When I asked her what was that she explained me that she had an allergy from the belt buckle (the rash looked pretty much like that, but I am not too sure, because it was dark : http://blog.saintsabrinas.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/belt-buckle-allergy.jpg ). She also named the allergy and the name sounded like "kota... something" but she said it really fast and I couldn't remember it.
Anyway I got scared... stand up, put my clothes on and left.
Thanks for everyone's reply. We have switched detergents to a Tide free and clear, no fragrance, etc... but it will take a while till everything has been washed in it. What soap do you recommend for the shower? We have been using Dove for years.
I don't think sweat is the trigger, I really don't sweat much.
I have yesterday bought gold bond and that seems to soothe the itching.
I will also contact my Dr. and ask about Loratidine.
I have had a somewhat kind of rash or bites on my legs for the last month. Hi, for the past 4-5 nights I've had a rash/hive issue on my legs. I wake up around 3am for whatever reason and then it starts. My legs get really itchy and hot and there's often splotchy red areas and areas with white dots. I eventually fall asleep again and when I get up for the day there's nothing there. I have gotten up in the middle of the night and poured cold water over my legs, slept with frozen towels on my legs even sat and rubbed ice cubes on them.
Nothing works and I am at my wits end, I have cried ond cried with the itching and burning. Sometimes I wish I could cut my legs off!

It's very difficult to say what the cause of your allergy is- have you been to an allergist at all?
I'd start by keeping a journal- note what you eat, what products you use on your skin, even the weather- anything that you believe could be the cause and note how your rash is.
You can also try to eliminate things that you are exposed to when you notice the rash is bad- and see an allergist so they can help walk you through this.
and more specifically, the lower limbs, below the calf muscle, on the back of the legs.. i went thru a lot of posts here, n i can c dat a LOT of ppl get an itch after shower/swimming. well i too get extra itchy after a shower, but my legs itch otherwise also, for no rhyme or reason. although i havent tried any of the creams n lotions, i have been using herbal soaps for like my entire life, but this problem started just a month back.
I'm a swimmer and have developed this rash which consists of red bumps over my back, arms, front and legs. The rash itches terribly. I've tried creams and lotions and the rash stops itching in about two days. I find if I wash three times it seems to help keep it from getting to bad. Therefore I assume that it is something in the water.
It only happens when I swim in my "Y" pool.
The bumps are on my hands, feet, buttocks, waistline, arms, legs, and genitals. The worst bumps occur on genitals, waistline, and buttocks. My 65 y.o mother recently started getting a rash that began on her upper chest and has spread all over her body-head, face, arms, legs, hands, buttocks, legs. It starts out like a red discoloration on the skin and progresses to small open sores, not blisters. She had a severe allergic reaction to levaquin back in september, but recent rash did not begin until feb. She was taking macrobid for kidney infection in jan. but rash did not begin until feb.
I've been having hives only on my lower part of my legs and lower part of my arms. They are like dry patches with tiny bumps. In a dry climate, I have no issues. When I'm in a humid climate, it gets worse. I've taken Zantac and Claritin, steroids and no luck...

I have a rash that Started on arms 3wks ago moved to legs rash on legs gone but now its all over my back neck and around the stomach. Also some on one breast.
I've taken allergy medicine seems to relieve symptoms should I continue when should I go to doctor.
What worries me is it seems to go away than come back.
t feel so great. I developed a bit of a rash (most of which has disappeared again) on my feet, in my mouth on the palm of my hands and a little bit on my legs. But much worse than that, I've been itchy. Just everywhere, on my feet, inside my stomach, in my ears on my legs, etc.
Today I'm feeling reasonably good, but I've got a cough which is quite annoying and a runny nose.
I haven't slept well in the past few nights at all. I find it very hard to go to sleep.
