Avatar m tn My chiropractor, I have neck and back issues, says that sometimes if you have a problem with neck pain it can connect with your shoulder. My husband actually has problems with his right shoulder and neck. He picked up something really heavy while helping his mom and dad at their house and threw out his shoulder. That was last year and he's still having problems with his right shoulder and neck. There is something called referred pain.
Avatar f tn I seeked help again from my GP who referred me to an Orthopaedic specialist. They carried out about 30 xrays of head/neck/pelvis/spine and hands. Findings: Stenosis and scoliosis in lumber spine and osteoarthritis in both hands. Apart from the intermittent leg/bone pain I still suffer from in the long bones (which leaves the muscles tired and painful and as if they are contracting), I had excrutiating finger pains for the first part of this year.
Avatar m tn I have the same problem with degenerative bones in lower back and bulging disks in neck so know how you feel, however, I am on day 5 of no hydros and yesterday my back hurt so bad I almost went to the emergency room. I had nothing to take so took a hot bath then put heating pad on it. Low and behold, today it felt better! Not like 100% better, still stiff and sore, but don't need pain killers better.
1415174 tn?1453243103 m riding in the car and I use one of those neck pillows when I drive. Depending on where your pain is a neck or a lumbar pillow would help to give your body support when you drive. I am also guessing that on the days that the pain is lower, you're doing more. Then the next day when the pain is worse, you rest. It's a vicious cycle as when you feel good you're active and it causes the pain to get worse so you have to rest and it gets better.
Avatar f tn I was on Mobic for a year or so and never had any issues besides stomach pain (which any NSAID's can cause) I get stomach pain with any NSAID's. Mobic wasn't really that affective for me but my insurance made me try practically every NSAID on the market before they would approve Celebrex. They denied Celebrex and even recommended a PPI (ulcer med) to take with the NSAID's because they didn't want to pay for Celebrex.
Avatar n tn I do take Celebrex for the rib pain these last month. I were diagnosed yesterday with Cotsochondritis but do not know if it can be something else. I did started treatment 2 years ago for the stomach - Nexium 4mg (five family members died of colocancer) I also have this strange pain in my hips down my legs - it starts and then after a while it feels better but then it feels tender over the vains and the muscles. Can this be my lower back.
Avatar m tn Has anyone used Celebrex for their Crohn's? I have severe joint point pain and I have been told that Celebrex is a huge help for this. I am wondering about side effects and medicine interactions.
Avatar f tn I have been prescibed Celebrex for osteoarthris pain. Can it be taken every day for long term management of arthritis.
531416 tn?1213145679 Hi Kimberly66, Check my post i just putted about Celebrex vs neuropathy cause as i understand you have use Celebrex in the past and its exactly my case and now i'm coping with neuropathy. I'm sure Celebrex is the cause of it. Good luck.

Avatar n tn I have recently started having random joint pain, shoulder, wrist, hand, knee and have found that resting the joint in a splint or brace reallly helps. However, the latest pain is in my jaw - this happened last night. Anybody else had this?
Avatar n tn Hi Sweetie, so sorry about your pain. Unfortunaltly, it varies from person to person. A cortisone injection is basicly a high dose injection of an antiinflammitory (as in advil). It is used to stop inflammation that puts pressure on the affected area. I had 3 cortisone shots in my neck and it didn't help at all. I had 2 herniated disks in my neck. Now, that doesnt mean it wont help you. You need to give it a couple of days. The injection site will be sore. How many injections did you Dr.
Avatar n tn One of my main complaints with the fibro is the debilitating fatigue. I try to plan doing something on weekend, and by the time the weekend comes, it's all I can do to do the laundry and groc shopping. Then sit the rest of the day doing nothing. I am on Lyrica for nerve pain, just quit Celebrex. I don't know what the lorect is. But I have many other pills I take. For muscle spasms, rapid heart rate, low dose aspirin, Tramadol for pain, etc.
Avatar f tn twice a day for osteoarthritis. I have taken Celebrex for years, and about 5 months ago, it really stopped doing much. I wondered if any of you take or have taken Limbrel. How long does it take for full effect and can you take Motrin or Tylenol with it. My doc says that I can take the Motrin in between the Celebrex wearing off and the Limbrel taking hold. I just hope that this is the answer to some of my pain.
