In an effort to describe my symptoms more clearly, I have patches on my tongue that grow and spread. They start as tiny white patches, then I brush my teeth and they become tiny red patch, by the time i wake up in the morning, there is a thin white ring around the edge of the red patch. When I brush again, the white ring rubs away and thus the red patch grows.
I have 3 pinpoint-sized, bright / stark white spots on my cheek and gums.
About 5 months ago, I started experiencing small eroded sores on the sides of my tongue where my tongue touches my teeth, near the back of my mouth. These patches have persisted to this day.
In the beginning, it was typically just 1 small sore at a time. These sores typically had a very thin white ring around the outside edge and areas grew slowly over a course of several days, until the white ring disappeared and the patches stopped growing.
I asked my doctor what was causing the sores on my tongue over a month ago. He told me it was due to my geographic tongue. I tried to explain that I had never had geographic symptoms on the SIDES of my tongue - he didn't listen.
I recent went through a course of anti-biotics which made the "sores" worse.
Now my doctor finally diagnosed me with Thrush. He wants me to wait until I'm done with my current course of medication before starting the thrush medications.

After being paranoid about having hsv2 after a stupid, unprotected one night stand with a man of an unknown status, I tested negative at 4 months and was treated with antibiotics for a bacterial infection.
A few weeks after being on the antibiotics, I got a really foul taste in my mouth and noticed my tongue is coated in white that won't scrape off, with red spots (not sores). There's no pain, just like a weird feeling on my tongue.
They start and take about 10-15 days to heal and typically occur in same areas, back of tongue and tip of tongue. My tongue also feels hot and burns. My dr said she was pretty sure it was herpes virus that caused my cold sore, so i guess spread to the tongue. I did a swab and it came back normal but my dr said thats bc the sores had been there for several days and the swab would need to be done in the first 48hrs. Problem is, in the first two days theres nothing really there.

the day after the oral i noticed some sores in my bottom lip, inside my tongue, and a white little dot (looked like a raised taste bud that was white, and was tender to the touch)
MIND YOU I am a smoker, and have had sore lips and sore on the tongue in the past, rarely (been smoking more bc of being laid off)
the sores are not open, more like a little bead (had those before - i assume from smoking because its in the general area where the cigarette touches my lips AND I was tested a few weeks

He has never had any symptoms of genital herpes - just white sore spots on the front edge of his tongue that last several days accompanied by tingling and feeling like tiny cuts. He was getting over a recent outbreak (no active lesions - just minor discomfort) when we saw each other 13 days ago - and the discomfort left about four days into our time together. Cold sores are caused by herpes simplex virus and are very contagious. Usually, you have tenderness, tingling, or burning before the actual sore appears.
t have much time today and I want to get to the bottom of this. On Wednesday I noticed a small white dot on my tongue sore to touch, very sensitive. And at Wednesday night I had come down with a fever that lasted till Friday morning but on Friday morning I realised I had more of these spots on my tongue (3) and on my lip. Upon further inspection I noticed a swelling or lump type thing growing just before my tonsils making it hard for me to swallow.
Ive also had blood work done which came back normal so I am not immunocomprimised. I know I already have HSV 1 bc I have had cold sores. The sores on my tongue began when I had a cold sore and have never left. I have been under a long period of stress and I am thinking thats why I had such an extensive outbreak. My question is, since I had this will I continue to have these outbreaks on my tongue for the rest of my life?
ve also have gotten small red and white sores in my mouth underneath my tongue and on my lips (total of three or four). Besides the coating and sores, I still have swollen lymph nodes as well as some skin on the chest right below the neck being red, no texture change or bumps/lesions yet. Swallowing is not painful and I don't have a sore throat or cough anymore.
Potential exposure would have been a little more than three weeks ago. Can I get some opinions?

Since you have mentioned that the lesions on your tongue are quite painful, the only important lesion which I can think of is canker sores/aphthous ulcers. They commonly occur on the tongue or on the inside of the mouth. I don’t think there’s much to worry about as they usually resolve over a period of time and you need to seek an opinion from your health care practitioner only if they don’t seem to heal.
I am a 27 year old guy. I just received an oral sex 2 months ago, no ejaculation, nothing, just 5 minutes and no open sores on my penis. I noticed today that I have a white bump on my on both my upper and bottom lips for the first time ever. Should I remain abstinent (NO SEXUAL ACTIVITIES) with my partner until these cold sores leave? I did not experience pain with these bumps first coming at all. I can feel them with my tongue. What is the best medication for them. Ora Gel single dose a good option.
Its not raised or anything but just white. My tongue is also white (towards the front) and greenish (towards the back) and kinda furry looking with my papillae on the tip of my tongue visible. Ive also been experiencing a tingling sensation on the side of my tongue, which goes away quickly. A couple of weeks ago I had sores on the sides of my tongue, 1 on 1 side which went away a day later and another on the other side which went away a day later.
about three to four weeks ago i noticed a tiny white bump near the tip of my tongue. It almost looked like a pimple. i picked at it until it "popped." then the next day, more appeared. and now one has appeared on the top of my tongue. they are irritating, and when touched, they hurt a little. I don't know what to do, because i have no health insurance or money for health insurance.
I have been wracked with a horrible sore throat and sores in the back of my throat and tongue. I would be more than willing to provide pictures to any expert who would be willing to tell me if I'm over blowing this or if I need to seek testing. I also had white top covering my tongue the next day which I proceed to scrape off and clean my throat with mouthwash and brushing.
The sores on my tongue are red and at the back and are larger than the sores in the back of my throat.
