Has anyone taken ambien while pregnant? I told my doctor I couldnt sleep cause of the pain I'm in from her weighing too much. I cry every night cause I literally can't move to toss and turn or get up to pee cause of the pain. So instead of any kind of pain meds he gives me ambien. Anyone else taken this drug??
I've looked up a lot about ambien during pregnancy and I haven't found anything saying you shouldn't take it or that it'll harm the baby.
Has anyone spoken to their doctor about ambien? I've had ambien prescription for years and it's really hard for me to sleep.
No I'm not addicted, I used to take it only once or twice a week. It wasn't an every day thing. But it gets sooooo hard for me to sleep some nights so I'm wondering if it's safe.
Then, 30 minutes before actually going to bed I give him Ambien CR. The regular Ambien was not working at all. Ambien CR on the other hand seems to calm him down and there has been less action. I also placed a body pillow between us and that seems to curtail some of the aggressiveness. It gives him less space to move around and I feel safer. Yes, he speaks while he is asleep, (more of gurgutal sound than words) but it has come down a bit.
I took prescribed vicodin in my first trimester while I did not know I was pregnant. My first OB visit while pregnant was at the end of my third month. I notified her that I was taken vicodin and she said it was not a problem. She also told me not to continue to take vicodin. Some days I would not take any and some days I would take one or two depending on the pain. I quit cold turkey about two weeks ago.
I wouldn't take a sleep aid while pregnant either, and definitely talk to your doctor, you should try to wean yourself of it anyway, because you can't take it with a newborn either, if it makes it harder for you to hear/wake up. And unfortunately, the tossing and turning gets worse as your pregnancy progresses because of discomfort, I'm 26w4d and toss and turn ALL night!
You could be opening a huge can of worms w/ ambien. Will 2 hurt you? No. If you like ambien, you could be at risk trading one addiction for the other.
Yes, if you haven't tried melatonin, do it. I take it. Seems to work. But, the biggest thing is that sleep will come back. It's just takes a while. By, 25 days you should be getting SOME sleep, 4 hours a night I would think. Make sure you are drinking no caffeine at all during this!
The doctor said I should try ambien and gave me a rx that I have not gotten filled yet. Has anyone tried this and how did they react. Please any input would be helpful.
I was prescribed ambien before I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer about 6 weeks ago. It was a miracle pill for 4 days and after that it really didn't help me sleep. It did turn my mind off and slow things down, but sometimes I am still awake hours after taking this. Everyone is different and I sure think that it is worth a try! Good luck with it!
r u sure it is the ambien? it could be a mixture? all 3 drugs aggravate depression and out of the 3 ambien is categorized as the least addictive of the three drugs u r taking.....i would talk to my doctor and find another alternative for sleep....taking these every night could get u into trouble..have u tried the natural sleep aids like melatonin, valerian, etc?
While I was in the office, I forgot to ask whether this new drug could interact with the Ambien, so I stopped taking the Ambien until I could see my doctor again. About a month went by in which I did not use Ambien at all. During this time, the abdominal pains gradually lessened over a period of weeks, and eventually disappeared.
Does anyone know a capable doctor in Florida who can help someone taper off of Ambien and Xanax - Tampa area?
I have been on Xanax,ambien and citalipram for probably 10 years. Lack of educating myself on what these drugs actually do! And being in unhappy marriage I was desperate. Been tapering off all of them in last 6 months. Only on 10 mg of citalipram now. I am desperate! I cannot sleep because been having full out panic attacks when I sleep every time I sleep! Wake up soaked and have to change gown at
Least 4 times a night. Anxiety so bad cannot think straight. Do NOT want go back on.
