I am 52. When I laugh out loud I seem to have to catch my breat and cough. I dont or never have smoked. I dont have ins. so I cant do see a dr.
But this morning around 3 he woke up (which is odd because he has been sleeping through the night now for almost 2 months) coughing and crying. I got him up and changed him and he kept coughing so I held him upright and tried rocking him. That didn't help either. He has terrible congestion and it's obvious every time he breaths. Any ways to help soothe him???
Try to remember that that is the only way baby has to communicate his needs. Just try to meet his needs the best you can. Some babies just cry sometimes, too.
m not trying to scare you, but when I was at the hospital the nurse told me a lady was delivering and they had to use a vaccum to suction the baby out and when the baby was almost out it got stuck and they had to rush her in for a c-section. I'm sure they should be able to prevent something like that if you've had large babies before. Hope everything turns out good and you have your baby in your arms soon.
Completely. I was just telling another girl today that I'm 25 weeks and I'm getting more and more emotional every day. Especially if you've got a lot of alone time all your mind has to do is race. It's all the hormonal changes. The littlest things make me cry...sometimes even for absolutely no reason at all. You'll be fine though I think we all go through it.
Is oxygen stats were 96 when they r normaly 100. the docs did a exam and a culture from his nose for RSV. after a few hours they had us go home and I was told to keep fluids in him and fever down. I got a call an hour later saying he has RVS but he will be fine. Sunday came and my son still had fever and was drinking but not a lot. He was still coughing and sneezing and he did have wheezing. he wnet to bed that night and never woke up he died some time in the early morning.
But I found out with this baby at 3weeks so I'm scared after dying for a tooth ache n piping Tylenol I hope I haven't harmed my baby :'(
So my boyfriend's family keeps telling me that when my baby is crying I should just leave her alone and ignore her. They b*tch at me for taking care of her. What am I supposed to do huh let her scream?

Does coughing make the herniation of the cerebellar tonsils worse? I am have nasal congestion and the drainage is causing me to cough. It is causing me tremendous pain and I feel as if my head is about to burst. I am taking meds and cough drops in order to prevent spells however, they persist. Will this worsen the chiari symptoms and herniation? Thank you for any resoonses I am new to this diagnosis and forum.
Can crying hurt the baby?
Another day, nothing pressing is needed, you spend most of the day on the sofa, napping when the baby naps and nursing. Another day, a friend calls and wants to come over, and you ask her if she will read the directions on the bottle sterilizer because you just don't have the capacity to do it, and she does, and tells you what they say. It is not impossible. You don't mother like Mrs. Perfect Mother, you mother like you do.
Something that deep means there are other issues that have been building up to this. I suggest counseling because things will only get worse when baby arrives, even in perfectly "happy" stable marriages a new baby brings a lot of stress and arguments. The parents are sleep deprived, have to make a lot of big decisions, etc. You guys need to talk things through and figure out what's at the bottom of this.
My newborn is sick. He won't stop crying... he's stuffy, sneezing, coughing. Everyone in my house has it. What can I do for him? I've tried saline drops. He's been to doctor. It's not in his chest. Any tips???
