Avatar f tn I am taking Carvedilol and Avapro for blood pressure and Clonazepam and Keppra for the neurological conditions. I couldn't function without these meds, but still have episodes out if the blue. Then I need to rest for several days to regain my strength.
Avatar n tn Avapro, Benicar, and Diovan. Any suggestions as to which of those is most similar to Cozaar? Also, any suggestions on an equivalent dosage for any of them to match the results I get from 75mg/day of Cozaar?
Avatar n tn 40mg Benicar w/ 25mg HCT, and 20 mg Celexa in the morning, and the 20mg Benicar & 25mg Toprol XL in the evening, with Ativan "as needed." I'm 29 years old, not diabetic, and I had just lost 40lb's with diet and exercise (nothing crazy or weird, jogging and 1500 calories per day) when all this happened. This has nearly wrecked my life. Just curious if anyone has seen anything like this before?
Avatar f tn Both my sisters remaining living sisters are on Beta Blockers. I have been on angiotensin II receptor antagonist (Avapro or Benicar) for past 12 years. I did poorly on Beta Blocker and ACE inhibitors with marked facial and ankle edema. I also do poorly with any diuretic as my potassium gets very low.

Robert Menendez and Frank Lautenberg -- each had appealed to the FDA on ReGen's behalf, according to accounts last year from Rothman and spokesmen for the three others. In a statement Thursday, the FDA said it is taking steps to revoke Menaflex's approval, although it also plans to meet with the company to discuss what data would be needed to prove the device is actually safe and effective.
Avatar f tn I see you just started another thread and while it's usually best to keep all your questions in one thread so we don't keep asking for the same information from you, I'll go ahead and respond to this question, because it's one that's near and dear to my heart... lol I never had a weight issue in my entire life until 2008 when my thyroid started whacking out and I literally gained 30 lbs in less than 3 months... I nearly freaked out!!
179332 tn?1273250959 She then did a biopsy and found I had a drug reaction. The only meds I take are Benicar HCT and potassium. I immediately went of the Benicar and started taking a variety of other BP meds. At first they though I was allergic to the HCT, but then realized it was the Benicar. I am now on Bystolic, but still have the rash. I also take 80mg of Lasix per day. I still have the rash... but was told by the dermatologist it may take up to 6 months for the meds to get out of my system.

ARBs are used for controlling high blood pressure, treating heart failure, and preventing kidney failure in people with diabetes or high blood pressure. They may also prevent diabetes and reduce the risk of stroke in patients with high blood pressure and an enlarged heart. ARBs may also prevent the recurrence of atrial fibrillation.
21064 tn?1309312333 I am on Atenolol...and a healthy dose...50 mg in the morning..and 50 mg at night. I have read posts here where people really have trouble with it, but I just love it. It keeps my heartrate down---and (most...well...some..) of the time it helps with the palpitations. I had some dizziness when I first started taking it, but thats it. Not one other side effect. I was also on Lipitor a year ago...It really worked, and I had zero side effects from that. Hope this helps!
