That's something you should ask your prescribing physician. Syndol isn't a medication used in the US. I had to search for a while just to find out what was in it. From what I can tell it's simply Tylenol, Caffeine, Codeine and a sedating antihistamine similar to Benadryl. Just by looking at the profile, I'm assuming it's prescribed for tension headaches? If you're trying to conceive, you may want to just try not using it for a while.
The reason Tylenol PM helps you sleep at night is due to the Diphenhydramine which is a sedating antihistamine that is used in many OTC night time formulations. not life or death type allergies, but sneezing, itchy nose and eyes, headaches. I take a one a day antihistamine to deal with it. .. but it says on the box not to take if pregnant. I get the same thing when I stop taking my Afrin. It's not 'addiction' in the classic sense of the word... it's more like your body has become "med dependent". If you're not getting high from the stuff, then I'd say that's what you've got going on.
My stuffy-head and flu'like symptoms is my body telling me "Take some more Afrin!", but if I tough it out, it passes within 12 hours and I can be Afrin-free shortly thereafter.

In the grand scheme of things, there's a lot worse you could have taken. A little background...Tylenol PM contains two ingredients...Acetaminophen and Diphenhydramine HCl. Diphenhydramine HCl is better known as Benadryl. It's an antihistamine that produces some sedation like effects. Now, when I went through rehab, we couldn't go near any "mind altering" substances, including Benadryl. Will you get addicted to it? Probably not.
Here's one for the books. My daughter has had a allergic reaction to an oral antihistamine she took for what appeared to be hives just below the right side of her derriere. Tylenol has two active ingredients, acetaminaphen and pseudoaphedrine, along with an antihistamine. The acetaminaphen is not addictive, and pseudoephedrine by itself is not considered addictive either- and antihistimines are not physically addictive, contrary to what some allergy sufferers may believe.
Ambien, on the other hand, definitely poses a risk for addiction.

with percocets before, my husband has recently confided in me that he has a pill addiction, we are trying to find the best way to get him help, however we have no insurance and he is currently the only working parent, anyway, i found a bottle that had a percocet and a generic claritin, i didn't know if this was something to be even more specifically worried about than the percocet addiction, he snorts the pain pills, i don't know if he is taking the claritins at all, or how he is taking
So like ireallyneedhelp76, I've battled insomnia, I do mange to get a few hours here and there. Last night my RLS was INTENSE. Tonight I was cleaning out my med bag to ensure no more norco was lurking in there. I recall purging all the Ativan, Xanax, Klonopin, Clonadine, Valium, and oxycontin last time I went ct. To my delight, I found that I clung on to one bottle of hydroxyxine. I immediately thought "score", I'm sleeping tonight.
Do not mix antihistamines though such as an oral antihistamine and spray. Ocean Spray does not have an antihistamine and will simply dry you out and is safe to use with an antihistamine.
