How long can i use antihistamine for my daughter aged 7 months to relieve her of the eczema itching.
not life or death type allergies, but sneezing, itchy nose and eyes, headaches. I take a one a day antihistamine to deal with it. .. but it says on the box not to take if pregnant. Im only 7 weeks, and have stopped taking them... but my allergies are horrible at the moment. All the sneezing is not helping with my morning sickness. During my last pregancey my symptoms actually went away but not this time... my question is can i take my antihistamine?

I have been treated for a vaginal group B strep and a yeast infection in the past year but currently am having no problems. Could he be allergic to me? We are out of ideas.
- the symptoms improve from the drugs, but which drugs? The antibiotics or the antihistamine? The improvement *tends* to say that your problem is not Wegener's.
- the phlegm from years ago also tends against Wegener's, I think. Wegener's is a disease of blood vessels, not lung tissue. So why the phlegm? Maybe you have lung inflammation but no infection. So that could explain why the antihistamine might help. Did you ever take strong antihistamines without antibiotics?
I have small red blister type bumps that appear in small group on both lower arms. When I itch the bumps, they bleed slightly and eventually scab over before disappearing in a few days. I've tried hydrocortisone cream and other lotions but nothing works. I know it's not scabies.
Any help?
m also going for CBT (cognetive behavior therapy) for my anxiety and am going to my first group support meeting this friday. Has anyone had recent experience with generic Remeron? Don't know what to expect for sure but the SSRI side effects were miserable. Thx again, Thom.
Hello, Older age group and itching has one important factor to recon with. Dry skin it is and the condition by name Asteatotic eczema.Oatmeal baths, and emollients like glycerine applied externally is the solution.
Surely one needs to rule out hepatic,renal and blood disorders if there are any redflag symptoms for these conditions, and look out for conditions like diabetes,or malignancy.

Here's one for the books. My daughter has had a allergic reaction to an oral antihistamine she took for what appeared to be hives just below the right side of her derriere. This little bout of hives were taking their time going away and so she thought by taking the antihistamine it would help the process.
Hi, my dermatologist has prescribed me a antihistamine for my itching and wants me to use it for 4-6 weeks. The med is called hydroxzine. I am concerned because i never heard of anyone using antihistamine for that long. Will this severly affect my liver? Please help!

I was in the hospital this weekend and when released was prescribed promethozine. I took it for a day then the following day I noticed my neck was really itchy. This morning I noticed I broke out in what almost looks like a rash. It's a group of little bumps on my neck that are extremely itchy and very irritating. I stopped using the medication after 2 doses. I was wondering if this could be an allergic reaction. Please help!

We have taken her off both medications, and might just give her an antihistamine if she begins to itch too much. The Vet also prescribed Enalapril because her blood pressure has been sky high related to the declining kidney function.
So, now we are looking for another solution with her diet. All of the prescribed foods for kidney issues have gluten or wheat, so we can’t give her any of those. She was miserable before we cut wheat from her diet. We are willing to do whatever it takes!
Do not mix antihistamines though such as an oral antihistamine and spray. Ocean Spray does not have an antihistamine and will simply dry you out and is safe to use with an antihistamine.
