When this began in April of 2018, she could not hold down food or liquids for weeks. She went in for a scope and they said she has 5 ulcers at the top of her stomach opening. They aren't peptic ulcers. Her doctor said she likely developed the ulcers from taking too much Advil, because she has debilitating cramps when she's on her period. He prescribed Prilosec to reduce stomach acid production and told her to start taking tylenol instead.
The ulcers are detected by endoscopy. Medical treatment for healing of ulcer is Proton pump inhibitors like omeprazole for 2 weeks which will reduce acid secretion and heal the ulcer. And eradication of H-pylori infection (an organism found in the bowel) by using antibiotics will promote ulcer healing. I don't think a gastric pacemaker would help because gastric pacemakers help with nausea and vomiting but they don't actually speed up the emptying of the stomach.
I am concerned as to whether I have gastric cancer or an ulcer or something else? I have an endoscopy scheduled in 2 weeks but that is too long from now and I am going crazy with anxiety and stress having to wait that long!

I think he is being honest with you, and but they are rquired to biopsy any abnormalities (even an ulcer). I have never heard of a gastric ulcer being cancerous, and there are many things that can cause these. I had one caused by taking Advil for 10 days, I actually vomited some blood. Well, yeah, but the remedies for an ulcer are different than the remedies for other gastric problems. It's hard to believe your mother about this, though, because as you probably know, an ulcer if not treated can eventually become a bleeding ulcer, which isn't wonderful -- I had one many years ago. I thought I had one like you and saw my doctor, who said I was too young to have one and let me go.
I was informed by one medical person that I have gastric ulcer, then I started observing some conditions that was given to me. Then whenever I experience any form of discomfort, I will take antacid. At times, when I take alcohol or eat late at night and go to bed, I will end up vomiting all that I had taken, and it comes out with blood.

Since this is a new symptom, I would notify my doctor if I were you. It could be benign, but it also could be an ulcer/gastric bleeding. The Victrelis side effects do not specifically state ulcer as a possible side effect, but they do indicate that gastric bleeding could be a side effect (black, tarry or bloody stools).
