coughing

435139 tn?1255460391 When my son was born they told me to feed him every 2-3 hours, and he would not be awake to feed, so I'd wake him. He never really ate when I woke him up, and I'll tell you what my mom told me...he'll wake up when he's hungry, he'll sleep when he's tired, and he'll be awake when he's not sleepy. For the first six months that's what he did...but he was good and slept through the night. I stopped worrying about how many hours it was since he last ate.
492921 tn?1321289896 I had csections previously and I SWEAR my bladder is not in the right spot - smack in the middle of my abdomen - when the baby is rolling around I have little leaks... had so many last night I was worried my water was leaking.... it is uncomfortable and embarassing and with my increased sense of smell I think I smell of pee.... I know I am being crazy - I know I do not smell - but I have a feeling it is only going to get worse in the weeks to come!!!
Avatar f tn Sure, you can eat that. The only thing I found when breast feeding was that spicy things or acid based things like spaghetti sauce caused the baby to have an upset tummy. So, I avoided that. I also stayed away from chocolate or any caffeine. But otherwise, a salad is a good choice. Add some chicken for protein!!
764229 tn?1322519884 The great thing is that you are passing the antibodies on to your baby by breast feeding. Your baby actually has a smaller chance of catching your illness because you are breast feeding!
Avatar n tn After feeding, try lying baby on your lap, face down pointing away from you (i.e.; with his head on your knee looking down, his tummy on your thigh, and his butt and feet at your waist. While holding him against your leg securely, lift your legs so he is sitting upright, then lower them again until he is flat. Do it a few times, while patting him on the back. If you can't do this so soon after pregnancy, ask your husband to. See if that brings on a burp.
873692 tn?1337275733 so i gave birth almost 6 weeks ago (it will be 6 weeks on sun 31) so i was wondering when you get your 1st af i bled for 4 weeks to the day (tmi i know )after the birth of my son and i was wondering when the 1st af will arrive i don't remember when i got my 1st af with my other kids it seems like i forgot everything with this past pregnancy any input would be great
Avatar f tn This happens in some dogs when they first wake up, the stomach is empty from not eating all night and there is a buildup of acid. You can try an experiment to see if this is what it is - try feeding your dog a small snack late at night or, if you wake up during the night, give her a cookie or two.
Avatar f tn It is very hot where I live. I was wondering if I take my baby outside after a feeding can cause a upset stomach? It seems like she spits up more when being out in the heat. She is 4.5 months old and has to take Zantac and Levison drops for GERD.
2515342 tn?1347080637 Is it okay to both formula and breastfeed your baby? When going out, while I am going to college or at the hospital after I have the baby I would rather formula feed but while I am at home I'd like to breastfeed as much as possible. Does or would this harm your baby?
Avatar f tn Like when you first start nursing, though that is short lived and its only because baby cluster feeds the first few days. Then when and if you get engorged, all you need to do is hop a hot shower and hand express. And then when baby teeths, you may get bitten. Over all though it is painless, enjoyable bonding time, and best for baby. I nursed all of my kids until they were 2years old.
486679 tn?1234575929 m not sure how much Micah gets when I nurse but he eats every 2 hrs sometimes 3. When I bottle feed, he eats 4oz and that is also every 2 hrs. I've been trying to spread out the feedings but he's ready to eat at the 2hr mark. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to spread his feedings out? He's 8 weeks and at his 5wk appointment he was 10 lbs 8oz. I'm sure he's at least 11 lbs now.

Avatar m tn In the meantime do not suck on her breast. It is NOT normal to lactate when not pregnant or when not breast feeding a baby after the milk ducts stop producing milk. Your are not allergic to milk if you drink normal milk and have no problem. Your wife could have a serious health issue. Make an urgent appointment to see a doctor or specialist as soon as possible. Let me know how things go. Best wishes.
4838207 tn?1363917730 I've had the same thing! I'm twelve weeks and I'm not sick at all, I just have a random cough. I was worried it was dangerous for the baby, but any research I've done says the baby is fine. I don't understand the cough, but as long as baby is alright, I guess I'll just put up with it and ask about it at my next ob appt. Sorry to not have an actual answer, but I hope it helps to know you're not alone!

Avatar f tn When did you start feeding your baby? My baby boy turned four months October 2nd, when should I start introducing baby food.
Avatar f tn Last night after feeding my son (8 1/2 months old) his dinner his lips turned purple. I did feed him pear/blueberry baby food along with apple/oats baby food. But he has had this quite often and this is the first time this happened. After cleaning his mouth with a babywipe his lips were still purple. The pink finally came back after about 45minutes to an hour. Then at lunch today I fed him prunes (which are brown) and pear/oat/vanilla and again his lips turned blue.
Avatar f tn I'm currently using halls for a sore throat I read the back doesn't say nothing about pregnant or breast feeding like other stuff do

Avatar f tn Add an additional 200 calories if you are breast feeding after the baby is born, total 2300 calories daily. This will keep you healthy and baby will grow for both pregnancy and breastfeeding. The recommendations for pregnant women are to avoid consuming alcohol drinks of any form (including wine, & beer), and caffeine drinks (drink non-caffeine coffee & teas).

1194973 tn?1385503904 I thought I'd update. Christy (the mom) was also hospitalized and they found out her liver enzymes (I think..having temporary memory lapse) are super high and she was having really bad chest pains. Both got released today though and are doing better. Abby (the baby) still has the URI and isn't feeding very well so they want to see her again in two days, and I'd imagine they'd look at Christy as well--didn't find out too much regarding her.
1083673 tn?1388888638 You start by pumping either right after a feeding, or pump the opposite side during a feeding. Then when you actually give a bottle, make sure to pump to keep your supply up. I introduced a bottle after about 3-4 weeks, then at 4-5 weeks we gave our son 3 bottles in one day for a few days to see how the adjustment would be for me going back to work.
