676912 tn?1332812551 Will my supply adjust as Aubryana gets older and needs more? She's been nursing for at least an hour at night the last couple nights, spitting up more and more gassy than normal so I bought her some gas drops today and I'm gonna see how the weekend goes and call the dr to see if it's reflux if she's not doing better with it Monday...
741877 tn?1265950200 i started pumping breast milk when hanna was 4 days old....
Avatar f tn t the right forum but I feel more comfortable asking questions here...I had my daughter on the 9th and at first I had a really good milk supply where my breast would become engorged every two hours if I didn't pump or feed regularly....and I was pumping 2/3 ounces from each breast every time.....now I can hardly get an half an ounce :(....I try to have my daughter on my breast every two hours but it seems like she gets so irritated because nothing is coming out....
7656727 tn?1404157447 to latch him cuz my nipples.got.really sore and cracked and bled. So I finally got a pump today to get all my milk out and now it looks like I wont be making as much milk. Is there anything I can take to increase my milk supply?? Any recommendations would be highly appreciated. Thank you!
Avatar f tn Hey i didnt leak until i had my son but unfortunatly my supply was very low and he was unsettled so i had to put him on furmula afyer 2 weeks and express any milk i had to top him up with that but everyone is so different good luck
Avatar f tn Almonds Help A lot too. I tried Mother's milk tea and almonds and a lot of water I was bf on demand so I had a lot of milk supply I was kinda drying up so they told me to try all that before trying fenergreek.
136689 tn?1419580447 Hey ladies just wondering if there is anyway to increase milk supply besides pumping, I'm not feeling that full feeling anymore and blayde seems to have to suck a bit more than usual to stimulate me to let down, and i usually can get 150mls out of both breast after feeding but today could only get 50mls.
7358510 tn?1427032173 If you are going to do a beer then make sure it is a dark beer, also oatmeal and drinking raspberry leaf tea can help boost milk supply. There is also a breast milk tea out there as well.
741877 tn?1265950200 t have enough milk supply for my little one as I would notice he would be hungry and want to feed every hour but only for about 10 min or so then he'd fall asleep and repeat this for a few hours in the afternoon. I literally feel like all I was doing is sitting down and feeding him. Now I have to supplement with formula so that he gets enough food and then he is much more content and won't fuss every hour.
Avatar f tn I would breastfeed then pump afterwards, and I always had enough to store in the lil freezer baggies that came with breast pads. I never ran out of milk and defrosting the milk was easy, just let it sit in a bowl of hot water. My baby didn't care that the milk wasn't warm.
Avatar n tn I'm 38 weeks and am worried about milk supply. I know milk doesn't come in till a few days after baby is born. This is my 4th pregnancy and normally i leak like a cow for 4 to 6 weeks before the baby is due but this time my boobs feel empty and i haven't leaked is this normal?
Avatar f tn Then she will continue to suck and get breast milk. Pumping helps to increase milk supply and you could pump and feed while you transition.
2121625 tn?1350484749 def dont suppliment, it will be a growth spurt, just put him to breast as often as he wants and your milk supply will increase to his demands, also you shouldnt feel engorged anymore as your milk supply will be regulated by how much your bub is having :)
Avatar n tn Thank you ladies! I was concerned with the colostrum didn't know if it's there when I deliver. So I will have enough colostrum to feed the baby until my actual milk comes in? I know this is gross but I have something I'm not leaking any but I have the hardened milky stuff on my nipple every day. Is that colostrum?
9455625 tn?1412820762 I just had my baby on Friday and I've noticed my milk supply is very different on each side. This morning I fed her for about 10 min each side then I pumped and managed to get 5oz out of one side but only 1oz the other side. Can anybody suggest something to help get the other side producing the same amount?
Avatar f tn Just nursing whenever baby wants it, and eating well and staying hydrated. Your body will continue to make it as long as you need it! If you want you can get mothers milk tea. But you should be fine without it too.
Avatar f tn Lots of water, all day. And calcium rich foods, not just cows milk. The more frequent you breastfeed, the more it will come in.
4437866 tn?1388119624 Breastfeed often and exclusively (no bottles or pacifiers) when off duty and at home. This includes evenings, nights, and weekends.  Remember: When my baby is with me, he gets the breast. When he is at daycare, he gets the bottle.
Avatar f tn What is the difference between milk thristle and blessed milk? And are they both safe to take while breastfeeding?
278664 tn?1319840159 Ok so a week ago I got really sick, throwing up and diareaha. I lost alot fluids that night and I'm breastfeeding. Well since then my milk has been very low. I have been trying to pump after each feeding to make sure I empty the breast to stimulate more milk, but it's not. I have been drinking alot of fluids, eating well. I've had to supplement almost every night with formula or with pumped milk.
Avatar f tn Nurse on demand and your supply grows how it should. Supplement with formula and your supply may never catch up. As long as baby is gaining weight and having enough wet and soiled diapers a day, you do NOT need to give him formula.
Avatar f tn s worth it and your babies health will benefit even 50 years into future due to breastmilk. Pump more try nursing more and there are some herbal mothers milk teas to promote milk supply. You can do it!
1205562 tn?1554747006 Of course there are other ways to increase milk supply such as Mothers Milk tea, napping, double pumping, making sure you're drinking plenty of water, etc. Remember this: if you do chose to drink a beer, dark beer (Guiness for example) is the kind to drink, and you don't need more than 1.
Avatar f tn What helped me was boiling fennel and drinking that with little bit of milk and i also take 10-12 capsules of fenugreek, and i have lotss of milk i pump 5-6 oz
1209036 tn?1299178657 t do this, pump every 2-3 hours, and through the night. You can also take fenugreek and blessed thistle and these should help up your supply. Formula will keep him full longer (giving him a more satisfied look) because it's not as easy to digest as breastmilk, so if you switch it wouldnt be surprising if he eats more frequently. Kylie has more or less lived latched on me for the last 5 weeks. If you want to try BFing still, get in touch with a LC or the LLL. They should be able to help you.
