I am 3 years post breast cancer i had lumpectomy chemo rads i have taken tamoxofen for 2,5 years now on aromasil i had a bone density scan and was told i had low calcuim levels, now on calcuim sandox and actonel asked if i had osetoprosis and was told no have read around actonel and have not taken it yet as of the side effects please can you advice thanks.
There can be a massive heart attack (MI) and the muscle cells necrosis (death) can be global and one does not survive. Or there can be a heart attack and the heart muscle can survive with timely supply of oxygen...the saying goes, "time is muscle". Or there can be a small isolated area/areas of necrosis and location can be significant or not.
The pain varies (chest, jaw, arm shoulders {sharp or dull}) and sometimes there is no pain.
ve discovered the ADA and most dentists say the jawbone and teeth cannot affect the rest of the body and that jawbone necrosis (dead bone) is inert, localized and does not spread if it is present. I've also e-mailed with people who discovered this was not true, had jawbone necrosis removed and their health returned. This is either controversial or unknown among 99% of dentists (it appears). I am still having necrosis removed but mine has spread so much that it may be too late.
I take once monthly Actonel. While I was pushing the pill through the foil blister, it broke. I did not take that pill for fear that it could cause stomach problems. My question is would it have been safe to take? Also, if I contact Proctor & Gamble, do you think they might replace the pill. If it was a daily pill, I wouldn't worry about, but I just lost a whole month of medicine due to a faulty package design.

I will check out that website. The drs won't let me take things like actonel or that class of drugs as my osteoporosis affected the bones in my jaw and they are afraid to take the chance as with those drugs there is a risk. I was disappointmented about the forteo. I think that drug is more dangerous than its worth personally.

i currnetly am taking actonel for my bones the past 3 years and klonopin i per night and take alot of vitamins such as B compex etc. no alcohol consumption but i do smoke half a pack of cigarettes per day no other medical conditions known 6 months ago all my blood workups were normal . ANY IDEAS WHAT CAN BE GOING ON WITH ME ?
I have horrible teeth I know. u name the dental problem I probably have it. what has been bugging me for weeks is my left jaw. it's swollen it hurts if u run your hands along both my cheeks there is a very noticable bump and the left side and u can feel the swelling inside too. My best guess is bad infection from really bad abscess but I'm not a dentist. I have insurance but only medicaid. I'm kinda poor. Where do i begin to fix my teeth ?

Sometimes people do get injured by the cath, so I would wonder the same thing as Koop123. But like kenkeith, I have a hard time imagining a cath injury to the ventricle wall that would be bad enough to cause a permanent scar. Don't take me for any kind of expert, but the cath injuries that I have heard about were more along the lines of the cath puncturing a thin vessel wall.
I am just tired of taking medicenes that seem to cause other problems. I think I have the GERD from taking Actonel even though I followed the instructions to the letter for taking the Actonel. No longer take it. Just take calcium.
I had a breast reduction in 2006. Since then I have had numerous problems with fat necrosis. How common is fat necrosis following breast reduction and what is the causes of this problem ? Also is fat necrosis painful? I also had a mammogram and ultrasound in July of 2008 with repeat films in December of 2008 which showed a increase in size of the fat necrosis in two separate areas. Any thoughts or comments on this issue. Thanks for your help.
At least one of the teeth developed a dry socket, and they are taking a very long time to heal.The site where the bone was burnt is concave from the rest of my jaw by quite a little, and it still hurts. i can feel hard pieces that crack when i press with my tongue-inside my gums.

I would definitely ask your doctor why she thinks it should be biopsied. Did your doctor mention fat necrosis? Fat necrosis is a benign condition, supposedly produced by trauma to the breast, considered somewhat rare (except in cosmetic surgery circles apparently). I don't believe it is as rare as indicated. I had a classic late stage fat necrosis lesion that was BIRADS 5 scary on the mammo and US.
After looking at my recent x rays he has informed me that I have Avascular Necrosis in both knees. My left knee joint has collapsed and the right one is heading for collapse. I was hit in the breast 12months ago by exercise equipment (really hard blow), had a bruise, not much pain, and it healed. Now I have a hard, firm, non-tender, non-moving pea size lump. Can trauma that long ago be producing a lump now? I do not recall any lumps at time of whammy to breast nor up to 2 weeks ago. Scheduled for mammo & ultrasound...if it's necrosis will it be obvious to the radiologist?
My question is I am a 38 year old male that is been diagnosed with Avascular Necrosis of my right hip with the most recent x ray`s showing partial collaspe and a small fracture. I am in extreme pain every day I have not been able to find a surgeon that would do either a hip refurfacing or replacement. Is it common for someone my age to have to live with this type of extreme pain ?

These came back normal too. He insisted I see a surgeon to evaluate it. I did and he believes that it is fat necrosis but is not sure and doing a breast biopsy on the 9th. I am so nervous. What are the chances that of a lump not showing up on a mammography but then is cancer?
