Avatar m tn My chiropractor, I have neck and back issues, says that sometimes if you have a problem with neck pain it can connect with your shoulder. My husband actually has problems with his right shoulder and neck. He picked up something really heavy while helping his mom and dad at their house and threw out his shoulder. That was last year and he's still having problems with his right shoulder and neck. There is something called referred pain.
Avatar f tn I have increased bone pain and nausea. I then have diarreah and vomiting for 2 days, but the cramping is what cripples me. I then have to wean myself back onto solids. But the most frustrating part of the whole ordeal - is when I have gone through this I feel replenished. It is as though my body is trying to rid something - a build up of acids maybe?
Avatar m tn I am in a lot of back and joint pain. I am going to see my pain management doctor today. I take meloxicam for arthritis and I think I'm going to ask for a change. I have been told that Celebrex and Indomethacin is a good non narcotic combination. Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated.
Avatar f tn That's how I was before my pain started. I never took any sort of pain med. Even when I hurt myself at work and had to get stitches, they gave me a bottle of Vicodin, and I never took it. The only time I took anything was Midol for cramps. So almost every pill I take hurts my stomach. Even now that I'm not really on any medication, if I take Tylenol or Advil, they still hurt my stomach. So you're not alone.
Avatar n tn I do take Celebrex for the rib pain these last month. I were diagnosed yesterday with Cotsochondritis but do not know if it can be something else. I did started treatment 2 years ago for the stomach - Nexium 4mg (five family members died of colocancer) I also have this strange pain in my hips down my legs - it starts and then after a while it feels better but then it feels tender over the vains and the muscles. Can this be my lower back.
Avatar m tn I took Celebrex for several years for joint pain due to Crohn's. I keep having bowel obstructions so I went to a new dr. He told me to stop taking the Celebrex and start taking a tylenol everyday. I have not had any more obstructions but I do still have some joint pain.
Avatar f tn I have been prescibed Celebrex for osteoarthris pain. Can it be taken every day for long term management of arthritis.
Avatar n tn If the doctor thinks it is necessary for you to have X-rays or an MRI, he/she will send you for them. Also, they can help relieve the pain. There are therapies & exercises that can help with the pain. I should know...I'm currently seeing one - can't wait for my next appointment!
Avatar f tn My husband had C3-5 first then 6-7 to open his spine more and to correct what the first doc neglected to do but she won't admit he was negligent. From the first surgery my husband ended up with partial paralysis of his right arm. He is in constant pain but has been doing pretty good with the meds he's on now. The pain meds that truly work for him are highly addictive. I guess as with any of these kind as long as keep them refilled there's no problem.
Avatar n tn i feel lil bit sore where he did the injection for me, the problem is that i'm in pain for 3 weeks now, and the pain is getting worse day after day. when i sit dow or get up forget it, it's like someone is killing me. he told me if i didn't feel better after the celebrex to go back to him. you think i should stop going to the cairopractor for now, and just take the medecine and see what will happen?
Avatar n tn One of my main complaints with the fibro is the debilitating fatigue. I try to plan doing something on weekend, and by the time the weekend comes, it's all I can do to do the laundry and groc shopping. Then sit the rest of the day doing nothing. I am on Lyrica for nerve pain, just quit Celebrex. I don't know what the lorect is. But I have many other pills I take. For muscle spasms, rapid heart rate, low dose aspirin, Tramadol for pain, etc.
Avatar f tn twice a day for osteoarthritis. I have taken Celebrex for years, and about 5 months ago, it really stopped doing much. I wondered if any of you take or have taken Limbrel. How long does it take for full effect and can you take Motrin or Tylenol with it. My doc says that I can take the Motrin in between the Celebrex wearing off and the Limbrel taking hold. I just hope that this is the answer to some of my pain.
Avatar f tn Thanks, I have neck pain, stiffness and radiating pain to my arms, R- especially. HA’s and muscle dystopia in my neck. Celebrex and aspirin. Not together.
