Common Questions and Answers about Ambien generic pills

ambien

Avatar n tn I take 20mg of Ambien at night for sleep. I have tried everything, including taking time off the medication to get it to work. However, nothing seems to be working. Recently, my doctor added Trazodone 100mg to help the Ambien work. Can anyone think of anything that would work like this?
492921 tn?1321289896 I do not respond to generic Ambien the same as the brand Ambien. I would recommend trying the brand, if you can afford it. It can make all of the difference. I am so, so sorry to hear about your miscarriage and your post traumatic stress. Sleep will be very important in your recovery, so I hope that you can get this resolved. I would not recommend using xanax for sleep, however. What dosage are you taking?
Avatar f tn It was a new purscription but was told by someone this information "I work for a primary doctor if your doctor will write you a script for lunesta in a generic form your insurance will pay for it also they will pay for ambien in generic it's alot less cost he should give you aleast a 30 day to see if it will help.
Avatar f tn i have been using ambien for many years now. i used the ambien and it's generic form zolpidem. it has always work up until two months ago when apparently the pharmacy changed suppliers. i took the little round purle pill up until then and now i take a white oval one. This one does not seem to be working as well and the side effect just seem wierd Does anyone think that the new manufacturer product is inferior and has anyone experienced this?
Avatar f tn This was an issue when Ambien went generic. Many of the generic zolpidem formulations don't work. You can find forums on the internet where people talk about finding the generic zolpidem that is the exact same formulation as the original Ambien tablet.
Avatar m tn My wife has been on (generic) Ambien for years.. don't recall how many. All her doctors know it, including her Oncologist, Primary Care, and Psychiatrist. I can't testify to the addictive nature but it does seem that her body had adjusted to it somewhat, that is it is less effective some times. I take the pill very rarely and it works. I too prefer not to use it regularly and don't.
5061022 tn?1363018223 Anyone else dealing with an addiction to sleeping pills? The doctors have put me on any and every kind of sleeping pill....the only thing that worked was ambien xr but now thats not even working so I am taking a store bought sleeping pill, ambien and clonazapam all at once...I mix it up each night but I am taking way more than I should or that is prescribed. I can't sleep well without them tho but I can't really sleep with them either since they don't work well anymore....
Avatar n tn Ambien (zolpiedem) helped me. It works quickly, doesn't give a morning hangover and is pretty cheap as it's available as a generic. I haven't tried the Ambien CR (time released, non-generic). Only thing about ambien is that, for me, I wake up after about 6 hours. But those 6 hours are pretty solid sleep.
Avatar m tn I complained to the pharmacy and they immediately replaced the Teva pills with pills from Mylan. Fast forward 3-5 years and the same thing happened again. Pharmacy gave me pills from Teva, they made me sick, and I was told that Mylan had gone out of business because their facility was destroyed by Hurricane Maria (in Puerto Rico). After doing research I instructed the pharmacy to get the pills from Torrent (manufacturer).
Avatar m tn For the mood tracker, could you please add Ambien or its generic Zolpidem to the list of medications currently listed?
Avatar m tn Ambien sounds strong also and I read it makes you do some incredible and possibly dangerous things in your sleep. I do have a couple sample pills of both ambien and trazodone. Is there any harm in trying one for two days, wait a day and try the other the next two nights just to see what works best?. Would one .25 mg. of xanax taken every other day, or even every night at say 2 a.m. be habit forming should I go that route?
Avatar m tn i also was perscribed ambien, i felt worse after taking it so i am living with the insomnia.
Avatar n tn I agree..sleep medicine is just a short term fix. But i do have an underlying condition, fainting upon standing and a lil faster heart rate. I am also tiny, i have low blood pressure. But everysince i was diagnosed with my condition, i have been having alot of sleep problems. I did see a sleep doctor, he said most of my insomnia is psychological and the other is because of my condition. he did recommend a sleep study after a month of therapy.
Avatar m tn Ambien Cr. I've been off Methadone for two months now and still can't sleep. Actually I now fall asleep about 6am and wake up about 2pm. Totally screwed up. I plan on getting back on it. Its the best night sleep ever and it will knock you out for the night time withdrawals. It gets better, hang in there.
Avatar m tn My wife has been Zolpidem (generic Ambien) for 20+ yrs. She recently took a job in China and has been told the ultrasound show 'fatty infiltration of the liver'. She is 50 yrs old and drinks only occasionally and excercises and eats well/healthy for the most part. Could her long-term use of Zolpidem have contributed to this liver problem?
Avatar f tn It's normal. Thankfully it only occurs every week or two for one night, but when I can't sleep I use an ambien. Also I stay away from caffeine after noon.
Avatar m tn i am taking ambien cr. melatonin and temazepam at the same time. Is this going to harm me?
Avatar n tn I have been taking 5mg of generic ambien for about 5 yrs. I take a pill every night. If not I am worthless during the day from lack of sleep. I know that this is discouraged but since I have to work, I have no choice.
Avatar f tn Good for you George, I have this problem but I wake up every 2hours. I travel so much with my work that my sleeping hours are never consistent. For that reason I never use a sleep aid. At only 5mg of Ambien a day I don't think you will build up a tolerance to Ambien anytime soon. Glad you can get some sleep anyway, I never seem to get more than a couple of hours a day.
Avatar f tn Hi Ray....I agree w/ed34. Warfarin is generic for Coumadin. Since it is the generic for brand Coumadin it is given in same dose. Mom took Warfarin for the 1st three months after her event. Month four, the pharmacy was temporarily out so I took brand name Coumadin (more$$, of course ;-) but it was the exact same dose. Month five, she was back on Warfarin. Best to you...
Avatar f tn I am still having terrible issues with sleeping. Takes me hours to get to bed. they increased ambien to 10mg and when that didn't do much they added 1 mg of adavan. I take them both at bedtime and I am still awake hours later. Once I fall to sleep I am sleeping longer without waking up, but sheesh i would have thought these pills would have knocked me on my butt! Any ideas??
Avatar n tn The first time it happened, I wondered what was making my bed vibrate and then realized it was me. I have been on ambien for several years and have started using the generic form in the past 4-8 months. This problem started in the last 4 months. I also had a period where my memory was literally shot. I had days where I wondered if something had happened or if I'd dreamed it, I was in such a fog. Could all of this be coming from the generic ambien?
Avatar f tn Have you tried also taking Tylenol before bedtime, to keep the pain from waking you up? I tried Ambien and Ambien CR, I sleep well with it but it gives me horrible day-long headaches the next day so I've stopped taking it. I take a Clonazepam and a Benadryl before bed, Tylenol too if I think I need it, and sleep pretty well most of the time. Lately the dreams have been wild, though!
739988 tn?1386672969 I feel for you, my doctor give me Zolpidem 10mg which is the generic for Ambien. There is also an Ambien CR. If you get it read the warnings carefully as its a very contravercial medicine. No not take at all if you are prone to sleepwalking! Safety first. I hope you get some much needed sleep. Sweet dreams.
Avatar n tn I usually take ambien cr but, my insurance ran out because I lost my job and it's too expensive. The pharmacist suggested generic ambien and sent a request to my doctor. My doctor called and suggested trazodone? Now, I was fine using the ambien and actually just sleep and wakeup great in the am and only used it on nights before I worked so I could get to and stay asleep because I have mind racing thoughts and don't actually get to a restful sleep state if I do get to sleep.
Avatar m tn 10 mg of ambien and 100 mg of serequel works great for me. Is there any problem with this combination.
