I also have severe neuropathy in my left foot my leg is very sensitive to touch to pants legs washing my leg putting shoes and socks on and get these shooting strong pain. I am taking lyrics and pain meds and also muscle relaxer and it doesn't seem to help. I have to be careful how I move or I would get a muscle spasms.
my son had nenmonia which led to ostomialitus and a broken leg. this was all eighteen months ago.

But on 6th of September while I was sitting on my chair and putting my leg on the table for some relaxation. I felt a pinch in my leg and then I cautiously checked the whole bench for any broken syringe needle. But couldn't find any. I just wanted to know that if it was a needle pinch can I get hiv like this. Only broken needle I mean to say the hollow metal needle only and nothing else. I didn't felt any pain after that pinch also.
I have now severe problems with breathing and my vocal chords are so inflammed I have difficulty even walking upstairs.
Two specialists have suggested that due to the surgery ( 6 hours) my vocal chords may be paralised but it is too early to tell at the moment.
If I stop breathing due to the closing of the chords I can be in serious trouble..
Has anybody been there and come through this???
Very worried, and scared at times.
I was in a half cast, basically on the back of my leg and below the foot for a touch over a week, so I was unable to move my ankle and leg and was on crutches. Then 2 days ago I went to the outpatients department and the doc took the cast off me and told me to start walking on it with the aid of crutches as it isn't the weight bearing bone.
He said that the bone will heal by itself without the cast and even with me putting a bit of pressure on it.

hi i am a very healthy 44 year old woman.but i developed this condition where my chest fills with mucus and i can't take a breathe.i don't have asthma or any other health problems.i went to the emeregency room and the doctor told me to cough up the mucus.thats hard to do when you can't breathe.i mean i literally cannot get air in my lungs until i gasp up to 20 seconds which feels like forever.
App 10 days ago ( a week after trach removal) I began o experience brathing problems and immediately went to my ENT here in my home town. He could not see below the voacl chords without re-trach and going in to view y windpipe. I immediately went to Atlanta (Emory) where the equipment was available to view below the chords without a trach. At that time the only findings were - granulation which was normal and to be expected) and swelling of tissue around the vocal chords.
