No family history of heart disease (except Dad passed away from cardiomyapthy, was determined to be a non-genetic virus that attacked his heart). I'm 30 years old, 5'11 195 lbs. I try to eat pretty healthy, lots of fruits and veggies. Exercise a few times a week. I've had the following tests done.

Avatar m tn You may have a tolerance for high blood sugar and a drop in the glucose can cause the hypoglycemia symptoms even though the numbers can be high. Have you try crystal light drinks?
Avatar f tn s have been abnormal. I found another Cardio who is suppose to be one of the best but now I am wondering. My symptoms are: SOB, feet, ankle and lower leg swelling, upper abdominal swelling (looks like I am ready to deliver) fatique, wheezing and coughing. At times I will get a spell of lightheadness and a fast heart rate at the same time. I have to hang onto things when this happen. The doctor said I must be having anxiety attacks. I do not think so.

Avatar m tn Hx: Hubby 47 has had HBP for 1 year? systolic(136-150) dyastoic(104 118). Heart rate high 90's or 100 - 110. Took Avapro o/d x 1 month July/08. Stress test after second appt. was okay. Cholesterol ok. BP still up. ie: dyastolic 108 - 118. Ht rate 100 - 120. Hubbies father has MI at age 51 died. Hubbies bro at 49 had a massage coronary and died. (2002). Family doc doesn't seem concerned. I think his heart rate is too high. His dyastolic pressure is still high.
Avatar f tn I am a Diabetic and on a lot of Medication, Novamix-Insilin,Avapro, Vytorin, Thyroxin,Zanidip, Nexium and Iron Tabs,Aspirin and gaviscon.I get so much painful itch in my whole body when I come out of shower, or I go out in the cold wind.
Avatar n tn I had been taking 150 mg of avapro for 10 years for high blood pressure. I recently lost 25 pounds and was able to maintain my blood pressure on 75 mg. in fact with a home machine my blood pressure is consistently low. It never goes above 106/70 and most often is 90-97/70-75. Would it be safe to stop taking the medication to see if I can keep the pressure from getting high? Or would it be safer to cut the pill in half and if so, for how long?
Avatar f tn Rash is mainly on left eye and one spot on cheek, small rash on right eye. I do sleep on left side. Other med is Avapro for HBP and I have been on that for 2 years. Thank you!
Avatar f tn I take avapro for blood pressure, immovane for sleep and now to quell the anxiety. I have frequent ophthalmic migraines (all sparkly lights, no pain) and have a pain migraine every two weeks or so. I can't get anyone to help me and with every week I am that much less functioning. Oh, I've also gained 40 lbs in six months; mostly belly fat. Please!! Any thoughts? Suggestions? Home remedies while I wait to get a doc to take me seriously?
Avatar f tn Another point is that if there isn’t marked collection of fluid in the body due to the heart failure, then lasix can also cause worsening of the symptoms. Maybe he needs another evaluation to decide about his drug dosage. I hope that helps. Please do keep me posted. Kind Regards.
1384238 tn?1286028762 Treated with 3 different meds (HCTZ, Avapro and Atenolol), suddenly, approximately 4 weeks ago I began getting dizzy spells quite frequently. My pressure during these spells is quite low, often 90/60 or a bit lower. The doc has done CT scan, no brain tumor, blood work, nothing remarkable, urinalysis, nada, she keeps throwing things like Lupus, Parkinson's, ALS at me and now I am terrified! Wouldn't the blood work eliminate some if not all of these diseases.
Avatar f tn After having had every test in the book, I was diagnosed with PACNS almost 3 years ago, and the course has been unremitting. The original presentation was headache (not thunderclap) loss of executive function and memory, visual disturbances, 7 strokes 9ischemic) and a drop of at least 40 !Q points on neuropsyche testing. I have tried both MTX and AZA, but both make me violently ill. I'm back to the CTX -150 mg/day,now, and it seems to be finally keeping the brain fog away.
Avatar n tn A year ago, my doctor gave me Lescol/Fluvastatin to take because I am a high risk for heart disease due to genetics and diabetes. At that time my Lipids were within normal range. After a month, ALT/AST results were very elevated. and medication was discontinued. Since then, I've gone through ultrasound, HiDa Scan and finally diagnose of fatty liver. The Gastroenterologist recommended Liver Biopsy to check for liver damage.

291222 tn?1210048328 My last echo showed an ef of 37. I have since been placed on Coreg, Avapro, Nitroquick, Lasix, Potassium, Imdur and Lisinapril. My angiogram was normal and as of today I have not had any heart attacks. I try to walk to improve my condition, but, I am usually too short of breath to take a shower. I had a pacemaker implanted when I was 26 because my heart rate was dropping to 21 bpm. I am very concerned that my days are numbered. What questions should I be asking my physician?
Avatar f tn Hi, Over the last couple of months I noticed that the veins on my hands, arms, legs and feet have become more prominent. It started with me noticing the veins on my palms and fingers appearing very blue sometimes (almost like they've been drawn with blue pen) and has progressed from my hand and feet up my legs and arms and I also see veins on my neck and around my eyes.
Avatar n tn I have high blood pressure, take three meds.( atenenol, avapro, monoxidil, and a statin) At least one med suggests that ankle swelling could result. An echocardigram awhile back suggested that my heart may be a bit sluggish as breath is expelled. I do not fatigue easily - people often comment on my activity level. I am trying to get used to a Cpap machine. I am 82 years old, but, again, they say I look like someone in my 60ies.
Avatar m tn m a 35 YO Male. I have slight hypertension which I take 150 mg of Avapro for. I also have GERD for which I take 40MG of Nexium. About a month ago I started feeling very spacey / dizzy. Not so much a vertigo like dizziness. It was more of a "drunk" feeling. I also would get hot flashes, cold chills, occasional sweating, and red face / ears. I also sometimes have "head pressure" where it feels like someone is pushing on the top of my head with 2 fingers.
Avatar n tn I hope that there is someone on this forum has had some experience with or treated someone with the same symptoms my wife has. I'm really frustrated trying to get her some help. Her local doctor has thrown in the towel,,,,he hasn't a clue. See the symptoms she has been experiencing since mid February, with the exception of a four or five week period in May-June when they just disappeared.. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Avatar n tn I do what I want in terms of exercise and activities, I take 5 mg of Bystolic and 150 mg Avapro with zero effects on my activity level. If your surgeon and cardio say have the surgery, I'd listen to them. Not sure who you have for a surgeron, I strongly suggest you go to someone who has done hundreds of these, not someone who does one now and then. I suggest Cleveland Clinic, or my surgeon Dr. Vincent Gaudiani (Sequoia CA), or Dr. Craig Miller at Stanford. Good luck.
Avatar f tn Both my sisters remaining living sisters are on Beta Blockers. I have been on angiotensin II receptor antagonist (Avapro or Benicar) for past 12 years. I did poorly on Beta Blocker and ACE inhibitors with marked facial and ankle edema. I also do poorly with any diuretic as my potassium gets very low.
Avatar f tn I was on avalide, toprol xl, procardia xl along with the norpace and had to take potassium because it would go too low for the norpace. I have not been able to take avalide since the episode and am now on Avapro which works bettermost of the time than using avalide. None of this makes sense to me or to my doctors since I should be back where this all began the middle of March when I took this antibiotic and had this episode.
