Can propranolol kill you

Common Questions and Answers about Can propranolol kill you

inderal

Avatar n tn I am unsure of the exact reason why, (it has something to do with blocking the beta receptos, why allowing unopposed alpha receptor activity from the cocaine) To be quite honest cocaine is extermely dangerous as you never know what it was cut with, it can have serious long term health effects (look at the rock stars of the 60s and 70s) and can kill you every time you use it. You need to find support from family and friends and get yourself into rehab.
Avatar f tn You will have memory issues the longer you wait to get back out and enjoy life (however that can be for you). You may not think there is a way but don't give up. You are still alive. If you are just waiting serenity to find you it has about .9 percent chance of happening (just guessing but likely close). Faith and medicine will help but often we have to take steps to assist. Good luck friend and I hope things get better for you soon.
Avatar m tn Can hemorrhoids kill you? I have one and it's causing me to bleed a lot from my rectum. But it stops after a few minutes. But every time I take a dump it makes it bleed again!

Avatar f tn Can u eat deli meats from the store In the deli if you pregnant just curious?
Avatar f tn Smoking can lead to increased blood pressure and propranolol can lower blood pressure. If you stop doing something that can raise your blood pressure, it stands to reason that propranolol minus smoking can lead to an even lower blood pressure. That in itself could be a reason to use caution while taking propranolol during smoking cessation.
4155003 tn?1351614311 Also, cocaine can cause healthy individuals with normal hearts to have heart attacks. Cocaine can kill you. Like somebody else mentioned, you also don't know what the cocaine was cut with, so who knows what other substances you would be putting in your body.
Avatar n tn Yes, they just want you to heat it up first to kill any Bacteria that might be on it. For instance, I now get my subs toasted at subway.
Avatar n tn If this is a concern, the would warrant a phone call to their doctor to discuss with them. If you live in the US, you can also contact poison control with this question.
Avatar f tn The diarrhea makes me just a teensy bit more suspicious of something like masto, which would go along with all of that happening despite you being lying down. Any way you can convince a doctor to do some thorough testing to rule out MCAD and mastocytosis? I can direct you to more info on those if you're not familiar with them. I know, I owe you some other articles too.
Avatar n tn ve been taking 10-40 mg at a time for inappropriate sinus tachycardia control (probably anxiety, but who knows). The propranolol seemed like a good choice since i also have headaches (kill 2 birds with 1 stone) but it seems to be having too much of a cerebral effect on me....
Avatar f tn And even if something worked on you in the past may not work today and vise-versa. You can definitely ask about it, it won't hurt. But, my suggestion is to just let your doctor how bad it is and let him/her choose what to give you next. Remember, treatment is a marathon, not a sprint.
Avatar f tn I've been taking Propranolol for high blood pressure and tachycardia(10mg at 8am, 2pm, and 8pm) for about 18 days now, and four days ago I woke up feeling quite dizzy. Since then it seemed to get better, but now I feel lethargic, dizzy, and generally unwell. Is it my drug? Note: I'm a 15-year-old male.
Avatar n tn Do you have access to a counselor that you can talk it through with? I assume you have been checked out by the doctor because you have a prescription for Valium...sorry for so many questions..just trying to learn a little more about your situation.
Avatar m tn I know it can scare you but keep in mind the amount of people taking the drug with no problems, far out weigh the ones with problems. I checked out the link you provided, and can see why you are scared....now I am too! I've been on it for many years with no problems, and it has great reviews. I know it can take 6 weeks for your body to adjust to it, so you need to be patient. I have benefitted greatly from taking it and know others who have also.
Avatar n tn Yes, ringing in the ears can happen with anxiety. Can you say what meds your Dr prescribed? Some are meant to work very fast and some take time. I've heard of many people having panic attacks while smoking marijuana. Did the first one happen when you were smoking it? If so, you can get in to a cycle of being afraid you'll have another one, and sometimes because of that fear you will have another one. I'm really glad to hear you have an appointment set up.
Avatar n tn Also, if you notice any changes in your blood pressure, pulse or other symptoms related to enhanced action of Propranolol, you can always adjust the dose to achieve the best possible outcome (again, with your psychiatrist's review). I hope that helps with the first part of your question. Sertraline can be taken any time of the day provided you take it the same time each day. Similarly, you can take Clonazepam at fixed time of the day.
1298588 tn?1330318981 but to do that you have to realize they are not going to kill you and are no way life threatening. If you can manage that, you take away their teeth and they quit being the life controlling monster that they were. I could have written your post myself some years ago. I let panic and OCD just about take over my life. Do not do that, get help now. A good therapist can help you so much. And you really could benefit by taking some meds for your anxiety. I am scared to death of new meds.
Avatar m tn trigger it or stimulate it on accident without going out of your way to rub it can it kill you? Like what if you have an itch on your neck right on the nerve and you rub it for a few seconds? Is it actually easy to danger yourself from this maneuver? Iv had a cardiology workup with tons of tests and apparently everything's fine.
Avatar m tn You didn't mention the age, but given what you said, and that you used the term 'girl' rather than woman, I'm assuming we are talking college age? I did some searching for you, and found a very helpful link about college drinking and alcohol poisoning: http://www.collegedrinkingprevention.gov/OtherAlcoholInformation/factsAboutAlcoholPoisoning.aspx Pay special attention to the symptoms.
