was just diagnosed last wednesday with the flu, and then yesterday 5 days later was diagnosed with a sinus and ear infection. for the last couple of days i have had really bad vertigo wether I am standing or sitting, feels kinda like I am drunk all day long, and really spiking my anxiety. I was put on cefdinir but have not even been on it a full 24 hours yet. I was wondering two things.
Usually a course of clindamycin or Amoxillicin is prescribed for an oral infection but Cipro should work fine.
Unfortunately, the last time I had to use the albuterol treatments, my son was suspect of having an allergic reaction to the antibiotic that he was on (Cefdinir) for a bacterial infection in his middle ears (he had a rash on the inside of his legs and developed a chronic cough, which lead to severe asthma).
Now have a possible sinus infection and doctor gave me Cefdinir. Two days into the medication, my neuropathy symptoms have increased. The burning, needle like sensations and numbness. I do not want to go through that nightmare again. So I stopped taking the antibiotic and am waiting to hear from my doctor for an alternative drug. Is this considered an allergic reaction or a severe symptom. Anyway to know which antibiotics I can use and not have this reaction.
as i said it is an antibiotic so would kill bacteria to some degree but if you tested negative at 6 weeks you dont have it
For syphilis, you would expect a sore to occur at a site of infection within 3 weeks of exposure and then for a blood test to be positive by about 4 weeks after the exposure. If there is no sore that develops, the chance that the blood test would be positive is about zero. Further, the antibiotic you took would prevent syphilis. I would not worry about syphilis.

I've had a sore throat for about 3 weeks now. I originally went to the doctor with overall feeling of malaise, headache, fever, slight sore throat and abdominal pain. I was tested for strep and mono. Strep came back positive (Strep C) and negative for mono. I was prescribed amoxicillin and was feeling much better on day 3 until I developed a horrible yeast infection. I was then prescribed the one dose of fluconazole and the yeast infection was cleared.
I've been fighting a battle of diarrhea for the past four days with no end in sight.
Yesterday I went to the hospital because I began to experience sever dehydration.
I was also worried because three weeks prior to experiencing this diarrhea I had laparoscopic surgery to repair a very large hiadial hernia.

She had the typical amoxi, followed by augmentin, then finally ending about a week ago Cefdinir. After the 3rd visit I asked for a referral to an ENTas she gives no warning her ear is bothering her and we have now had two ruptured ear drums (same ear) with the other one on the verge of going.
Today we had the consult with the ENT. He said her ear drums are retracting so she has no pressure in the tubes.
Upon release from the hospital I was given a prescription for an anti-biotic, CEFDINIR generic for OMNICEF, 300MG. I came home from the hospital Thursday and the heart beating problem continued. On Saturday morning, I developed another problem. I shivered but was not cold. I stuttered really bad. I don't normally stutter. It really scared my husband.
The Home Health Nurse came out and could not explain it. I had not taken the anti-biotic Saturday morning.
I am really afraid and I was giving a antibiotic called Cefdinir to take for 7 days two times a day. I am really worried. s hospital where they treated him for pneumonia for 2 days then sent home to take Cefdinir for 12 days. Once the 12 days were over he once again started with the high fever and his cough never left. His doctor did x-rays once again and put him back on Cefdinir for 10 days. He ended up going back to Children's E.R. where they said he had decreased air movement in his lower left lobe and put him on Amox-Clav ES for 14 days. He is still running fever with a wet cough.
The Azithromycin did not clear the sinus infection so i was put on Cefdinir at 300 mg twice a day for one week. My hope was that if i had anything one of these two antibiotics would clear it up. Yesterday i went to doctor due to still having the burning after urination. I was given a pee test and then prescibed 10 days of Cipro 500 mg twice a day. I do not think they tested me for any stds but i was diagnosed with a UTI.
My dog was just diagnosed by our vet with atopic dermatitis as she has scabs on her ears and around one eye (scrape for mites was negative).
