The usual period for healing is around 6-8 weeks, but lower leg fractures take a little more to recover. The initial one week period is also taken into account.
Follow up is advised every two weeks to see whether alignment is proper or not. In case of misalignment found at any point of treatment surgery might be necessary.

My wife broke her small toe yesterday and we went to the doctor for x-rays, treatment, etc...Currently her leg is cold to the touch, from the knee down, but very minor color change. I think it may be due to her leg being elevated but doesn't really seem too likely. Is this normal for a broken toe? Should we go to the emergency room or wait for our next appt on Monday?
so my docter did surgery one year later, he took the nail out of my leg and replaced it with a plate and and screws, during surgery he broke my fibula to get the plate in place. i dont no why he did it but my tibia feels alot better and now my fibula is broken, my question is has anyone ever had a corrective surgery on there tibia and had there fibula broken. And how long does it take for the fib to heal and am i screwed ? i dont know what to do.
I have not had a regular bowel ,movement in over 3 weeks. I have diahrea and even that hurts so much I cry. I am having shooting pains in my right leg. I can only stand for so llong w/out pain, and I can only sit o the doughnut for so long w/out pain. When I got my period it was hell. I felt pain moving from my sacrum to my front, was throwing up and miserable. lately, at night I get sick to my stomach and dry heave(which makes the back pain worse) and feel completly nausious.
I was in a half cast, basically on the back of my leg and below the foot for a touch over a week, so I was unable to move my ankle and leg and was on crutches. Then 2 days ago I went to the outpatients department and the doc took the cast off me and told me to start walking on it with the aid of crutches as it isn't the weight bearing bone.
He said that the bone will heal by itself without the cast and even with me putting a bit of pressure on it.
I got up from my seat and I must have stepped on one of its paws (or part of) because she made a sound and bit my leg. Now, I was wearing jeans and it was a quick bite, more like a nibble, no pain but stunned. Anyways, once I got back to my place I showered, cleaned my leg but found no bite mark... Except a tiny, pin-sized red spot that could very well be unconnected to the biting incident.
Now my question is: should I be worried about rabies?

The nose end of the vehicle landed on her right lower leg, crushing the Tibia and Fracturing the Fibula. She was Med-Flighted the 40+ miles to Huntsville Hospital for Women and Children in Alabama. Nobody has spoken to anyone. I am being treated "the rest of my life or until cured". There is no time frame. What if I had a broken leg? I'd surely need surgery for this. Sometimes, you can't put off surgeries. This one, thankfully, I can... so I'm still debating on whether it's needed or not and will be seeking 2nd and 3rd opinions.

I recollect also being advised that I had several transverse processes which were broken off (or perhaps just fractured). I had no specific treatment for this. In subsequent years, I have been subject to fairly serious lower back pain on a number of occassions. I understand that different muscles or ligaments attach to the processes.
If one or more processes were broken off, could this be a source of my back problems, and is it treatable.
I was run over by a car 10 months ago and suffered a broken left fibula in two places and tibula. I was treated for the broken leg and the bones have healed. However, I was never treated or examined for any other possible injuries. Upon getting hit my lower body from the waist down had gone completely numb but feeling returned within a few hours after the accident. I have been suffering from neuropathy in my feet, hands and knees along with phantom muscle and joint pain daily.

During the treatment, the file was broken and stuck in my jaw bone. The broken file went about 10 milimeters( more than 1/4 inch) beyond the root canal. The doctor cut my jaw bone and tried to remove the file, but failed. The doctor said the file was sucked by jaw bone, but I didn't agree. I think it was overdrilled and caused the file broken. Does anyone have idea what is the situation?

small hole in a side... i washed immediately and asked her if she was ok..of course she said yes no problem..
it was a vaginal insertion ..no blood and no visible laceration on my penis...
