My dog has allergy and now she developed a black/dark brown thick and rough crust just superficially attached to the skin. It's about 2cm diametre on the leg near the armpit. Can you determine that the leg isn't broken? Will he let you move the leg at the hip joint? If he isn't acting like he is in severe pain, will eat and drink. I would try keeping him quiet and only take him out to potty. You know your dog best so you would have to make a judgement call as to if he needs the Vet.
Last night we opened our backdoor to find a stray kitty (adolescent male). I noticed he was malnourished and gave him some milk and chicken (all I had for an animal). What kind of dog is your puppy and what size? Do the other's wrestle with him? Are they much larger? Have you seen him get hurt by the other dogs before?
Anything else? Is he limping? Has he pooped today? How bout yesterday? What did it look like? More info. would be helpful.....
