Avatar m tn I would just tan. For the last 15 years I have become increasingly prone to sunburn and have now become more likely to sunburn than my very pale-skinned wife. My father had the same skin tone and he never developed this sensitivity. I do take a number of supplements including Centrum, CoQ10, hyaluronic acid, fish oil, an aspirin and Lipitor. Only Lipitor has been long term and that does not appear to increase sunburn sensitivity (though rashes are possible).
Avatar f tn I believe it started maybe 6 months ago. It was a tiny cluster of 4 or 5 blister looking spots little bigger than a pen tip. Thought it was from work and elastic gloves grinding in my wrist. Shortly after it grew to red and about 1" down and covered left to right. It then moved to both wrists. After maybe a month of trying to not agrivate it at work it started to go away. Then it blew up covering both my inner forearms. With either small red spots or raise red blotches all over.

Avatar n tn How long can i use antihistamine for my daughter aged 7 months to relieve her of the eczema itching.
Avatar n tn What medications were given to you? Do you have history of allergies? Antihistamine medications and ice packs may help with the itching. If it persists, it would be best to see your doctor for further evaluation of the rash. Take care and keep us posted.
Avatar n tn The skin on both of my hands is peeling. I've never had this happen to me before. I did not get sunburn, I haven't used any new soaps or taken any new medications or anything like that, and I can't figure out what could be causing it. I always use lotion on my hands several times a day.
Avatar f tn I went to the beach the other day, and had gotten a very bad sunburn (in the outline of my two-piece bathing suit-oops) and two days later, I woke up with a rash in the areas of my body which were not burnt, which include under my chin, around my chest (where my bathing suit covered) and also behind my knees. It is speckled, and has become very itchy and is spreading as the day goes on. What is it, and how do I make it go away!? HELP!
Avatar m tn ve tried cold and hot showers, aloe Vera, wet washcloths, baths, every remedy i could find for a sunburn and all of them just agitated it more. i cant hold still for more than 3 seconds and it is driving me absolutely insane, i have broken many bones in my past and i would gladly break them again to get some medication for this pain. so what exactly is going on with my sunburn and what can i do to fix it? this is my last resort before i go to the hospital.
Avatar m tn I have the same problem, except my burn was from the sun. It did not peel because I kept putting on a first aid treatment for sunburn. It is on my lower leg and won't go away. I have never had this problem before. I would also like to know what this is.
Avatar n tn I have had a rash on the top of my feet for about 4 months now and have been to the doctor multiple times. The rash itches, is a sunburn color of red, has made my skin dry and cracked, and does not spread. I have used athlete foot creams, Ertaczo (sertaconazole nitrate cream, %), and Clobetasol Propionate USP, .05%. I have tried wearing different shoes rule out being allergic to my shoes as well. I don't know what else to try. Please help.

Avatar n tn s really hard to argue with the pediatricians, since his body can be fighting a virus without having any other symptoms. For over four years, these rashes showed primarily on his chest, back, belly and shoulders, and only occasionally on his buttocks, legs or arms. They were harmless and generally passed quickly. Sometimes they were raised whitish bumps, sometimes they were flat pink spots and still other times they were raised pink bumps. Until earlier this year.
Avatar n tn i showed a fried of mine he said it could be problem, cos before i had bad bad sunburn on my shoulder and chest and they would bleed and some wart from the burn but this was 6 year before. and these just started. i would say progression rate is about little bit every month. i add photo i hope you can help me.
Avatar f tn Since then I have avoided taking any antihistmaines except for Benadryl. I did take an occasional Claritin but it seems like every time I did anything I break out more. My allergist told me to try Claritin tabs instead of gel caps but I took one after having my allergy shot and I broke out in hives again. Now all the pollen is out and my eyes are really itchy and red and I have a hard time seeing at work. I tried taking Atarax last night to see if that would help more than Benadryl.
Avatar f tn not life or death type allergies, but sneezing, itchy nose and eyes, headaches. I take a one a day antihistamine to deal with it. .. but it says on the box not to take if pregnant. Im only 7 weeks, and have stopped taking them... but my allergies are horrible at the moment. All the sneezing is not helping with my morning sickness. During my last pregancey my symptoms actually went away but not this time... my question is can i take my antihistamine?
Avatar n tn After an hour indoors, it would cool down and be normal again. I dont think its sunburn. This occurs only in the morning and aftenoon, but at night-time when its cooler I'm completely fine. I went and did some tests with allergy specialists, and turns out i was allergic to grass, pollen, dust..
