When the sugar levels in your blood are too high, the blood becomes abrasive to your body. If you eat all of your carbs all at once, your blood sugar will go higher than if you ration it out over the course of a day.

However when there is a list of items the total for the meal is not accurate and in some cases very far off. Therefore my tracker is not correct either. Is this possibly a bug?

Sugar feeds candida so whether it's a complex carb, a simple sugar, or fruit, you are feeding the yeast in your body. To keep it under control you need to limit sugar intake and make sure you are feeding the good flora in your body (probiotic).

It's supposed to be helpful in lowering blood sugars. Yes you'll be more hungry but just fill up on veggies and meat. Its really not that hard to manage once you get the hang of it.

(Turkey sandwich w an apple, oatmeal w a protein shake, grilled chicken w steamed broccoli and brown rice etc). Exercising for sure helps, it makes you hungry. Try to eat small meals throughout the day. I wouldn't just eat only when you're hungry. It will be hard at first but your body will adjust. It worked for me, I hope this helps.

An apple has only 80-90 calories, plus tons of nutrients and fiber, whereas the candy canes are pure sugar, which means you would be getting 120 *empty* calories, as are the other candies you mentioned. Or if you really "need" the peppermint flavor, have a cup of hot peppermint tea, sweetened with honey or stevia, instead. You have to do what is best for you; don't do it for anyone else.
