Thank you for your reply. I have an appointment on Tuesday with an opthamologist but someone mentioned to me that it may be MRSA, since he's on the second antibiotic and it doesn't seem to be working. He had an ear infection about 5 weeks ago now and was given antibiotics for that. That is around the same time that he developed the styes. Do you think it's possible for it to be MRSA? Should I be seeing a doctor sooner than Tuesday? I appreaciate your advice.
I have had a strange pain in my left arm and leg for about a week now. I originally went to the Dr.'s last week due to an ear ache in my left ear. I was given Apo-Cefprozil - two days later my leg felt weird ( by the achilles tendant) -I shrugged this off as I have recently began running a lot. The next day my toes were tingling and the pain was also in my arm ( feels like carpal tunnel). My first thought was that my medication was too strong (500 mg twice a day).
It is not a UTI, herpes or and STD just had my physical 6 weeks ago. It has been painfull off and on for 6 months. The first Dr. prescribed cefprozil. It didn't do anything. The second Dr. gave me an antifungal with anti-iflammatory cream. It helps slightly but everything is still extremely swollen. I am worried it might be something more serious? I have no discharge. Could it be a yeast infection, can they cause severe pain and swelling?
I posted this originally in the HIV forum and was told it was No risk for HIV so I would like to see if the STD risk is likely.
I recently performed cunnilingus on a female whose health is unknown to me. A few days later I began to feel ill with sore throat, head ache, stomach ache. Is it possible that I was infected with an STD? If so, is there one that would be more common via oral sex? From what I have read it seems that gonorrhea (of the throat) is a possibility? what do you think?
Over the last five days I have developed a rash that runs from my eyelids to my lower cheeks, and appears again on my chin. On the first day I noticed itchiness I also noticed a small patch of dry skin. As the rash has become worse, my upper lip is now covered in crustrations, some of which are honey coloured. The rash has died down in itchiness but is swollen especially over my eyes.
I have been to over five doctors now and am waiting to see a dermatologist..
My dog was just diagnosed by our vet with atopic dermatitis as she has scabs on her ears and around one eye (scrape for mites was negative). She got an injection of vetlog and ampicillin and prescribed oral clavamox and chloropheniramine. I also bought her a soft E collar to keep her from scratching. A week later she is worse! Once back home I went to my doctor and he diagnosed an inner ear infection causing the dizziness and it would go away in time. However eleven months down the line it is still there. On a daily basis I feel lightheaded. This can vary from feeling slightly lightheaded and able to carry on with life to feeling dizzy and completely housebound. I have to be very careful not to over do things or it makes my condition worse (e.g I need a lie down after the hoovering).

I believe you just go in and they give you anti biotics safe for pregnancy.
For two years I have had itchy, dry, crusty inner ear problems. It itches very bad and is just inside the inner canal. White crusty flakes come out into my ear. The doctor gave me ear drops, but it seems to just make it drier. My wife has been putting monistat cream in there with a Q-tip which makes it feel better.
Do you know what medication I can use to permanently get rid of this? We live in a very low humidity area and it is very dry here.

I had a blocked ear last week. i asked my gp about it and he said he can see wax. so he gave me softner. but after 2 days my ear started to hurt ALOT. i went to the gp again and he sent me to see an ENT specialist. i didn't get to see one but i saw a doctor who said my ear canal is inflamed so he gave me antibiotics. I took them for 5 days and the pain got worse, and my jawline under the infected ear is swollen and it's hurting right underneath my ear in my neck etc.
I have had an ear infection for nearly a week now. I'm very tired as the pain in my ear is so bad i can't sleep at all. I've been to the doctor twice in one week and she put me on antibiotics and ear drops even a cream but they don't help. Even painkillers don't help with the pain. If anyone has any tips on getting to sleep i would be very grateful. It's really getting me down.
