems i very much suggest trying an SSRI. The two i've tried are Lexapro and Celexa which are almost the same drug. These drugs are commonly prescribed by general practitioners or psychiatrists for depression and anxiety. Heres an scientific article that pretty much says what i just said: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1356491 Anyways, good luck, and don't do drugs kids.
Avatar n tn I was prescribed Topamax along with an appetite suppressant (Adipex) for weight loss a bit over a year ago and stopped taking them after two and a half months. I did not lose all of the weight I had wanted to, but most of it. I had gained 55 pounds while on Paxil over the course of two and a half years. By taking a combination of the two medicines, I lost 22 pounds the first month, 10 pounds the second month, and 8 pounds the first half of the third month.
Avatar n tn Things started to get worse in 10 mins, and suddenly, my heart was racing, my hands and feet were tingling and numb and I was sweating and flushing. (no chest pain, shortness of breath). Went back home to rest. Major complaint the next couple days were a strong feeling of pulsations INSIDE my head, often in my neck, face, ears and jaw. No pain or headache.
Avatar n tn I have been on several different preventive meds. Topamax, noritryptaline, celexa and the latest was verapamil which is a calcium channel blocker. I was actually having more migraines on some of them. I see a headache specialist but there are only a handful of them in the country that have actually ever treated this type of migraine. I definitely think that hormones play a role for me, as I have one of these migraines during every period, so there may never be a medication that works for me.

Avatar m tn Well, on the way home driving, I became very ill, vague symptoms of just not feeling well, I was soar all over, a little dizzy, it was hard to hold my head up. We had to make a stop and I took some excedrin and we tried to rest as best we could in a truck stop in the freezing dessert. Well, I made it home from that trip and thought after a couple days rest I would be fine. It never really happened. I started getting weaker and weaker as the weeks went by.
Avatar f tn Hello. I'm just at a loss. I don't know who to see or what to do. I am a 45-year-old female, and I have been experiencing shortness of breath and mild chest pain and/or "twinges" which have become gradually worse over the past couple of years. I was a smoker; quit over two years ago (rarely experienced any discomfort other than an occasional cough while I smoked!). I take 30mg of Celexa once per day for mild anxiety and depression (20mg for first 6 years, 30mg for past 1-2 years).

Syva labs has recently reworked its Cannabinoid test and claims to have eliminated this problem. But a Science magazine article (July 8, 1988) lists Ibuprofen as cross reactive. Avatar f tn I was completely unconsciouss after that, and was told that my eyes were in the back of my head and I was sweating alot and they couldn't wake me up. When I woke up, 3 minuets later I was told, I was soaked in sweat and really pissed off that someone woke me up. My friend said I was crying and yelling at her. I still had that horrible dizzy/nausea feeling when they carried me to the car for a few minuets, then I felt completely back to normal.

Avatar f tn I have had headaches dating back to my early teen years, seems to always resolve with excedrin migraines, but then taking them often would lead to bruising on my arrns and legs. I have sunlight sensitivity, and would literally burn in the sun. I have always thought it was from being allergic to sunscreen. I have stop using sunscreen, and now use cocoa butter when in the sun, but then would develop rashes in certain areas. - Always has to wear sunglasses out in the sun.

429155 tn?1205676864 I went to my GP complaning of no sense of smell, saw a surgeon and surgery was recomended, I was given a prescription for Prednisone, a steroid, this gave me some sense of smell, and here's the but, I had the operation and still could not smell, so more Prednisone, well the upshot is that the steroids have caused my Osteo-Necrosis, this is when the heads of the long bones die, so have now had core decompression on one hip and the other totally replaced. Oxycontin.
544292 tn?1268886268 D I just love you guys! Such honesty and kindness and willingness to help. It's such a blessing! I think this place attracts some of the most intelligent and caring people in the world. So gratifying. I haven't posted for a very long time ... but I will always keep this thread going. I remember so well the desperation I had to hear from anyone ... anyone about how they got off. Now there's years worth of posts from people round the world who kicked Tram.
Avatar m tn I'd also suggest stocking up on Motrin, Tylenol and Excedrin Migraine for the headaches and body aches that are sure to come. Whether you go cold turkey or taper, the first week off is rough. But the thing to remember is that it gets better. You CAN do this. And you found the right place here for help. The people here are amazing and more supportive than you can imagine. If you have a question, need to vent, are having a craving, post away.
Avatar m tn I finally found a clinic that would help me with my Pain Management and the Doc is a little blunt and sort of rude. He told me I am a drug seeker and a liar. He ended up giving me the RX for my pain and a urine test. I didn't lie to him about what would be found in my system and have my first follow up this week. I have a problem though. I signed a contract about other Doctors prescribing meds. Between the visits I ate something I am apparently allergic to and had to go to the ER.
Avatar n tn I am on Celexa and that has helped with the crying. I am still using, 10-12 norco 10/325 a day is what they are prescribing me, just had nerve surgery. But not being able to clean, too high a dose of neurontin made me either so giddy that I would be bouncing off the walls or so sad I was laying on the floor sobbing. They knocked my neurontin down to 300mg twice/day and put me on the Celexa. I have been on Zoloft, Prozac, Ascendin, Elavil (not all at the same time!
