s my story , i had a broken tibia and fibula as well i was trying tio help a female from getting beaten by his boyfriend , it was slippery oitside my right leg went forward and my left leg went backwards and my big ***( lol ) landed on top of my ankle and distored my ankle and broke my tibia and fibula , i went to the hospital where i stayed two nights then on monday i had to go see the bone doctor at the other hosiptal and told me that your fracture was a bad one .

I was in a half cast, basically on the back of my leg and below the foot for a touch over a week, so I was unable to move my ankle and leg and was on crutches. Then 2 days ago I went to the outpatients department and the doc took the cast off me and told me to start walking on it with the aid of crutches as it isn't the weight bearing bone. He said that the bone will heal by itself without the cast and even with me putting a bit of pressure on it.

Has anyone broken their Tibia and fibia? I broke mine two years ago and am still having problems. I have a plate and eleven screws. I am thinking of having them taken out in the hopes that it will releive some of the discomfort. Any information from someone who has done this would be great.

But otehr form repairing the bone , you can try to put soem stainless steel support on the replace of the broken bone.It is a safe teqniqie as my uncle had this operation at 1992 on his broken leg femur and he is still ok andno one even knows he had a surgery.

Last night we opened our backdoor to find a stray kitty (adolescent male). I noticed he was malnourished and gave him some milk and chicken (all I had for an animal). Then I noticed he was favoring one leg. I think it might be broken! I've called a few places and no one wants to deal with him, of course. You do increase in discharge in the last few weeks. My underwear is always damp. If it's not soaking your undies or running down your leg it's probably just discharge. My OB said if it's your water leaking it will continue to leak consistently and you should soak your panties.

s leg makes this crunching feeling when you touch/move it, the vet also said she felt that but said it was not broken bones. If not broken bones then what is it? And how long should I expect it to take to be better? I know with humans it can be around 6-8 wks....is it the same with animals?

Can you determine that the leg isn't broken? Will he let you move the leg at the hip joint? If he isn't acting like he is in severe pain, will eat and drink. I would try keeping him quiet and only take him out to potty. You know your dog best so you would have to make a judgement call as to if he needs the Vet.

In 2019 bolt came out in right leg and lodged so I could straighten leg, needed a revision had it done. In July 2022 left leg started swelling bolt came out and floating around, had a revision in October 2022! Last Saturday woke up to go to the bathroom couldn't straighten leg couldn't walk very painful, the bolt came out AGAIN 6 months after it was done and the threads were stripped on the bolt and it broke into pieces. Had a revision last week got home yesterday 5/5/23.

well she really should see a Vet for xrays to determine if the hip is broken, if this heals wrong she may never get the use of the leg back but it could also be just badly bruised, perhaps some ligament damage(?) without an xray its hard for me to advise you. if its only muscle injury, it will heal itself. but if its broken than she will have lasting damage.

Hi ..right leg broken severly after 7 months no improvement in bone..

I have not had a regular bowel ,movement in over 3 weeks. I have diahrea and even that hurts so much I cry. I am having shooting pains in my right leg. I can only stand for so llong w/out pain, and I can only sit o the doughnut for so long w/out pain. When I got my period it was hell. I felt pain moving from my sacrum to my front, was throwing up and miserable. lately, at night I get sick to my stomach and dry heave(which makes the back pain worse) and feel completly nausious.
