Avatar f tn t change your current workouts, but add that strength training--look up tutorials on youtube on squats, lunges, biceps curls, tricep kickbacks, back rows, (female) pushups, chest presses, planks, crunches, etc., and buy some resistance bands and two 8lb weights to start. Don't worry about getting bulky--it's pretty much impossible for women to get bulky from strength training, especially the older we get. Good luck with everything!

Avatar f tn I've been having problems with working out too. I'm 26 weeks with twins, I've been swimming but the last two times I had cramping for several hours afterward. I don't want to stop so I'm just going to take it way easier and listen to my body. Although last night in bed I did have very strong cramping that lasted about a minute and came on every 5 minutes about three times. I hope it's normal and my Dr doesn't tell me to stop working out all together.
Avatar f tn Hey! I recently started exercising at home because I do not have the time to go to a gym whatsoever. Luckily for me I found this girl on YouTube, Joanna Soh, and follow her video exercises. Check her channel out and tell me if it works for you ;) If you were enrolled in a gym and had your exercise routines, follow those and mix them up with some of hers, if not and you are just starting, I recommend to begin exercising 3 times a week and go from there with light cardio at first.
Avatar f tn I have been doing a low key workout which includes Ab work, lower back exercises, glute work and Kegel exercises. I have found some great videos on YouTube for 1st trimester workouts. Pilates and pre-natal Yoga come highly recommended.
Avatar m tn For a ab work out you can go to a trainer or just search on YouTube. Studies show that the best results for your toning is by changing the routine of your workout, so do a different ab video, everyday! Also for some people every other day of working out shows better results. That's up to you! For a diet there are certain foods like pine apple that supposedly take away blotting in the stomach. Hope I helped!

Avatar m tn A couple months ago (maybe late September 2010) I was playing badminton. After a game I sat down and someone pointed out that I had goosebumps on my arm. It was unusual, but I didn't think much of it. Once I got home I took off my shirt and noticed the bumps all over my body. I immediately took a warm shower and after I got out my skin appeared to be normal again. Ever since then I have failed to sweat on my body.
