Avatar f tn I thought that would have fixed my halitosis but it did not. I have used all kinds of different mouthwashes and toothpastes and dental flosses. I have to use non-alcholic mouthwashes because listerine dries out my mouth and I have even rinsed out with water after using listerine so my mouth does not dry out. I have been suffering from my halitosis for many years and I can not figure out why? My next step is to go to the ENT doctor. Any suggestions or recommendations?
Avatar n tn What kind were you taking?
4461129 tn?1354930630 Maybe try taking some kind of antihistamine; it looks like an allergic reaction to me. If it doesn't go away after that, maybe it's some kind of fungal infection or something.

Avatar n tn I have been told by the doctors that this area is very dry, and I need to put a lot of cream, and wash the area as many times as I can, because the sweat makes the itch worse. I have tried all kinds of creams and ointments. The only one that helps temporally is BETACORTEN - but I was told by my doctor not to use it too much because it is not good to use it very after.

Avatar m tn The drug could be used in all kinds of hepatitis C patients, Liang said, and could help prevent re-infection in patients who undergo liver transplantation. The research is early, and a number of challenges remain, however. For one thing, "we would have to use the currently accepted dosing for any clinical trial, because the drug at high doses may have significant side effects, such as drowsiness," Liang said.

Avatar f tn Over the past 5years, i have been suffering with itches on the right side of face. It feels like crawly worms. I've been to a dermatologist and tried all kinds of creams but the itching continues. Sometimes it is unbearble. It is often triggered in any condition, during the day or night. As a result pimple like bumps appear and my face looks less than attractive as it used to be.
612551 tn?1450022175 I had prior to the vet visit above been given Wilson one half Benedryl 25 mg Antihistamine morning and evening, in the hope it would clear up the paw problem. A couple weeks of this did not produce any improvement. I then checked and saw recommendations to use 1 - 2 mg per pound. As Wilson is j20+ pounds my does level was low. I have decided to continue giving him Benadryl but now one 25 mg capsule morning and night. Hope it keeps his paws and general itch problems under control.
Avatar f tn Here's one for the books. My daughter has had a allergic reaction to an oral antihistamine she took for what appeared to be hives just below the right side of her derriere. This little bout of hives were taking their time going away and so she thought by taking the antihistamine it would help the process.

Avatar n tn The immune system usually responds only to certain kinds of chemicals, namely proteins. However, non-proteins can trigger the same sort of response, probably by altering a protein to make it look like a target. Physical allergy refers to reactions in which a protein is not the initial inciting agent. Cold can change certain proteins in the blood so that they induce an immune reaction.
Avatar m tn i think the problem is perspiration, all kinds of ugly interactions happen down there so try not to sit cross legged too long and keep it clean and dry, no scratching. any other sugestions? This discussion is related to Red, itchy scrotum.
Avatar f tn You can apply an anti-itch cream or lotion to the affected area. Oral antihistamine, such as Benadryl can also be used. You should take a comfortably cool bath and wear smooth-textured cotton clothing. If the symptoms persist then it will be better to consult a dermatologist. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor.
Avatar f tn and she prescribed a stronger inhaler which is diskus (which i was not able to buy) and also she gave me antihistamine for my clogged nose and also prescribed a mucolytic. after taking the pred for 5 days my breathing got better my cough was better my phlegm was just plain white thick phlegm it's the best i have ever felt for the last 4 weeks. so i went through finishing the rest of my med which are montelukast, doxofylline, antihistamine, and mucolitic.
Avatar n tn Veramystâ„¢ (fluticasone furoate) is a nasal inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) and, strictly speaking, not an antihistamine. As an anti-inflammatory medicine, however, has the potential to reduce histamine mediated inflammation, in a non-specific fashion. That it is not an antihistamine is evident by the very many studies of combination therapy, the combination of fluticasone with an histamine 2 (H2) blocker non-sedating antihistamine.