Avatar n tn Fosamax is safe for liver patients. Celebrex in the short term (for a couple of weeks) should not be harmful. However, it is not something he wants me on for any length of time.
Avatar f tn I am recovering from major abdominal surgery. I am taking Tramadol, which handles the pain ok. However I am having flair ups of occipital neuralgia headaches (nasty) I got when taking antidepressants. It made sense when I learned that Tramadol uses the same mechanism. Can't take nsaids because of an ulcer. Don't want Celebrex for same reason and leaky heart valves. Sigh. Is there a good alternative I could suggest. We are just talking about a couple of weeks probably.
370181 tn?1595629445 My mom who is also suffering from chronic pain due to a back injury she sustained from a bad fall eight years ago, was also prescribed Celebrex by a surgeon who is an expert in pain management. Well, my mom was on the Celebrex for only two days. She felt very ill on the Celebrex and went off the Celebrex by herself as it was making her symptoms worse. Yes, I've also heard that Celebrex has cardiac risks, didn't know about the g i bleeding.
Avatar n tn I have recently started having random joint pain, shoulder, wrist, hand, knee and have found that resting the joint in a splint or brace reallly helps. However, the latest pain is in my jaw - this happened last night. Anybody else had this?
Avatar f tn For the last 2-3 weeks I have been having awful headaches. My dentist thinks it might be TMJ, so she fitted me for a splint (which I get next week), but advised me to see an MD to rule out other possible causes, which I did. He does not believe it is TMJ because it is not concentrated around my jaw. Rather it hurts ALL over from my jaw, temples, sides of my head, forehead, neck, and sometimes shoulders. The MRI came back completely normal.
1275906 tn?1270946696 Welcome to our group. Finally getting a dx is a relief. I have been on Relefen ( NSAID) and now Celebrex for the pain and infammation for the past 10 yrs. but they are no longer working and It appears I will need to look into some type of maintainance dose of some type of pain reliever, not just an anti-inflammatory. Docs give everyone a hard time w those these days because unfortunately there are so many people out there abusing their docs for pain meds. I'll see how that goes.
Avatar n tn If not I would recommend you request further diagnostic tests in an attempt to uncover the reason for your pain. If your PCP is unwilling to investigate your pain it may be time to seek out another PCP. Remember that they do work for us. I suggest you have a long talk with your PCP and tell him/her your concerns and reiterate your pain. Best of luck to you. Please let us know how you are doing. I will be interested in hearing from you again on your progress.
Avatar f tn FROM my neck to my toes all of my bones are aching, does anyone have this or know what causes it? I have to take a 200mg Celebrex to get some relief. I don’t know if I should be taking it every day or just when I really have to go somewhere and can’t take the pain any longer.

Avatar f tn Hi everyone :) My Dad recently had a stroke, during which time they found occlusion in one of his legs, causing foot pain. He's currently on Oxycodone. But I'm looking for a better pain management option(s) for him. From what I've been able to ascertain, Vicodin, Celebrex, Darvo- or Percocet have seemed viable options. Can anyone share their opinions on this??? Thanks so much!
Avatar f tn Trying a new drug for pain... Celebrex. I was on Diamox but could not tolerate it as it caused severe kidney PAIN. So, my PCP wants me to try Celebrex (3 days on, 3 days off). Anyone have any experience/knowledge of this med and, if so, how did you fare with it?
Avatar dr m tn OMG! Thank u so much! You have described exactly the kind of pain I have along with OA in my shoulders, spine, and hips. I had an MRI and the diagnosis was DDD in T11 & T12 but was not a candidate for surgery. I have been taking percocet 10/650 3 times a day but it doesn't help with all the pain I have. Like u said it is very difficult to explain the different kinds of pain. I wake up with pain from the OA & I take a pill in the A.M at noon and 1 in the evening.
