celebrex

Avatar n tn The diagnosis can only be reached after excluding more serious causes of chest pain that are related to the heart and lungs. It is completely curable and treatment involves conservative local care with careful use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications such as ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin) or naproxen (Aleve) as needed. Application of warm compresses may also help.If there is nor may relief even with medications, then steroid injections be needed.
Avatar f tn I still have many episodes of shortness of breath, only when walking long distance or up stairways and I had a strange episode of chest pain in May this year - that really is not comparable to heartburn, which is what everyone tells me. I had another suggestion from a colleague I work with, that it could be vascular related?? I have never smoked. I am now 38 years old. Your thoughts and guidance here would really be appreciated.
Avatar f tn So I went to my doc, he found a slightly swollen lymph node and ordered me some antibiotics (which I have finished taking) and celebrex (still taking). The pain has now changed, it feels more localized in my armpit now instead of upper chest above left breast. It is a radiating pain I feel when I have my arm in front of me like when I sit at my computer or drive. I have done minimal working out because I worried it would stress it out too much and apply heat presses occasionally.
Avatar m tn There is something called referred pain. In other words, the pain may originate in one area of your back and the pain radiates to another part of your back,. Both of us, my husband and I, go for regular adjustments with our chiropractor. Were you involved in a car accident of some kind? I ask this because you mention going to a physiotherapist. Are you aware that celebrex has been removed by some drug stores in Canada. Personally, I wouldn't take this drug.
5986700 tn?1380791380 start getting chest pains and had shortness of breath issues. I got the paperwork back out....and yep....there was a warning of" possible increased risk of serious adverse cardioovascular thrombotic events, myocardial infarction and stroke, which could be fatal." Granted.....it said an increase risk......and POSSIBLE. I was scheduled for a test where anesthesia was required after I'd been on Celebrex for 3 weeks.....
Avatar n tn Hi Joy, I am so sorry to hear about your undiagnosed chest pain. Our members know how frustrating it can be to go without a diagnosis and how pain effects our daily life. I am glad you found us at the Pain Management Form of MedHelp. One condition that comes to mind is Costochondritis. It is a condition that causes chest pain due to inflammation of the cartilage and bones in the chest wall.
Avatar m tn I don't think it should be an issue, I took Celebrex and Morphine for an extended time with no issue. Ask your doctor about any concerns though.
Avatar m tn Has anyone used Celebrex for their Crohn's? I have severe joint point pain and I have been told that Celebrex is a huge help for this. I am wondering about side effects and medicine interactions.
Avatar m tn I lift religiously and participate in lots of physical activities. I developed a pain in my chest (and sometimes shoulder blade/back) about two weeks ago which was most noticable when I inhaled deeply or sneezed. I went to my doctor and he gave me an ekg and everything was normal. I told him that I had recently taken up mixed martial arts and I had been training harder than usual to get into better shape. He said that I likely sprained a chest muscle based on his physical exam.
Avatar f tn Hey Hopey. I was just prescribed Celebrex too!! I'm very anxious to see how well it helps b/c i have constant back pain and have tried several meds that haven't given ANY relief. I started the Celebrex today, 600 mgs. And will take 400 mgs/day after today. The dr DID say it can take a few days to start feeling relief from it.
Avatar m tn I have been on methotrexate and celebrex for at least 15 years, probably long. I am currently in a tremendous amount of pain in my fingers, elbows, shoulders, left knee and left hip. Volteran gel has not helped at all and neither has Aleve. Can I take tramadol with these two drugs? I have recently switched my insurance and am waiting to get into a new rheumatologist.
Avatar f tn t really that affective for me but my insurance made me try practically every NSAID on the market before they would approve Celebrex. They denied Celebrex and even recommended a PPI (ulcer med) to take with the NSAID's because they didn't want to pay for Celebrex. After they denied me 4 or 5 times, they finally approved it. So now I take 400mg of Celebrex a day and it's a lot more effective than any other NSAID i've been on.
Avatar n tn Has anyone taken an NSIAD(like Ibuprofen or Celebrex) after being treated for GERD or H. Pylori infection? I recently injured my back and a Pain Management specialist said I could possible take Celebrex to help with the inflammation.
Avatar f tn I recovered, but continued to have persistent bouts of chest pain, arm pain, back pain, jaw pain, shoulder pain. The chest pain worsens on inspiration, leaning over, moving, lying flat, laughing, swallowing....I feel tired. I have tried Prednisone, Indocin, Colchicine, Ibuprofen, and Alieve. For pain I have tried hydrocodone, Fentanyl, and now am taking Lyrica. One year ago I had a complete pericardiectomy at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota (we live in Texas).
Avatar f tn During one of the ER visits the dr said I have costochondritis and prescribed celebrex and Percocet for the pain.
Avatar m tn Went back to GP and he said the results of the urinalysis and urine culture were normal but I told him about that the pain had since intensified. He did chest X-ray, abdominal X-ray, Tran rectal ultrasound, Digital Rectal Exam, PSA test suspecting it was prostatitis and while he waited for the results, he put me on a 10 day dose of Cipro. The results were normal for all tests with the exception of the testicular ultrasound and abdominal X-ray which showed moderate constipation.
Avatar n tn She is 64 but she also has osteoporosis and arthritis in her lower back. The back doctor just prescribed Celebrex, is this the safest drug for her? Also what should people with Hep C do to better care for their liver eventhough so far she seems to have a healthy liver. For the osteoporosis she is on Fosamax. She has been on it for several years. I am just afraid that too many potent drugs can be harmful for her liver.
370181 tn?1595629445 t know about the g i bleeding. My mom was very ill on Celebrex and she told the pain specialist/surgeon at a well known hospital that she no longer wanted to take the Celebrex and that it made her feel extremely ill. I've also heard, haven't been able to confirm this rumour , that Celebrex has been taken off some pharmacy shelves. Hope this post helps.

Avatar n tn Once your inflammation dissipates and you stop taking Celebrex everything should return to normal, that is, if you didn't have high morning glucose levels previously. IMHO.
Avatar f tn Trying a new drug for pain... Celebrex. I was on Diamox but could not tolerate it as it caused severe kidney PAIN. So, my PCP wants me to try Celebrex (3 days on, 3 days off). Anyone have any experience/knowledge of this med and, if so, how did you fare with it?
874521 tn?1424116797 ) of the hips and DDD disease of the lower spine. I have terrible leg and thigh pain and take gabapentin for the neuropathy..this helps some..some days more than others. Any thoughts?
Avatar f tn Does anyone take celebrex?I started Prozak last week and they want me to take celebrex too. They say my liver can take it, (stage 2 fibrosis). But I am afraid of the NSAIDs in celebrex, any one else taking it? Oh, I am on Methadone too. I am having my first liver biopsy in the morning, so I will find out more about my liver. I am scared to death about it coz I have had so many problems lately.
