Avatar f tn m much thinner but sadly i still have some untone muscle and skin on my stomach and little flubber on my upper upper inner thighs. Daily I run anywhere from 3-6 miles and i do three sets of crunches, "russian twists", planks, and lunges. Does anybody know anything i can do to get a more tone and flat stomach and toner thighs? (i'm willing to commit to the exercise as long as i can have hope that i will get results). Please and thanks.

Avatar f tn I already feel a lot healthier and have seen some improvements in my body. I tend to carry my weight in my hips and upper thighs and I was just wondering if anyone has any good tips to work on these areas. Right now my routine is 45 min biking, then 30min weights and exercises (mostly abs and arms) and then 35 min jogging. I am up to try any new exercises that would help target my problem areas so any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

Avatar f tn I downloaded the apps "Daily Workouts free" and "Lose Weight Fitness and Workouts", those two apps have a ton of workouts for targeted areas or your whole body. They are also short videos so they show you how your body is supposed to be positioned. Daily Workouts also times you in intervals. Hope this helps if you're able to download apps. I also have the app "Fitness Buddy", but I haven't looked at it as much, that one looks more targeted towards men.
Avatar m tn I was an apple shape from puberty until age 27--large belly, broad shoulders, ample chest, but barely there hips, thighs, and butt. It didn't matter if I weighed 135 or 165 (and everything in between): I was always the same shape! I used to run and do upper-body strength training 3-4 days a week but couldn't change my body shape. But then I started doing circuit training and using a stationary bike. I also upped my workouts to 5-6 days a week.

Avatar f tn Can anyone give me some super toning leg (thigh) exercises? Most of my body is absolutely fine but my upper/inner thighs are still a little flabby and I can't stand it!! I run 3-4 times a week but I find it difficult, I can jog 4km and that's a bit difficult and I can run for 2km. I know that's pretty bad but it's also getting a bit too warm to be running, so ANY toning thigh exercises would be appreciated!

Avatar f tn Simple circuits with free weights ie. curls, overhead press, seated rows, tri kickbacks and push ups for upper body, and squats, step ups with kick, deadlift, calf raises, and lunges for lower body. Generally 3 sets of 15 for everything. Limited to 20lbs as directed by midwife, but it feels good to stay fit!
Avatar f tn You'll have to cut your daily calories and eat healthy foods - talk to your parents about making sure there are plenty of veggies, lean protein, etc available. Try walking (or other activity you enjoy) and yoga for exercise. Walking burns fat, as long as you keep a good brisk pace for at least 30-60 min. Yoga helps build muscle (which burns fat) and is great for toning. You can do a google search for different yoga videos, that you can watch for free, in order to learn how to do it.

In addition I started to have joint and bone pain in my knees, legs, hips, shoulders. It has become so bad that if I just cut the grass I suffer for days with serious pain in my muscles and joints. I am on high blood pressure medication, lisinopril 7.5 mgs for about a year. I am also on clonazepam for about 14 years at 0.

If you exercise regularly and make changes to your eating habits, as your body fat percentage decreases, you’ll see improvements everywhere, including your thighs. Cardio will help you increase the number of calories you burn to help your fat loss. Weight training will build size in your gluteus maximus, which is the major muscle in your butt. Do three to five cardio workouts into your schedule every week.

We called and doctor said put zinc on it for several days and nothing helped. Then many small brown spots appeared almost like tiny little "scabs" thought there was nothing to pick off. The next day it was better though there was vulvar irritation.

Avatar f tn In the last 3 or 4 years I started trying out different forms of exercise. Running seemed to be the most effective, however I've developed some problems with my knees and right foot. I've also tried yoga (hatha, bikram), pilates, various types of bootcamp and recently the bar method - all of which I enjoy. If there's weightloss, I can usually see it in my face and upper body, however my problem areas are my abdomen, obliques and thighs.

I have had x-rays, blood tests and an ultrasound but no MRI yet. I feel like it's most likely bad muscle tearing or other injury from the workouts as everything else came up negative.

If you're ready to graduate from body-weight exercises to regular trips to the gym, try weight machines that directly target your lower body. A leg press targets your thighs and rear, while leg curls on a leg curl machine will help you get firm thighs and a strong back.
Avatar f tn I am a 31 year old male that has been experiencing bilateral leg pain for about a year. Pain is mainly in thighs and calves. No weakness really, and no numbness. Feels like I did a ton of lunges or other leg activity after minor workouts. Almost burning feeling sometimes. They have felt kind of jelly like a couple times after exercise but not a usual thing. Some spasms... Usually okay if not walking or standing for an extended period of time, but will start to ache when doing so.
Avatar n tn I currently have what appears to be various rashes on my both of my upper thighs. The largest are about the size of a quarter. However, in addition there are various spots all pinkish to red in color that go into my inner thigh and groin. There are no marks near or on my penis. They itch and burn but it is not extremely painful. There are no lesions but there could be slight bumps where hair follicles are or just the rash appears redder by hair of follicles.
Avatar m tn I have been having stiffness/weakness in my upper arms for about a year now. It comes and goes, changing sometimes in the course of the day. The only findings a year ago were high thyroid antibodies (but normal thyroid function), low vitamin D and fluctuating cortisol levels. My upper arms particularly are bad, but sometimes I have a general stiffness/crampiness in my calves. I generally do not feel well. Is there any explanation for this?
