My doc thinks my vomiting and indigestion could be helped with over the counter indigestion meds. Is anyone else taking anything? Have they worked? How have they reacted with your anxiety meds?

Then, 2 days ago (feb 2008) he blacked out and totalled his car. he was free of drugs and alcohol, and the only med he was on was celexa. I AM TERRIFIED!!! he is scared to go off the antidepressant, and I am scared for him to stay on them. can this be an adverse reaction. he HAD taken nyquil the night before his accident, but it had been about 15 hours.
Celexa tends to be a better med generally for anxiety than Prozac because Prozac tends to be stimulating, though Prozac is considered an easier med to take and especially to stop taking. If you quit Celexa cold turkey and just switched to Prozac, you could be suffering from withdrawal, or it cold be side effects of Prozac, or it could be the problem I mentioned, that Prozac tends not to work as well when anxiety is the main problem, though for some it works fine. Lots to consider.
I went through a phase where I believed that I did not need medication, and that I could fix myself with diet and exercise. I stopped taking it cold turkey also. That was a terrible mistake. I felt the same symptoms that you are describing. I was incredibly dizzy and I even threw up a few times. I informed my psychiatrist of how I stopped without weaning myself off of it. He told me that it could cause permanent damage to my memory (if I continue to start and stop drugs without weaning).
I went to the doctor and they put me on celexa. I went back a week later for blood tests and a physical because they suspected a thyroid problem. I told the doctor I had been trying to get pregnant so she told me to stop taking the celexa. The first doctor I saw at the same clinic knew I was trying to get pregnant when he put me on celexa, so I am confused why they contradicted each other. My tests all came out normal.
Vit C morning and afternoon, Echinacea 3x a day, honey, ginger n lemon tea, boil some chicken bones in a pot of water with carrot, celery, onion and a splash of vinegar for 24 hours then strain and drink a cup 2-3 times a day. These all work WAY quicker for me to relieve and cure a cold than any medicine I've found.
If it's allergy related you can take Claritin... Or however it is spelled. If it's cold related really you can only take Tylenol cold and flu. Web MD has a list... Here is the link

I wouldn't think there would be any reason that you couldn't take the cold medicine and I doubt they would cancel the procedure since it's only a needle Bx ... BUT I would call the Radiology Dept. early in the morning just to be sure. Every Physician and Institution has different requirements ... it would be best to call very early just to be sure.
