Well, I just went through the exact same thing except it was 8 months, and I am 16. The only thing I can tell you, even though it is quite juvenile is to find reasons to hate that person or make you dislike them. Other than that I couldn't really find any other way of getting over them. Another thing you should do is try not to talk to them as much or even at all. Hope that helps.

it is always hard getting over your first love. Because this was your first love and heart-break you have not experienced moving on... You must be feeling like... you may never fall in love again, you miss her, how will you ever move on, etc... trust me, you will move on and get over it. you will fall in and out of love many times. Take the memories, and lessons learned and take it for what it is. It is only a matter of time.
