I was in a half cast, basically on the back of my leg and below the foot for a touch over a week, so I was unable to move my ankle and leg and was on crutches. my son had nenmonia which led to ostomialitus and a broken leg. this was all eighteen months ago. he is now 3 and a half years old but still walks with a very stiff leg and can not walk up and down stairs with out putting his hand on his knee to use as a support or for leaverage. he has recovered his muscle lost which happened due to his broken leg. Has anyone broken their Tibia and fibia? I broke mine two years ago and am still having problems. I have a plate and eleven screws. I am thinking of having them taken out in the hopes that it will releive some of the discomfort. Any information from someone who has done this would be great.

I would also try to straighten it out throughout the day by putting it in my left pant leg between my pants and my leg. Anyway... it still works fine now it just has a slight curvature to the left. My question is could there still be complications associated with the fracture or do you think I'm fine? Wow...five weeks. Every time I update about my clean time I say "I just can't believe I've made it this far"....and it's still true. It really IS hard to believe! I truly think this is going to work...which I have to say I'm pretty proud considering its the first time I've ever even tried to quit...in 10 years. Incredible length of time to take something such as methadone or Percocet, but I did and I'm here now...clean. :) Hoping for better days ahead.
