I exercise one hour a day, 5 days a week. I watch my diet, never smoked and drink low alcohol level white wine daily. Both of my parents had high blood pressure. My mother's mother also had high blood pressure. Thank you in advance for your response.

What about benedryl? An antihistamine? I'd try that. The wine won't help. And will give you a whole host of other problems so I'd stop self medicating with that sweetie. It is going to compound your problems. Plus it is a depressant and if you are already anxious, feel blue and depressed about this situation, it will just make that worse. So, that's my 2 cents on the wine for comfort care. Try an allergy medication to see if it has any benefit.

I personally don't take antihistamine but just some advice I read that - antihistamine suppresses the immune system - never thought about it before - they work like steroids - some very good advice on another forum was - do not take antihistamine if you have lyme I am sure some of you already knew this but just thought I would mention it

Barb669, I have wondered this for most of my adult life. I'm now 65 and my mother also had this issue. When I was about 28, it started and she said she had dealt with this. I just LOVE medical people who think it's the wine or the spices or that we ate too much. Why does it NEVER happen at home, not ever? I eat spicy food regularly and it doesn't happen, I drink wine sometimes but not much and it is equally at home, friend's houses and restaurants.

My allergist told me to try Claritin tabs instead of gel caps but I took one after having my allergy shot and I broke out in hives again. Now all the pollen is out and my eyes are really itchy and red and I have a hard time seeing at work. I tried taking Atarax last night to see if that would help more than Benadryl. Big mistake since I woke up broke out in bad hives. I had to wait to get home to take benadryl since I am not 100% certain that Benadryl does not give me hives.

I personally take a claritin everyday. I have seasonal allergies and pet dander makes my eyes and face really itchy. My Dr OKed it and said its totally safe. Hope this helps.

30 PM I took a 10 mg dose of Levitra after a dinner during which I consumed two alcoholic drinks (whisky with water and a glass of white wine). In the course of the early morning I experienced some itching in my genital area. In the morning at around 8 AM I noticed swelling of my index finger of my right hand an rash/hives in my genital area, front waste, and under my arms. I have consumed much water in the course of the day.

I had prior to the vet visit above been given Wilson one half Benedryl 25 mg Antihistamine morning and evening, in the hope it would clear up the paw problem. A couple weeks of this did not produce any improvement. I then checked and saw recommendations to use 1 - 2 mg per pound. As Wilson is j20+ pounds my does level was low. I have decided to continue giving him Benadryl but now one 25 mg capsule morning and night. Hope it keeps his paws and general itch problems under control.

The acid pressure can move into the throat without you realising it and cause pressure in ears and sinuses and sometimes breathlessness and quick pulse. etc. I would suggest seeing your doctor for some anti acid medication, or over the counter, Gaviscon for instance. Avoid, caffeine, alcohol, especially white or sparkling wine, tomatoes, peppermint and chocolate.

Had an eczema with itching outbreak on forehead area and took a Benadryl antihistamine pill. Fine for 24 hours, then took another and that night had a three hour AFib episode. hello, i am not much of an alcohol drinker but the other night we had pizza and cake and 4 glasses of wine for a birthday party and later that night i woke up with severe pains in my lower chest that went straight through to my back and it was really worse than labor i have 3 kids so i know, anyway my doctor says its from wine and i can no longer drink it, that seems crazy to me is this possible?

I have been drinking beer for a while now, and just recently have been having allergic reactions to most beers. I used to drink Budweiser, Bud light, all the other special Bud's, Michelob ultra, Mickeys, and just about every cheap beer that comes in 40 oz. Recently while drinking these beers, I would breakout in red spots on my chest, arms, and my face would turn red. I would also have difficulty breathing.

as a breast cancer survivor and wine lover i cant help but feel guilty every time i pour a glass of wine. do any of you know of a correlation between the 2. i know it isnt advised but just trying to hear some opinions.

I felt my intestines churning and woke up with signs of diarrhea on my underwear. Last evening, again after a great meal and red wine, I took a Tums. In the morning, same thing -- diarrhea signs on my underwear!! Does anybody know if antacids interact with red wine to cause diarrhea?

I dont think anyone should ever drink knowingly pregnant u just cant be sure (im not talking about ppl drinking before they know) ur body is not just urs anymore and drinking while bfing u can do but pumping and dumping does not get rid of the alcohol any faster u have a time frame that u cant feed baby in depending on ur alcohol intake

I think wine coolers actually have less alcohol than wine so I don't think it could hurt.

I'm 33 weeks and have had 3 glasses of wine and 1 beer my whole pregnancy.. I've been pregnant through Christmas, New Years, my hens night, my wedding, my honeymoon and soon to be my birthday lol plus alot of other birthdays so I've had a few small glasses!

I have got to support the idea of wine (booze) and thyroid meds. Mixing alcohol with the meds causes me to suffer more panic than usual the next day. EAster I had a few too many Paul Masson's. That night I felt grrrrrreat - but in the wee hours of the morning I woke with such a panic attack - it was horrible. I haven't figured out IF it truely was /is the actual alcohol or if it is due to it converting into sugar.

I have had days were I have a coupe glasses of white wine and be fine and the next time have one glass and get tachycardia. It really ***** I miss being able to have a couple drinks with friends and not worry about this. I had 2 glasses last week, but was outside and overheated as well, and had an episode and in front of all my friends, very embarassing.
