ve had some pain in my upper left and right chest area at different times and not lasting long. The pain is not bad and it doesn't last long and it is usually accompanied with belching or gas.
I also have a history of asthma too.
Any idea of what might be causing this pain since initial test seem to rule out cardiac problems. No one in my family has a history of cardiac problems either.

Gastritis can cause pain in the upper abdomen after eating .Peptic ulcer disease causes upper left quadrant pain that usually begins 2 hours after a meal. It gets better with over the counter antacids. Stomach flu can cause indigestion and abdominal discomfort. Viral gastroenteritis can lead to nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea. The exact location of pain and other details will help in determining the accurate cause .Take light meals. Avoid spicy fried foods.
I am still having problems with the bloating and abdominal pain although it has lessened, and I have an appointment with another gastro for the end of June. However, do any of you have any idea what else could cause ulcers in my colon? I have read that Crohn's is commonly associated with ulcers in the terminal ileum, but wouldn't that have come up in the biopsy? Why would the doctor just blow it off like that?

t seem to be displaying the classic symptoms of gallblader problems (pain, bloating in the upper right quadrant (URQ) of your abdomen). This should be followed up with a gastric emptying exam to see if your digestion is being slowed somehow. The slowed digestion can explain the overproduction of acid: food's hanging out in your stomach too long and so the stomach keeps producing acid.
Mine were elevated which causes more acid in the stomach. As my parathyroid hormone came down, I felt SO much better. I stopped the PPI's and just take carafate when I go to sleep. I do still have GERD/Acid Reflux but under control. Check your calcium serum also.
Correct to check your pancreas and goldbladder. Blood test: Lipase & Amylase for pancreas. Check your stool color. Ask your doctor if you can have your stool analyzed.
When my allergies to dairy act up, my stomach gets bad but also i get a ton of mucus build up in my tubes and it causes pressure pain in my chest. My asthma inhaler usually helps remove it or if it doesn't have pressure, musinex does well.
You can also get it from being around chemicals a lot or by smoking.
After I eat the pain gets worse and I just tried to drink some juice and had an immediate increase in pain again. It is constant but gets worse any time I eat or drink anything. The pain does not seem serious but I am very uncomfortable and a bit concerned. Any one else had this if so what causes this and is there anyway to get relief?
I know your post is over 1 1/2 years old, but I thought I'd ask if you ever got your gall bladder checked out? Sometimes what seems like chronic stomach pain is caused by the gallbladder, which could have stones or it could be infected. If no stones show up in a scan, then a HIDA scan can show % of function. If the HIDA scan itself causes intense pain or if your % of function is below a threshold, they'll take it out.
Be warned, having your gall bladder out is not trivial!
