My wife developed this red rash on her on her face mostly on her cheeks and nose about six to eight months ago. At first we thought it was acne but no acne treatment helped. Our dermatologist doesn't know what it is. It happened about the same time she had her ears pierced. The backs of her ears have been swollen and red and she has a rash down the side of her neck starting from the base of her ears. She also says that her neck is itchy.
When my face is exposed to the sun I develop a raised rash all over my face which is red and blotchy but also with lots of white spots. The rash only occurs on my face even if the rest of my body is exposed. I wear a factor 50 sunscreen and try to cover my face as much as possible but it generally occurs whenever I am in the sun for a period of time. The rash usually takes up to five days to clear and can be quite sore.
Not being caused by pregnancy I don't think. Your skin could just be irritated. Try taking a warm shower with soap that you have used in the past. You could get some cortisone cream and put it on if it's itchy.

At first I tried my mom's face cream.(olay regenerist microsculpting cream) and I was allergic so I had this huge bumpy red rash, that was crusty and swollen. Only on one side of my cheek. It was swollen so much that i looked like a half sumo wrestler. My lymph nodes were also swollen. So i went the doctor. They gave my antibiotics, allergy cream, and allergy pills.
The rash doesnt itch at all but it makes my face feel really hard and dry. The rash is spread all over my face especially around my hairlines and didnt get any better using cream my doctor prescribed me for my face. I've stopped using gel and shampoo js to see if that was the problem, but nothing has made it better. For someone whos never had even pimples before, this is quite frustrating.
i have been experiencing itchiness on my ears , chin, face and neck and i wasnt able to sleep well last night.
I have a serious rash on the face for 11 days and it keeps getting worse. I saw my dermatologist and she said it was from allergy, but I was taking antihistaminic drugs (Aerius), which she prescribed me, for 7 days and no change. I also have this rash on my arms, legs and chest but not like on the face. In Monday she prescribed me antibiotics (doxycycline) and I see no change to better. I'm feeling like my face will fall of. It burns and sometimes is itchy.
I'm Vitamin D deficient and started taking 50,000 IU of Vitamin D; only to find out I'm allergic. My face and neck have swollen and developed a rash. I've read this has happened to others, but I haven't seen a solution posted. I'm sure it will work it's way out of my system; however, I'm on day 4 and wondering how much longer the reaction will stick around??

iv been unwell now since the 27th sept o9 with what the docs call is an allergy but to what they have no idea it started itching with a slight rash around the face below my ears within days my eyes swelled badly and my whole face and neck was swollen and very red iv spent over a hundred pounds in perscriptions and i still have no idea whats going on iv had steriods since it started and still on them iv had steriod cream which made my face peel 4 times also i had a bumpy rash on both palms of my
I broke out in a rash on my face in April. It seems to be spreading... It's burning and itching. My allergies have been pretty bad lately so I've been taking Zyrtec. I'm wondering if this is a reaction to the Zyrtec or if the Zyrtec helps it calm down. It does calm down then "flare" back up. It's starting to look horrible. I've never had skin problems and Im embarrassed to go in public. Doctor doesn't seem to know exactly what it is.
Hi. I keep having allergic reactions on my face only. Its like a rash and is quite blotchy and very red. I have a severe allergy to peanuts (which i avoid all nuts). I've been to the doctors (as im discharged from the hospital) about my reactions as they happen now on a daily basis, which they've been giving me antibiotic steroid cream which helps my reaction calm down.
It sounds to me like you are on the right track with your thoughts. I have an allergy to sulfa, and got sun poisoning when I went to a beach about 100 miles south of where I live. Yours sounds pretty severe though. I would talk to an allergist and see what they say.
I'm a swimmer and have developed this rash which consists of red bumps over my back, arms, front and legs. The rash itches terribly. I've tried creams and lotions and the rash stops itching in about two days. I find if I wash three times it seems to help keep it from getting to bad. Therefore I assume that it is something in the water.
It only happens when I swim in my "Y" pool.
