Avatar f tn Hi, Aside from physical therapy, massages and high doses of ibuprofen, anti-inflammatory medications and muscle relaxants can help. Try to avoid stress and you can also try relaxation techniques such as biofeedback or psychotherapy and other relaxation techniques. With regards to ibuprofen, make sure that you have food intake and that you only take it as prescribed to prevent long term problems with your liver. Take care and do keep us posted.
Avatar n tn You should wash the area and keep it clean, apply calamine lotion at the site and take some oral antihistamine or antiallergic medications like loratadine or cetrizine for your symptoms. It would be best to consult a skin specialist if the rash does not resolve in a few days. You should get the relevant investigations as advised by your doctor including blood work. Let us know about what your skin specialist advises and if you have any other doubts. Post us about how you are doing.

Avatar n tn Obtain needed out-of-door exercise, sunbaths, and swimming. It can also be treated using an antihistamine nasal spray. Antihistamine like benadryl works by blocking your immune system's response to the allergen. Symptoms can also be relieved by using a nasal spray that contains corticosteroids. Corticosteroids work by helping to reduce inflammation and congestion.

1679858 tn?1346765181 Hi.....I try and take an antihistamine with helps with ne inflammation....and if I still have a HA I take Ibuprofen...so far this works for me. We are all different with what works and what doesn't.....if it is a huge storm coming in....I might need more the just the ibuprofen....but that is not too often that I take RX meds for HA's....I take them more so for EDS joint pains if I have a really bad day...again, which is not often...
Avatar f tn Hello, The most common way to get rid of a stuffy nose is to use an over-the-counter (OTC) decongestant combined with an anti-inflammatory analgesic (pain reliever) like Ibuprofen. However, you should not use decongestants for more than 5-7 days at a time. This is because they can only provide short-term relief for catarrh, and using them for any longer can make your symptoms worse.. Avoid indigestible, spicy, foods and meats. Eat simply of wholesome food.
Avatar f tn What about benedryl? An antihistamine? I'd try that. The wine won't help. And will give you a whole host of other problems so I'd stop self medicating with that sweetie. It is going to compound your problems. Plus it is a depressant and if you are already anxious, feel blue and depressed about this situation, it will just make that worse. So, that's my 2 cents on the wine for comfort care. Try an allergy medication to see if it has any benefit.
461838 tn?1255790216 I have posed the question of tylenol vs ibuprofen, and people here have weighed in generally warning against ibuprofen. Even tylenol, you would not want to exceed 2 or 3g per day. Basically, ask you hepatologist about any medications you are taking, including OTC's. Allergies themselves can cause much headaches because the sinus system in the areas behind the forehead, nose, and eyes are clogged up with fluid. Ask your doc for a safe allergy treatment.
Avatar f tn are you asking if you can take hydrocodone and ibuprofen together? if so what mg of both?
Avatar n tn ve been prescribed large doses of ibuprofen (800mg 3 times a day) along with high doses of methadone, for pain and inflammation. Don't take that much ibuprofen if you don't need that much, and don't take it if your kidneys aren't healthy.
Avatar n tn Obtain needed out-of-door exercise, sunbaths, and swimming. It can also be treated using an antihistamine nasal spray. Antihistamine works by blocking your immune system's response to the allergen. Severe and chronic cases may require sinus drainage. These remedies should work for you. If the symptoms still persist then pls consult an ENT specialist. Take care and do keep us posted on how you are doing.
Avatar f tn Things that often help Eustachian tube dysfunction include taking an antihistamine (generally associated with allergy medication and can often be bought over the counter), nsaids such as ibuprofen and benedryl. Chewing gum, swallowing or yawning may help as well. https://www.healthline.com/health/eustachian-tube-dysfunction#treatment There is also another condition that can cause symptoms called labyrinthitis https://www.webmd.
Avatar n tn A few days ago my right ear started feeling a little full. A day or so later I was feeling draggy and like I was coming down with something. I went to local clinic doctor who looked at it and said "Yes your eardrum is inflamed a bit." I had no fever. She prescribed Keflex, and I'm on my 4 dose of it. Now it's the weekend and the ear is probably a bit worse, I feel achy etc, and am running 99.8.
Avatar f tn Ibuprofen and such tends to give me stomach pain and I've been On ibuprofen for years. Heat helps but just for the 30 sex or so the heat is applied. Other than that nothing.
Avatar n tn No, DO NOT give together! Temeril-P IS an antihistamine w/ a small dose of steroids included.....You don't want to give another Antihistamine (Benedryl) on top of that......
Avatar f tn My allergist told me to try Claritin tabs instead of gel caps but I took one after having my allergy shot and I broke out in hives again. Now all the pollen is out and my eyes are really itchy and red and I have a hard time seeing at work. I tried taking Atarax last night to see if that would help more than Benadryl. Big mistake since I woke up broke out in bad hives. I had to wait to get home to take benadryl since I am not 100% certain that Benadryl does not give me hives.
Avatar f tn I personally take a claritin everyday. I have seasonal allergies and pet dander makes my eyes and face really itchy. My Dr OKed it and said its totally safe. Hope this helps.
4610518 tn?1361075748 Oxycodone, I took between 7 to 11 per day the 5 Mg ones. This mental fog is really getting to me and making it very hard to do any thing. Which is not an option. So frustrating. My hubby is getting inpatient with me and I feel we are on the verge of ssplitting up agaim. I try and get something done around the house, may not be much but I at least try. He is expecting me to just get up and do everything like I did before.
