Well on my upper lip not my lip but my upper lip i got raw flaky red skin i had it for about 7 months now,
I tried everything too heal it and it seems like nothing works?
Even topical gel,When i take a shower it gets dry real fast.
All i can do is use moisturizer too help it.
When my skin heals it cracks and falls off,
It does the same routine every time for the past 7 months.
I want it too heal real bad please help me!
I have been using Carmex for a wile now. Nothing happend until I bought a new lip gloss. I had this lip gloss for about a month now and yesterday when I put it on my lips started to feel tingly. I knew they were getting swollen and when I looked in the mirror they were a little swolen. You couldnt really notice it thou. Now I feel these little bumps on the edges of my top and bottom lip. They are very annoying and Im not sure what it is. I was hoping you guys would help.
Have you taken oral antiallergic or antihistamine medications for your symptoms? Take loratadine or cetrizine , it will help the lip swelling to subside.
You could talk to your doctor/ allergy specialist about the symptoms that you are having and after a clinical examination he/she would be able to tell you whether this is an allergic reaction to the drugs.

A couple of months ago I woke up with half an incredibly fat lower lip; it had a small whitehead but felt swollen to the size of a small grape on the inside. The whitehead itself however wasn't protruding from the lip like a normal pimple but visible below the normal surface of my lip.
I've been applying Maybelline Baby Lips lip balm for two months and recently the edges of my upper lip started drying out and in 2 days my entire lip was swollen, red and burning and feeling stretchy, but its not chapped but feels extremely dry. It has happened to me twice before (had used Avon lip balm then) and i applied Smyle herbal gel and Vaseline and it worked. This time though it is not working. I've been applying Smyle gel and Himalaya lip balm to cure it.
Some causes of the symptoms you mention, could be lip biting, lip licking, Vit.B2 deficiency, smoking, overexposure to sun and ill fitting dentures. In extreme cases, this could be due to bacterial or fungal skin infection.
You need to drink plenty of water daily – around 1.5 – 3 litres per day and eat a balanced diet. Do not keep your lips dry; apply lip balm which contains sunscreen – preferably a medicated one.

ve been trying to treat naturally with aloe and stinging nettle drops (natural antihistamine). The swelling has mostly disappeared, however, a blister still remains on my upper lip as well as some sensitivity and numbness. (FYI three clear blisters formed while my lips were swollen but all have healed except for one). Wondering what this might be and if taking Benadryl at this point might still be helpful?
I woke up this morning and both of my lips are swollen and the skin above my upper lip is red.i noticed that my lips have a very small bumps on then that kinda look like underground pimples but they are red not white.I tried putting ice on them to reduce the swelling but w/o any luck. I do have asthma and allergies but i have not been in contact or eaten anything new.What could this be? and what would be a good treatment to making the itching and swelling go away?
My bottom lip and the inside of upper lip have turned black it has been that way ever since i was 16. I never had this problem before i was 16. Hi, my dermatologist has prescribed me a antihistamine for my itching and wants me to use it for 4-6 weeks. The med is called hydroxzine. I am concerned because i never heard of anyone using antihistamine for that long. Will this severly affect my liver? Please help!
2 days ago, I started feeling a slight burning sensation to the corner of my lip. When I originally touched it, it was just a slight bumpy feeling. The corner of my lip felt sore all day. By the end of the day, I finally checked in the mirror and I noticed these tiny white bumps by the corner of my mouth. They look like pimples but I have a feeling that they aren't. It was just strange because I was fine until I had some spicy fried rice and I'm not sure if that was the cause of it.
You need Benadryl or an antihistamine to reduce the allergic reaction. The chapsticks won't do much. You should feel noticeably better taking the antihistamine.
Whatever that cereal was--- no more!
