Avatar f tn Have you talked to your doctor and discussed your concerns about it and fertility.
Avatar n tn What kind were you taking?
1048927 tn?1271834011 ask if your doctor will prescribe you diclectin for the nausea. it is a mix of vitamin b6 and an antihistamine, which has been used for over 50 yrs here in canada. i've been on it for the past month and it has really helped with my nausea, though it does make you drowsy when you first start taking it. also, it is pretty expensive, but very worth it from my perspective. i highly recommend it. good luck!
Avatar f tn My allergist told me to try Claritin tabs instead of gel caps but I took one after having my allergy shot and I broke out in hives again. Now all the pollen is out and my eyes are really itchy and red and I have a hard time seeing at work. I tried taking Atarax last night to see if that would help more than Benadryl. Big mistake since I woke up broke out in bad hives. I had to wait to get home to take benadryl since I am not 100% certain that Benadryl does not give me hives.
Avatar f tn I personally take a claritin everyday. I have seasonal allergies and pet dander makes my eyes and face really itchy. My Dr OKed it and said its totally safe. Hope this helps.
612551 tn?1450022175 I had prior to the vet visit above been given Wilson one half Benedryl 25 mg Antihistamine morning and evening, in the hope it would clear up the paw problem. A couple weeks of this did not produce any improvement. I then checked and saw recommendations to use 1 - 2 mg per pound. As Wilson is j20+ pounds my does level was low. I have decided to continue giving him Benadryl but now one 25 mg capsule morning and night. Hope it keeps his paws and general itch problems under control.
351404 tn?1299489130 Had an eczema with itching outbreak on forehead area and took a Benadryl antihistamine pill. Fine for 24 hours, then took another and that night had a three hour AFib episode. I remember about 20 years ago, I last took an antihistamine and got flutters. Is there a connection between AFib and antihistamine, ie have others an opinion or experience of this?
Avatar n tn Benadryl (diphenhydramine) is an antihistamine and is used to treat sneezing, runny nose, itching and other allergies. So, as mentioned above it dries out the secretions and hence is not recommended in lung disorders. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
Avatar n tn try clariton oral, nasal crom and allaway(eyes) or just try the clariton and alaway first and if needed add the nasalceom. I have severe allergies to cats and dogs, pollen etc. and it works for me.
Avatar n tn Apply calamine lotion at the site of the lesions and see if it helps. You could take some oral antihistamine medications like cetrizine or loratadine. You need to maintain a good personal hygiene . Wear lose comfortable clothes. Wash all your linen and towels etc with a disinfectant solution. Anti-itch drugs, often antihistamine, may reduce the itch during a flare up of eczema, and the reduced scratching in turn reduces damage and irritation to the skin.
Avatar f tn They had given me a steroid shot and steroid pills to continue taking for about 8-10 days. Along with a antihistamine. They worked and rash was cleared up. The same rash appeared about 2 weeks later again i went to the doctor and they did the same routine (steroid and antihistamine). Cleared up again. Now 2 weeks later the same rash is back but not as severe. This time there is redness in my face as well.
Avatar n tn t think to much of it because I was spending a lot of time in the sun. In the last month the patches have become pink and have spread to my chest and my upper thighs. When I'm sweating or really hot they really flare up and are very red and noticeable. They aren't itchy and are very small. It seems to be concentrated around my belly button which seems to stay pink most of the day, but sometimes fades to white, but much more pale than my natural skin color.
Avatar m tn On day three I went to the doctor who ruled out shingles, and suggested I get tested for STDs and try an antihistamine. Tomorrow I will get tested for STDs, though likelihood that I will test positive for anything is extremely low. Antihistamines have done nothing.Tonight much of my scalp is sore, blotchy and sensitive, and the pain behind my ears and back of my neck persists. I’m worried. Do these symptoms fit any known of profile of possible ailments?
Avatar f tn Hi, my dermatologist has prescribed me a antihistamine for my itching and wants me to use it for 4-6 weeks. The med is called hydroxzine. I am concerned because i never heard of anyone using antihistamine for that long. Will this severly affect my liver? Please help!
Avatar f tn Here she thought she had done the right thing by taking an antihistamine and it had the exact reverse effect. We have no idea what started this whole process and now treating it is a conundrum. She is presently waiting to get an appointment from an allergist but by the time that happens, the hives should be gone. She is trying benadryl cream (topical) and that seems to be working to some extent on the spots on her arms. With any luck, it will help the rest go away too.
Avatar f tn Hello I am a young female, I usually have normal to oily skin, but just yesterday I woke up and noticed bumps all along my forehead, very small like goosebumps almost. Yet, noticeable. I have larger bumps on my neck but not near big enough to be hives. They're very itchy and are hard to notice unless touched. Please help! Currently I'm using antihistamine and aloe Vera gel to relive it.
Avatar n tn Papular dermatitis is caused by blood hormone levels are linked with this disorder especially chronically raised levels of gonadotrophins (hormones produced by the pituitary gland of the brain, and which regulate sex hormone levels) and lowered cortisol and oestrogen levels. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps.
Avatar f tn No, IBS would not affect fertility.

689528 tn?1364135841 Do not try every night! You will get exhausted and sore, and your mucus--both for fertility and for lubrication--will dry up, and you will stop trying too early in the month or miss an important day. Every other day is absolutely sufficient, with three nights in a row during peak time sealing the deal. Don't worry about stress! Regular old worries about getting pregnant, and if you will ever have children, are perfectly normal and do NOT affect your fertility.
Avatar n tn I have rashes and welts all around my mid section. So far they do not itch. I have never had this before.

Avatar f tn I'm a 30 year old who is having trouble getting pregnant and I have just started fertility treatment 2 months ago. I am on Crinone, CLomid, and Ovidrel. My husband and I are doing timed intercourse with this treatment. I am so worried that this isn't going to work, but I was curious to know what the sucess rate is with this cocktail of treatment.
