I have been drinking beer for a while now, and just recently have been having allergic reactions to most beers. I used to drink Budweiser, Bud light, all the other special Bud's, Michelob ultra, Mickeys, and just about every cheap beer that comes in 40 oz. Recently while drinking these beers, I would breakout in red spots on my chest, arms, and my face would turn red. I would also have difficulty breathing.
Have no idea, but when you're allergic to something as specific as beer, it's not the beer, it's something in the beer unless you have a bad reaction to all alcohol. So maybe you're allergic to barley or hops, which might appear in other things as well. Or maybe you're just allergic to malted barley. Or to sugar. Again, don't know. One thing that can cause vertigo and that alcohol in general can exacerbate is anxiety attacks. Don't know if you have that problem.
What kind were you taking?
My allergist told me to try Claritin tabs instead of gel caps but I took one after having my allergy shot and I broke out in hives again. Now all the pollen is out and my eyes are really itchy and red and I have a hard time seeing at work. I tried taking Atarax last night to see if that would help more than Benadryl. Big mistake since I woke up broke out in bad hives. I had to wait to get home to take benadryl since I am not 100% certain that Benadryl does not give me hives.

s party on Feb 11th and that was the 1st time I drank more than 1 beer. I had 2 cans of Carlsberg, 2 cans of Strongbow and some Smirnoff vodka. I drunk from around 7-10pm and when I got home I had problems sleeping- I was very dizzy. In the past i've had 1 can of Foster, 1 can of Carlsberg and 1 glass of Budweiser so I think it was the Strongbow that triggered this. At around 3am I woke up and found out that my whole upper body was really red and tons of white circles appeared at my back.
Wine is only okay after your baby is fully developed in the last month not, "here and there" and beer is not okay. I crave beer all the time but I wouldn't drink a small one I mean what's the point you're not gonna get drunk nor buzzed and it'll just go straight to the baby.
Well I asked my Dr and he said I beer or glass of wine a week in the first is fine and second trimester 2 a week and third you can have one glass of wine with dinner whenever... I went by those rules last pregnancy and my son is just fine but I know people freak out about all kinds of things so idk... It's up to you..
My doc actually told me I could have a lite beer a few times a week to help constipation. I don't think it'll hurt anything by having that.
Do you know anyone who gets drunk and blacks out etc. after one beer? Sounds to me like a mental health issue- paranoia or OCD - which is making you question a safe encounter. If you continue to have these concerns, your best bet is to take them up with a mental health professional. Your concerns are beyond the scope of help that an HIV forum can provide.
okay, so when I drink any type of Budweiser products my throat closes up and my uvula expands to twice if not three times its normal size... When I first drink the beer I break out in hives and then in the morning the throat things happen.. I just want to know what is causing it because one Smirnoff ice was enough to put me in the er... I am abroad right now so its hard to just go see a doctor.

I have regular bouts of what I assume to be heartburn: discomfort behind the lower half of my sternum.
It only really bothers me with liquids, even a large batch of almond milk smoothie, that I made the other day. Wine gives me a certain amount of discomfort, but beer really gives me trouble. After two or three pints I get quite intense pain, and a need to vomit. It feels like my whole system has backed up, and that my intestine's won't let the contents of my stomach through.
My question is that I was on librium 5mg 2x's a day and am wanting to have a beer w/ the game. If I stop taking them how long do they remain in my system. If I don't take them on the day I drink beer will it be ok? Not wanting to risk anything therefore wanting to get info from others.
