Avatar m tn Have this evaluated further by your doctor for proper management. Your medical history and physical examination will help. It is important that you avoid what causes these symptoms. Over-the-counter antihistamine and decongestant medications may also help. Take care and best regards.
Avatar f tn I had heard such things can be expected after quitting, but to be on the safe side, saw a doctor who confirmed post-nasal drip, said my chest sounded clear and that it was probably allergy-related, and suggested I try taking an antihistamine. Also to be on the safe side, ordered a chest x-ray which came back negative.
Avatar n tn Hi, If you have a personal history of allergies, this is more likely. The rash usually resolves after the irritant or allergen is removed. Cold packs, Benadryl and other antihistamine medications may help relieve the symptoms. However, if it persists, have this evaluated by your dermatologist for proper management and to rule out other causes. Take care and keep us posted.

Avatar n tn I am going to try a high UVA sunblock and I think I read that taking an antihistamine before going out might help. I know that you cannot offer me a definitive diagnosis, but why would I suddenly develop a sun sensitivity?
Avatar m tn I am a 21 yr. old male and have a history of hemorrhoids. I had the banding procedure done about 6-8 months ago. I went to see a general surgeon 2 weeks ago because I was having rectal pain, discomfort and itching again. He told me I have pruritus ani. I was wondering if i shouldask to have an anoscopy done when I return to see him for a follow-up in two weeks? I would rather have an anoscopy done before him telling me to have a colonoscopy done. Thanks! .
