How long can i use antihistamine for my daughter aged 7 months to relieve her of the eczema itching.
She did culture the eye and prescribed two types of medication. One was an antihistamine eye drop (began with a P), the other mediciation to treat it if its the bacterial conjunctivitis is doxycycline.
When I went home, I researched doxycycline and was surprised to learn that it treats chlaymdia! I am almost positive I don't have this and am wondering why she would prescribe this. Can this treat other type of bacterial conjunctivitis?

not life or death type allergies, but sneezing, itchy nose and eyes, headaches. I take a one a day antihistamine to deal with it. .. but it says on the box not to take if pregnant. Im only 7 weeks, and have stopped taking them... but my allergies are horrible at the moment. All the sneezing is not helping with my morning sickness. However, your daughter may have experienced the temporary (20 minutes or so) of an ophthalmic migraine. The experience is called a scintillating actions. It may and often does occur without the headache. Migraine headaches usually occur insensitivity to light (photophobia.) They frequently run in family's and can occur early in life. If you do some research and discuss it with your doctor it may help. An ophthalmic migraine has very diagnostic characteristics. Good luck.
I went back to the same ophthalmic surgeon here in Houston who performed my Lasik in January 2009 when I noticed rapidly decreasing vision in my right eye. The surgeon and his head Optometrist in his practice were pushing for me to have surgery the following week in my right eye and utilize a Acrysof ReSTOR IOL. They were also adamant that I also have the Acrysof ReSTOR IOL implanted into my left eye a week later following the right eye surgery.
A month after cataract operation I got occlusion of ophthalmic artery with a loss of peripheral vision very close to central vision. No reason for this event was found. I am scared, because my vision on the eye is loosing contrast vision and I am not sure about the future. Only explanation of my ophthalmologist is the operation trauma and therefore the event will not happen again. Anyway I am scared of blindness, because my left eye was always worse than my right eye.
Hi all, for the past year i have been suffering from what i can only describe constant fuzzy light in my vision. I have had my eyes tested an they found nothing wrong at all. My doctor said it may be a ophthalmic migraine but its been a year now an it hasn't gone. It's not painful but it has started to worry me. my doctor said u have dry eyes and suggest me ..eyemist gel (hydroxypropyl Methycellulose (hypromellose) ophthalmic gel 0.3%) and artificial tears and for curing redness doctor suggest me Lotepred eye drop(Loteprednol Etabonate Ophthalmic Suspension--0.2%w/v sterile eye drop ) . and protect your eyes from direct Uv rays ..for which i have purchased a sun glasses.
I am really suffering . Kindly help me so that i will overcome from this problem.
Use the search feature here and look up "eye migraines and ophthalmic migraine" also TIA. Go to google IMAGES and type those words in to see what they look like
You need to see an eye MD as in some cases the prisms can be caused by disease of the eye, brain, heart or blood vessels. Given how infrequently yours occurs you are 95% plus have rare ophthalmic migraine.
Tell your MD and your Eye MD about these.

Floaters in the eye could be a normal finding or a sign of retinal detachment, ophthalmic migraine, a blow or fall on the head or due to some inflammation. In myopia or short sightedness, there is always an impending threat for retinal detachment at very high powers. If you sight is not good, then your number could have changed. Also there are chances you have developed glaucoma. Headaches are due to poor sight. Please consult an eye specialist for this ASAP.
In your case I feel it could be a case of ‘ocular migraines’ or ‘ophthalmic migraines’. These produce headaches along with visual symptoms ranging from static vision to temporary loss of vision. Please discuss this possibility with your doctor. Normally, ophthalmic migraines do not require treatment. But if these symptoms recur regularly then you may need medication to reduce the frequency and/or severity of attacks.

Basically it could be a problem in your eye, your heart, your brain or your blood vessels. In young people a common cause is Eye Migraines also called ophthalmic migraine. The older you are the less likely it is migraines.
you should see a Ophthalmologist Eye MD and a personal physician (FP, GP, Internist).
You need to work through the causes. You can use the search feature and read previous posts. You can use Google IMAGES and google ophthalmic migraine.
