Celebrex pain killer

Common Questions and Answers about Celebrex pain killer

celebrex

Avatar n tn I can’t comment on celebrex, but acetaminophen remains the most widely recommended analgesic for Hep C patients. Despite its liver toxicity, taken in prescribed doses seems to be the best overall pain killer for us: ``````````````````````````` Jorge L. Avatar n tn I do take Celebrex for the rib pain these last month. I were diagnosed yesterday with Cotsochondritis but do not know if it can be something else. I did started treatment 2 years ago for the stomach - Nexium 4mg (five family members died of colocancer) I also have this strange pain in my hips down my legs - it starts and then after a while it feels better but then it feels tender over the vains and the muscles. Can this be my lower back.
Avatar m tn Has anyone used Celebrex for their Crohn's? I have severe joint point pain and I have been told that Celebrex is a huge help for this. I am wondering about side effects and medicine interactions.
Avatar f tn I have been prescibed Celebrex for osteoarthris pain. Can it be taken every day for long term management of arthritis.
1629986 tn?1299685955 i asked the doctor for stronger painkillers for arthritus and he gave me amitriptyline 10mg to take at night, they make no difference to pain but have made me extra anxious (i suffer from panic attacks and have been on citalapram 10mg for 7 months which have done nothing to stop panic or anxiety).
Avatar f tn Stenosis and scoliosis in lumber spine and osteoarthritis in both hands. Apart from the intermittent leg/bone pain I still suffer from in the long bones (which leaves the muscles tired and painful and as if they are contracting), I had excrutiating finger pains for the first part of this year. I have been on celebrex and had cortizone injections, but still continue to suffer, especially with the bone pain.
Avatar f tn t think there are many options for you Helen..Pain meds are about it. Are you on celebrex or any similar drugs? Before my surgery, I just flat out told my gp.."your job is to keep my pain in check so I can work until surgery". Sometimes you have to put your foot down with these guys! I had both my hips replaced (resurfaced) on July 22..Been out rassling with the snowblower today, and shoveling up a storm LOL!.
370181 tn?1595629445 My mom who is also suffering from chronic pain due to a back injury she sustained from a bad fall eight years ago, was also prescribed Celebrex by a surgeon who is an expert in pain management. Well, my mom was on the Celebrex for only two days. She felt very ill on the Celebrex and went off the Celebrex by herself as it was making her symptoms worse. Yes, I've also heard that Celebrex has cardiac risks, didn't know about the g i bleeding.
Avatar f tn Trying a new drug for pain... Celebrex. I was on Diamox but could not tolerate it as it caused severe kidney PAIN. So, my PCP wants me to try Celebrex (3 days on, 3 days off). Anyone have any experience/knowledge of this med and, if so, how did you fare with it?
Avatar f tn Does anyone take celebrex?I started Prozak last week and they want me to take celebrex too. They say my liver can take it, (stage 2 fibrosis). But I am afraid of the NSAIDs in celebrex, any one else taking it? Oh, I am on Methadone too. I am having my first liver biopsy in the morning, so I will find out more about my liver. I am scared to death about it coz I have had so many problems lately.
Avatar f tn Regular doc says I need to take celebrex for arthritis pain. I know it is a NSAID so I am scared of it. He thinks it is not a problem with hep c, but he is not a Hep C doc. What is the scoop on it? Any one taking it with Hep C?
10870053 tn?1416581194 Okay so I'm having some killer pain in my back. I can't sit up, lay down or anything without my back hurting BAD.
Avatar f tn I did take Duloxetine previously for pain (adjunct to the Celebrex) and it did help, but my GP is skeptical that Gabapentin would help even if combined with Duloxetine. Does anyone else have Osteoarthritis and is unable to take NSAIDS and have you found a medication that works? Thanks in advance for your replies.
Avatar f tn The neorologist we have here thought at first that it should not cause this much trouble. I awoke with a horrible pressure in my skull. For 2 weeks I tried every pain killer out there. I finally went to a chiropractor and in just two visits the pressure in my skull left but I have had constant neck and shoulder pain for over a year now. As soon as my feet hit the floor comes the pain. It is varying degrees througout the day.
5986700 tn?1380791380 hi angels....hub (non practicing oxy addict) just got a script for Celebrex ...he hasn't taken any yet ....he's nervous....any concerns or thoughts would be much appreeshies...love you all...I'm still here...hangin by my web......
394687 tn?1290920840 Just mentioned this cuz mine just started doing that last night. MAJOR RA (Rhuematoid) flare can hardly move - 1st major RA pain since starting tx. Also extremely fatigue - probably have some good stuff falling - will see Tuesday at my 4 wk PCR. But I'm very happy it's working...
Avatar dr m tn Before diving into another invasive procedure, I visited a pain management doctor. ONE of the many things we did was try Celebrex. Now I was very skeptical as it had done nothing prior to surgery. But once my spondy was fixed I though - let's try it again. I have to happily report that this NSAID really did work. So much so I was able to lay off the Vicodin and/or Norco as a supplement to "stay ahead of the pain".
Avatar m tn I started taking Celebrex two months ago and have gained 18 lbs since. I am wondering if anyone has gained weight on Celebrex? I have a sprained lumbar, lumbago syndrome with back spasms. I can't take narcotic pain meds. Any alternative to Celebrex? Naproxen does nothing for my pain.
Avatar m tn I had lumbar spine fusion six weeks ago and am in PT. Still some pain so am taking 3 Ultracet tabs per 24 hours with pretty good pain relief except following 30 minutes on the treadmill and various muscle building exercises and stretches. To calm down those muscles following exercises and stretches I would like to take one 200mg Celebrex daily but one drug interaction cite suggests "Moderate" drug-drug issue involving CYP450 2D6, which means nothing to me.
Avatar m tn I have the same problem with degenerative bones in lower back and bulging disks in neck so know how you feel, however, I am on day 5 of no hydros and yesterday my back hurt so bad I almost went to the emergency room. I had nothing to take so took a hot bath then put heating pad on it. Low and behold, today it felt better! Not like 100% better, still stiff and sore, but don't need pain killers better.
Avatar f tn I was on Mobic for a year or so and never had any issues besides stomach pain (which any NSAID's can cause) I get stomach pain with any NSAID's. Mobic wasn't really that affective for me but my insurance made me try practically every NSAID on the market before they would approve Celebrex. They denied Celebrex and even recommended a PPI (ulcer med) to take with the NSAID's because they didn't want to pay for Celebrex.
Avatar n tn I was on Celebrex 200 mg daily, my pain clinic dr also wants to add Cymbalta 30 mg for 7 days then 60 mg. My husband and I want to have children but are not activly trying at this point, it happens when it happens. I just want pain to stop or at least elevate more. SHould I take both together. My OB said it should be ok, My neuro dr said give it a try but pain clinic dr said don't. What should I do? I have taken it for 3 days now. I also have PCOS.
