Avatar m tn I think my back pain is due to my kidney problems but my leg pain is due to a heart cath the doctor said he had hit a nerve and that it would get better but its been a year and its gotten worse not better.
Avatar n tn I do take Celebrex for the rib pain these last month. I were diagnosed yesterday with Cotsochondritis but do not know if it can be something else. I did started treatment 2 years ago for the stomach - Nexium 4mg (five family members died of colocancer) I also have this strange pain in my hips down my legs - it starts and then after a while it feels better but then it feels tender over the vains and the muscles. Can this be my lower back.
Avatar m tn Has anyone used Celebrex for their Crohn's? I have severe joint point pain and I have been told that Celebrex is a huge help for this. I am wondering about side effects and medicine interactions.
Avatar f tn I have been prescibed Celebrex for osteoarthris pain. Can it be taken every day for long term management of arthritis.
Avatar f tn there is the socalled rebound pain after quitting, you will experience bouts of inreased pain but it does gets better so i will commend you for trying a new way without addictive painkillers to deal with your pain...You don't have to be a martyr either... you have talked to your doctor, he has given you a new medication, i would say, give it a try. yes, you might be a week or two miserable but the new med might work given the time needed...

17956761 tn?1461821678 My left ankle, knee, hip, and wrist were really cramping. He told me to stop the Celebrex. The pain subsided a little but my arm pain was back. Wednesday I was in the sun all day and then Thursday all hell broke loose. My arm started to REALLY hurt. I couldn't touch my skin, move my fingers, or even hold my phone in that hand. I also had what looked like a vein webbing on my arm. I went to the hospital and she said it was "too complex" for her to diagnose.

Avatar n tn I have taken Celebrex that helped the pain but had to stop because my kidney function BU/CU ratio is now elevated. I cannot take other NSAID's because they elevate my blood pressure. I have a history of chronic Lyme disease. I was treated two years ago with six weeks of Rocephin IV Therapy. Could the Lyme disease have settled in my my new knee post operatively? Any suggestions for some relief would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar f tn Stenosis and scoliosis in lumber spine and osteoarthritis in both hands. Apart from the intermittent leg/bone pain I still suffer from in the long bones (which leaves the muscles tired and painful and as if they are contracting), I had excrutiating finger pains for the first part of this year. I have been on celebrex and had cortizone injections, but still continue to suffer, especially with the bone pain.
Avatar m tn It is hard on your stomach but also can cause kidney issues. In talking to a nephorologist (msp? -kidney Dr.) she said that they have wanted that disclosure put on such meds. Every drug has something bad about it but one definetly has to try a pick the lesser evil. Talk to a pharmacist & then talk to your Dr. Take care!
Avatar dr m tn Before diving into another invasive procedure, I visited a pain management doctor. ONE of the many things we did was try Celebrex. Now I was very skeptical as it had done nothing prior to surgery. But once my spondy was fixed I though - let's try it again. I have to happily report that this NSAID really did work. So much so I was able to lay off the Vicodin and/or Norco as a supplement to "stay ahead of the pain".
Avatar n tn She is 64 but she also has osteoporosis and arthritis in her lower back. The back doctor just prescribed Celebrex, is this the safest drug for her? Also what should people with Hep C do to better care for their liver eventhough so far she seems to have a healthy liver. For the osteoporosis she is on Fosamax. She has been on it for several years. I am just afraid that too many potent drugs can be harmful for her liver.
370181 tn?1595629445 My mom who is also suffering from chronic pain due to a back injury she sustained from a bad fall eight years ago, was also prescribed Celebrex by a surgeon who is an expert in pain management. Well, my mom was on the Celebrex for only two days. She felt very ill on the Celebrex and went off the Celebrex by herself as it was making her symptoms worse. Yes, I've also heard that Celebrex has cardiac risks, didn't know about the g i bleeding.

Avatar f tn Incidentally, if you suspect a kidney problem (which you likely do since you came to a kidney forum), your pain pills should not be Motrin or Advil (ibuprofen) since ibuprofen can cause kidney damage. Tylenol is a better choice (but don't go overboard on it either). Good luck!
Avatar f tn Does anyone take celebrex?I started Prozak last week and they want me to take celebrex too. They say my liver can take it, (stage 2 fibrosis). But I am afraid of the NSAIDs in celebrex, any one else taking it? Oh, I am on Methadone too. I am having my first liver biopsy in the morning, so I will find out more about my liver. I am scared to death about it coz I have had so many problems lately.
Avatar f tn Regular doc says I need to take celebrex for arthritis pain. I know it is a NSAID so I am scared of it. He thinks it is not a problem with hep c, but he is not a Hep C doc. What is the scoop on it? Any one taking it with Hep C?
Avatar f tn My mother said that like 20 years ago she had a kidney infection and she was wondering if that could be it, but can a kidney infection induce swelling of one leg only? Please tell me anything you think it might be and what should i do?
Avatar f tn I did take Duloxetine previously for pain (adjunct to the Celebrex) and it did help, but my GP is skeptical that Gabapentin would help even if combined with Duloxetine. Does anyone else have Osteoarthritis and is unable to take NSAIDS and have you found a medication that works? Thanks in advance for your replies.
