Avatar n tn For about 22years now, I have had this chronic unyielding, head to toe itch with no rash. The only thing that helps is a daily antihistamine. There is no rash or real explanation on what the true trigger is. Doctors think it's in my head. I take a daily allergy pill and have for 22 years.

Avatar n tn I recently started using a new body wash, and after a couple of days 4-5 uses, I started to develop a rash all over my body which is accompanied by extreme itching. I've since stopped using the body wash and switched back to soap. I've also started using benadryll to relieve the itching. It's been a few days but the rash hasn't started to go away yet. How long does it usually take for the skin to clear up, and are there any other treatments for it?
Avatar f tn Here's one for the books. My daughter has had a allergic reaction to an oral antihistamine she took for what appeared to be hives just below the right side of her derriere. This little bout of hives were taking their time going away and so she thought by taking the antihistamine it would help the process.
Avatar m tn She has even gone into anaphylactic shock as a result of exercising and overheating. She can get hives all over her body. You may want to consider having a blood test for your vitamin D levels. My daughters was extremely low (wasn't measurable). She now takes prescription levels of a vitamin D supplement and must be in direct sun or tanning bed several times a week.

Avatar f tn I have been experiencing a full-body rash for months now. Comes and goes with no rhyme or reason. Very rarely does it itch and it is macular. Recently, it has been accompanied by redness and hot/burning sensations on my cheeks and hands. I am 23 year-old-female who has never experienced these symptoms before. I have attached a picture of my stomach with the rash. Any thoughts/opinions/help greatly appreciated.
Avatar n tn In the last 2 months my skin has produced this irritating red, swollen bumps all over my body. They cover my back, my neck, armpits, hands, arms, legs, and even buttocks. I have a history of eczema, but it only is targeted in certain areas of my body and I have medication for it, which has not helped the areas of my itchiness. It is not chicken pox because I had it when I was little. These bumps are incredibly itchy and no matter what cream, prescribed or not, soap, etc..they are not going away.
Avatar f tn Just to let anyone know I found out from the pharmacy today that taking certain OTC cold and flu pills especially the night time versions contain chlorpheniramine or antihistamine.. Which should not be combined with meds like xanax because they both contain an ingredient to make you relax and it can effect your breathing by relaxing you essentially too much...
Avatar n tn it starts anytime during the day and it can be on any part of body. it is increased after intercourse. whenever antiallergic medicine like citrazine is taken, relief for 2-3 days is given after which again problem repeats. taking anti allergic provides temporary relief and not cure. what to do ?
1418633 tn?1314546745 I hear it has helped others with severe treatment related itching. Hydroxyzine is an antihistamine and shouldn’t interfere with your HCV treatment. Others in here have used an over-the-counter product called ‘Gold Bond Triple Strength’ lotion with some success; although I don’t know if it’s available internationally or not. http://en.wikipedia.
Avatar m tn This is normal. It is just your body's reaction to extreme fluctuations in temperature. It can be especially itchy if your skin is dry or sensitive. Try to stay hydrated and keep your skin well moisturized.
Avatar m tn I have this strange red circular bump on the side of my body (Upper Lat, side of my right breast) and has grown to a diameter of 4 cm in just one night! I have never had anything like this, I was going to apply some fusidic acid/betamethasone but instead put some natural oils (tea tree oil) I have attached a picture, Appreciate your response Thank you !
Avatar n tn Hello, Itching all over the body can be found in allergies, viral infection, internal diseases like liver and kidney disorders, diabetes, iron deficiency anemia, irritation and allergic reactions to chemicals, wool, soaps, cosmetics and certain foods . You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps. For mild-moderate symptoms a weak steroid may be used, whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid.
Avatar m tn I am bit worried because i had a deep french kiss and fingering 6 to 7 years back with a lady.Three years back i had red rashes all over my body and it was treated .i am afraid whether this hives is due to ny std . Does any1 have an answer ??
Avatar n tn Hello, I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be sweat dermatitis, heat rash or hives. You can apply calamine lotion to the affected area. Oral antihistamine, such as Benadryl can also be used. You should take a comfortably cool bath and wear smooth-textured cotton clothing. You should choose mild soaps without dyes or perfumes and use a mild, unscented laundry detergent when washing clothes, towels and bedding.
