The pain was mainly right below my rib cage and on the lower left side. I also had some small bursts of pain by my heart and on the lower right side, where my large intestine starts. The pain would worsen when I ate and would practically go away when I passed a stool. And when I was hungry my stomach would start to tighten up. At first, the pain was severe (but only when I wanted to pass a stool), over the next week or so the severe pain went away.
With new pain under your left rib, have you noticed any bowel changes? Constipation, bloating, or diarrhea? Also have you been on a heavy course of antibiotics lately?
Did pregnancy tests, all negative. I had horrible bloating, cramping and pain on my left side near ovary. I have this every time period is due. I got my next period, which just finished yesterday. Have had the ovary pain for about 3-4 weeks now, almost feels like a stitch. Hurts when I push to go to toilet, and even hurts while walking, every time I take a step with left leg.
For the past 4 months I have experienced discomfort and bloating/swelling on my right side at the hip-bone area around to my front right side. Bloating usually starts mid-afternoon and is more obvious in the evening. Excessive bloating is gone upon awaking, but still swelling on right side that I notice. Mentioned discomfort to my primary 2 months ago, and he said all my blood work and urinalysis that had been run 4 weeks earlier were normal.
ve noticed when I got up today I heard bloating sound when I touched left side of my belly I could actually feel that bloating sensation. Did anyone ever had that kind of feeling. My amniotic fluid is also low & on Friday I'm going for ultrasound/ Dr visit to see if it got dangerously low, if yes I'll be induced. Please I need answers. Dr said I don't have to go to Er. Please ladies tell me something.
I have had joint pain and achiness on the left side of my body. My left hip is very achy and it moves down my leg into my knees and ankle. My left shoulder is very weak and I was undergoing PT for a problematic left shoulder a while ago. My left eye twitches. My left armpit is sore to the touch and I have dry patches on my left thumb. I have TMJ as well.
When I wake up in the morning, it feels as though I have been beaten with a bat for the past 6 hours.
Then with no warning, I woke up one weekend to a stabbing pain in the upper left side, just under the rib cage. I have been suffering with it ever since. Sometimes the stabbing pain goes away but I still experience the bloating/pressure. My family doctor had blood work & an abdominal ultra sound and all came out ok. Food doesn't seem to effect it, or sometimes I will get some pressure or pain a couple hours after eating.

I have this problem that occurs for approx 3 weeks every 3-4 months, and has been going on for the past 6 or so years. Essentially, as soon as I start eating, I have pain on the left side, and since it's immediate have to assume it's my stomach. It feels like my stomach is so full that it couldn't possibly take more food in, and yet, i've taken but a bite or two of my food.
for about a week before i found out, people were concerned thinking i was sexually active and prgnant because of massive bloating of my stomach...i was also on my period. i had sharp pains in my left side for a week...painful enough for me to scream everytime. they saw i had two masses on a normal ultrasound and then a catscan. now i am waiting for my surgery date.
you should seriously consider going to have a catscan and ultrasound done, before it could become dangerous to your health.
For the past few days I have this outrageous pain in my lower left side. It hurts so bad and after I eat I get all bloated and I am constipated and even have a hard time passing gas. Anybody know what it could be! I see the doctor tomorrow but I'm in so much pain and would love if someone knew of any home remedies?
I was diagnosed with a cyst on my right ovary about two months ago, however I have been experiencing much pain on the left side? I went to a OB/GYN and he believe its painful menstruation only...I have never had difficulty with my menses before and suddenly this has changed and they are now very painful. When pushing on my lower abdominal area I can feel a hardened vein-type shape almost parallel to my hip bone that is quite tender.
My main issue is belching, and gas that my stomach develops when I eat. I have a bloating issue on the left side of my abdomen (left to the naval) and a bit lower to the side. I am afraid that this could be divericula. Can ultrasound detect it? Can a physical examination detect it? I do not vomit. not do I have nausea, I do not have pain, nor do I have fever. I have a bowel movement every 2 days and sometimes every day depending on the amount of water I drink and the food I eat.
For the past 7 months, I've been having this constant bloating/gurgling on the left side only. The loud sloshing sound can be heard when pressed on or just breathing deeply. The discomfort feels like a knot of gas stuck in that area 24/7. I also have acid reflux, though not sure if it's related to the lower bloating issues. Upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, CT, gastric emptying were OK. None of the medications tried help much: bentyl, rifaximen, zoloft, probiotics, ibgard, miralax, etc.
the reason for the liver bx was because I had Hep-C from a blood transfunsion but the liver is on the other side as I was told that all that is on this side is my kidney and bowel. When pressing around the dr found the sensitive spot and said the bowel was irrated. DUH! I knew that I just need something to releif all this pain, pressure, bloating, constipation and gas. I get so sick that now I am not eating. I can hear the bowels gurgle but nothing.... Tired of this.
I am suffering from heavy bloating/stomach fullness even in empty stomach, sometimes back pain on left side and sometimes on left lower abdomen (both pain dont occurs sametime), and have blood in urine.
I was diagnosed with UTI and doctor gave me antibiotic for 7 days.
Please Suggest
1)bloating and back/abdomen pain is due to UTI or something else? and
2)Is infection spread to kidney as i am having left back pain but no fever?
I am prednisone dependent for 20 years (10 mg daily) After dinner I seem to get terribly bloated. No matter what I seem to eat I get this terrible movement that you can see and feel, it is like when you are pregnant and the baby is moving (this is the best way to explain it). Sometimes the pain is worse on the right, but then it moves left (I do have diviticulitis & hiatal hernia(no problem here I stay away from seeds and spicy foods). I do suffer from RA for over 20 years.
I can feel it all the time. I also complained about pain on the left side of side (upper ab area) so he had a lung xray to check to see if there was any damage to my diaphram (don't know where my doc got that idea but i never spent 8 yr extra in medical school) It came back fine. Complain again about the pian and told me to drink more water... I am not consiptate but my bowels have been a little funky...
