Common Questions and Answers about Antihistamine yoga

antihistamine

Avatar n tn Hi I am a fitness instructor teaching yoga and today during yoga my face and eylids swell up. A class member (also pharmacist) gave me a antihistamine and I went straight to the doctors. I was told it was an allergic reaction and given a perscription for antihistamine. I did expect to wake today and the swelling be gone but it isn't. My face feels tender to touch and is tingly.
Avatar n tn How long can i use antihistamine for my daughter aged 7 months to relieve her of the eczema itching.
666921 tn?1254990618 I personally don't take antihistamine but just some advice I read that - antihistamine suppresses the immune system - never thought about it before - they work like steroids - some very good advice on another forum was - do not take antihistamine if you have lyme I am sure some of you already knew this but just thought I would mention it
1310435 tn?1273598077 m taking Tofranil(orescription) to help with my chronic headaches AND insomnia. There is also a brand of antihistamine that helps with sleep, too. Your best bet, again, is to speak with your doctor. Good luck.
Avatar f tn not life or death type allergies, but sneezing, itchy nose and eyes, headaches. I take a one a day antihistamine to deal with it. .. but it says on the box not to take if pregnant. Im only 7 weeks, and have stopped taking them... but my allergies are horrible at the moment. All the sneezing is not helping with my morning sickness. During my last pregancey my symptoms actually went away but not this time... my question is can i take my antihistamine?
Avatar m tn I believe there are some natural remedies to sleeping problems. I would also suggest maybe doing relaxing yoga poses or moves to de-stress and calm down before bed. WHen my mind is racing, try and writeI down what I need to do the next day. It might keep your mind from racing. If nothing works i would contact your doctor and see what they say. Good luck!

Avatar n tn I do basic yoga asana (asana means that it is less cardio more posture and stretching) since the beginning of my pregnancy. I will be 35 weeks on Tuesday and it relieve my minor pains (hips, pelvic, lower back, buttocks and thighs). It also help to have a good posture and strengthen your core muscles for birth and baby position. It is great to take that time for you to relax. Sincerely, yoga is a revelation for me.

461838 tn?1255790216 I would ask your doc before taking med, including herbal med. There is a relatively new nonsteroidal nasal spray now (essentially an antihistamine). Try some of the non medication measures for the headaches: warm bath (really helps with sinus congestion), massage, stretching excercises, yoga. Wishing you well.
Avatar n tn What kind were you taking?
Avatar f tn t necessarily work for another, and holistic medicine involves the whole body, meaning exercise, meditation, acupuncture, yoga, breathing exercises, diet, herbs, vitamins, minerals, amino acids -- very complex. Now, if you're not on any medications, you can take anything; if you are on medication, you have to be more careful since many natural remedies can intensify medication.
Avatar f tn d have a migraine for days to weeks. I could barely function. I was so sick all the time. I tried everything hollistic from yoga, juicing, ice packs, soaking my feet in hot water with an ice pack on your head (suppossed to help with blood flow). Finally I tried a cup of coffee, tynenol, and benadryl. That didn't even work. So I got put on foricet which I took everyday cause the migraines were persistant. When I ran out I was all out of options until I asked my doc if I could take midol.
1900462 tn?1352775302 When did you guys start your prenatal yoga classes? Is it better to start your yoga as soon as you can so you can strengthen your pelvic muscles for labor later on or what? I was thinking it would be better to do it earlier and continue throughout the pregnancy but idk. What do you guys think?
Avatar f tn So I'm 30 weeks pregnant and have to find a new way to exercise. I I've in Wisconsin and the wind shield is already below ten. So it's too cold for me to be going on daily walks. Would yoga be a good alternative? Or what can I do as an alternative so I'm still getting my exercise.
