Avatar n tn I was diagnosed with reactive arthritis at age of 17. Today I am 32, and some months ago I adopted a cat from the streets. When he started sleeping in my room, I had to triple my anti-inflammatory dose for some reason. As if that wasn't strange enough, after I took an antihistamine to control my allergy to the cat, when I woke up the next day my pain was DRASTICALLY increased. It was almost like I didn't take any anti-inflammatory at all.

You can go to the company website and ask and they should be able to answer the question; the company is owned by two of the foremost herbalists in the world.

Avatar f tn not life or death type allergies, but sneezing, itchy nose and eyes, headaches. I take a one a day antihistamine to deal with it. .. but it says on the box not to take if pregnant. Im only 7 weeks, and have stopped taking them... but my allergies are horrible at the moment. All the sneezing is not helping with my morning sickness. During my last pregancey my symptoms actually went away but not this time... my question is can i take my antihistamine?
Avatar f tn You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps. For mild-moderate symptoms a weak steroid may be used, whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid. But they are available under prescription and should be taken only after consulting a dermatologist. Symptoms can be exacerbated by dryness of the skin.
1517808 tn?1290813790 these drugs only aid in the itching part of this. my joints constantly ache feet, knees etc.. some days its hard to walk and makes my job very difficult. i have heard of a medication called Kynatomine which is used for treatement of the liver, but heard good things about it in the treatment for hives. if anybody has any info on this or other treatments that worked for them it would be greatly appreciated. thank you.

She has been taking claritan D and benedryl but that helps only a little. Yesterday she went to the ER and they gave her an IV with an antihistamine and anti inflammatory corticosteroid with 2 days worth of the same in pill form.

612551 tn?1450022175 I had prior to the vet visit above been given Wilson one half Benedryl 25 mg Antihistamine morning and evening, in the hope it would clear up the paw problem. A couple weeks of this did not produce any improvement. I then checked and saw recommendations to use 1 - 2 mg per pound. As Wilson is j20+ pounds my does level was low. Avatar n tn Veramystâ„¢ (fluticasone furoate) is a nasal inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) and, strictly speaking, not an antihistamine. As an anti-inflammatory medicine, however, has the potential to reduce histamine mediated inflammation, in a non-specific fashion. That it is not an antihistamine is evident by the very many studies of combination therapy, the combination of fluticasone with an histamine 2 (H2) blocker non-sedating antihistamine.

Avatar f tn Ever since, I would get a few clustered around the joints on that side on both fingers which stay for only about a week before they go away and new ones come up. Sometimes they would itch a little or hurt when I apply pressure to them, and sometimes they don't even feel like they're there. At first I thought it was a bug bite but it has been re-occuring in the same specific areas and nowhere else.

Avatar m tn Hi, I'm 25 and for a long time now, a few of my joints pop and crack often when moving, notably the shoulders, knees, wrists and ankles. These cracks don't hurt but are very annoying. I've started taking Cod Liver Oil supplements as I was told they help joint problems. Will this help? The other joint crack is in my thumbs. Most notable my right thumb. I've been playing guitar for 12 years and I have until now put it down to some sort of RSI.
Avatar f tn Has anyone else ever noticed that the joints which are most sore itch deep inside? I first noticed it in my hands, that a joint would seem itchy, but scratching didn't help. After a while I realized that it was a precursor to, or concurrent to my joints being inflamed. Just wondering how common this is, and if anyone knows the name for it. Also, out of curiosity, if you have experienced this, what autoimmune disease do you have.