Avatar n tn She is 64 but she also has osteoporosis and arthritis in her lower back. The back doctor just prescribed Celebrex, is this the safest drug for her? Also what should people with Hep C do to better care for their liver eventhough so far she seems to have a healthy liver. For the osteoporosis she is on Fosamax. She has been on it for several years. I am just afraid that too many potent drugs can be harmful for her liver.
Avatar f tn I am taking Tramadol, which handles the pain ok. However I am having flair ups of occipital neuralgia headaches (nasty) I got when taking antidepressants. It made sense when I learned that Tramadol uses the same mechanism. Can't take nsaids because of an ulcer. Don't want Celebrex for same reason and leaky heart valves. Sigh. Is there a good alternative I could suggest. We are just talking about a couple of weeks probably.
370181 tn?1595629445 My mom who is also suffering from chronic pain due to a back injury she sustained from a bad fall eight years ago, was also prescribed Celebrex by a surgeon who is an expert in pain management. Well, my mom was on the Celebrex for only two days. She felt very ill on the Celebrex and went off the Celebrex by herself as it was making her symptoms worse. Yes, I've also heard that Celebrex has cardiac risks, didn't know about the g i bleeding.
1275906 tn?1270946696 Welcome to our group. Finally getting a dx is a relief. I have been on Relefen ( NSAID) and now Celebrex for the pain and infammation for the past 10 yrs. but they are no longer working and It appears I will need to look into some type of maintainance dose of some type of pain reliever, not just an anti-inflammatory. Docs give everyone a hard time w those these days because unfortunately there are so many people out there abusing their docs for pain meds. I'll see how that goes.
Avatar n tn Hi Joy, I am so sorry to hear about your undiagnosed chest pain. Our members know how frustrating it can be to go without a diagnosis and how pain effects our daily life. I am glad you found us at the Pain Management Form of MedHelp. One condition that comes to mind is Costochondritis. It is a condition that causes chest pain due to inflammation of the cartilage and bones in the chest wall.
Avatar f tn FROM my neck to my toes all of my bones are aching, does anyone have this or know what causes it? I have to take a 200mg Celebrex to get some relief. I don’t know if I should be taking it every day or just when I really have to go somewhere and can’t take the pain any longer.
469428 tn?1207201619 I am trying accupuncture next week. Has anyone tried this for neck pain? I also read about drug withdrawal from the opiate's, use xanax during withdrawal it will ease the symptom's of withdrawal. any advice is appreciated!
Avatar f tn Trying a new drug for pain... Celebrex. I was on Diamox but could not tolerate it as it caused severe kidney PAIN. So, my PCP wants me to try Celebrex (3 days on, 3 days off). Anyone have any experience/knowledge of this med and, if so, how did you fare with it?
Avatar dr m tn Before diving into another invasive procedure, I visited a pain management doctor. ONE of the many things we did was try Celebrex. Now I was very skeptical as it had done nothing prior to surgery. But once my spondy was fixed I though - let's try it again. I have to happily report that this NSAID really did work. So much so I was able to lay off the Vicodin and/or Norco as a supplement to "stay ahead of the pain".
Avatar f tn Especially since these problems started and were originally diagnosed when I was 39? I was prescribed muscle relaxants and Celebrex. These help with pain, but I have developed an itchy, unremitting rash on my right shoulder and should probably stop taking meds to see if any of them are causing it? I tried glucosamine but the pain and cracking remained and sometimes my head hurts on the right side too. I also have Hashimoto’s (TPO antibodies over 1,000) take 75mcg Levoxyl per day. There is a 1.
Avatar f tn Does anyone take celebrex?I started Prozak last week and they want me to take celebrex too. They say my liver can take it, (stage 2 fibrosis). But I am afraid of the NSAIDs in celebrex, any one else taking it? Oh, I am on Methadone too. I am having my first liver biopsy in the morning, so I will find out more about my liver. I am scared to death about it coz I have had so many problems lately.
Avatar f tn Regular doc says I need to take celebrex for arthritis pain. I know it is a NSAID so I am scared of it. He thinks it is not a problem with hep c, but he is not a Hep C doc. What is the scoop on it? Any one taking it with Hep C?
